The Death Clock
now do it with the status as smoker and compare them. I checked them all with smoking on. Apparently, it doesn't make a difference. Except for smoking while being optimistic. That added 4 years to my 'lifespan'. #-o

Items to remember a tragic moment
Has anyone seen the commercials for that "unique, silver-leaf, genuine Liberian legal tender" giant 9/11 $20 bill? I swear, it looks like if you peel it back, it'll be made of of chocolate. Actually, scratch that, it will be made out of pure, unadultered patriotic [cabbage].

MySpace Stalking
If you're going to bash someone for spelling errors because they didn't capitalize 'myspace', you should probably take a minute to consider where your life is going, and if you really want it to go that way... On another note, I believe that talking about how awesome you are is considered to be bragging. You even said it yourself: Next time you want to go off on someone because you think they misused a word, check that dictionary first. :

MySpace Stalking
Puh-leaze, it isn't stalking if it is on the interwebz. Get out onto the street with those binoculars! Uhm... kay. I'm kinda wondering where that came from. Oh well, it isn't like I need another reason to not get anywhere near myspace. #-o

What do you do on airplane trips?
-Sleep -Watch the crappy inflight movie on the tiny screen in the back of the seat. Five times in a row. -Shout semicoherent remarks about the gremlins that are destroying the engines. -Wonder how high the pilots are when we go through extended periods of 'turbulence'. -Sleep some more. Joy.

Sweet16s/Debuts: Big waste of money or BIGGEST waste of mone
Sweet sixteens: As if we needed another reason to hate MTV. I'll be sixteen in a couple months, y'know what I'm going to do? I might hang out with a few friends, sleep, eat some cake or something, and go out at night to have fun with the old formula of laser pointer + crowded, nighttime street = fun. :twss:

Drawball - New Recruits Needed!
Sorry for leaving it for a while, but thanks to some friendly sports rivalry, I'm up to 100%.. Not sure if I should even bother trying to fix ours... Anyone know if the /b/ people have put a logo up? I'm getting the urge to murder it.

Is God real post your thoughts!
It is one of the ultimate pinnacles of human arrogance to assume that humanity is the only intelligent creation of 'god'. I have never encountered or heard of a religon that didn't preach that we are the only intelligent species in the entire multiverse, and that we are 'special'. In the extreme unlikely possibilty that a being or race of beings (i.e., 'god') advanced enough to create entire biospheres, complete with sets of flora and fauna, including intelligent species does exist somewhere inside or outside of the multiverse, then I seriously doubt that we are their only intelligent creation, or that we are in an way 'special'. I find that one of the primary reasons for belief in a religion seems to be that people don't want to accept the fact that they are utterly unimportant, and that after they live out their life, they will die. People actually help to blind themselves to the truth of the universe because they are afraid of their own insignificance and death. And then there are the ones who are in it for the money or power, and the ones who want an excuse to steal land and resources. Bleh.

Today...
I found out that I won't be able to enjoy part of my 3-day weekend. Apparently, I've got a ton of work to do... a paper for english, some other junk that I don't remember, and 14 pages of analysis to write on whatever book I happen to be reading.. Knowing me, I'll be putting that off till Monday, because (good point! : ) my replacement AOE II disk should be about through the digestive system of the USPS. Bleh, boring, I know...

Do You Support Stem Cell Research?
I support it. Basically, the U.S. government is preventing stem cell research because of the religous views of part of the population. Seriously? :wall:

Why is it wrong for males to hit females?
It really depends on the situation; if a girl was just messing around, or was mad at me for some reason, no, I wouldn't hit her. If she was actually trying to hurt me, I would try to calm her down or something.. Because honestly, the double standard of society bars me from doing anything more. If I threw a punch or two in self defense, I would probably be charged with assault... And I would never be stupid enough to punch a girl, for two reasons. One, I'm not the kind of person who solves everything with violence. And two, some of the women I know could kick my [wagon]. Common sense, neh? ;) (Slightly offtopic, I've read a few books that have societies with the same mindset, in reverse. It's all in the mentality of the culture. Earth's societies, predominantly patriarchal ones, have cultural mindsets like 'women are weaker' and 'personal wealth is important', not to mention religous beliefs, not because these are the correct views on these subjects, but because they are the ones that we have been conditioned since birth to believe are correct. It's simply a matter of perspective.)

The Offical TIF American Elections thread
Green Party. As far as I'm concerned, until the Democrats start running candidates without hidden agendas or conservative economic advisors, I'm staying away from them. On another topic, one of the best candidates is unrepresented; Vermin Supreme. (http://minorcandidates.com/supreme.php)

International & National Extradition Laws
Well, this is only something I heard about recently, but supposedly Canada now has an official policy of allowing extradition of draftees who fled there. (If anyone can confirm that either way, please do...) Crud. Any suggestions as to where I should go if/when the draft is reinstated?

Flag Burning.
Okay, in America, the flag is seen as a symbol for the beliefs that America was founded on, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, et cetera, and most importantly, freedom of speech. And these same people who practically worship the flag, and the beliefs that it represents seem to think that freedom of speech should suddenly not apply to flag burning(among other things.)... When they want to ban flag burning out of 'respect' for those same values, including freedom of speech. :wall: I guess this is one of those rare cases where americans will be completely hypocritical about their so-called belief in their rights when said belief would interfere with their personal opinions. And yes, I burn flags occasionally. The first time was out of curiousity, namely the curiousity about the chances of being shot for burning a flag in the South. (Relatively, the northern part of the South, but still.) After that, it was in protest of one thing or another. I think that that the real problem seems to be that people are not bothering to discover motivations, they just label us as communists, terrorists, or whatever the popular 'enemy figure' of the decade is. I, at least, do it to protest some law or action, etc. that I disagree with, not because I hate everything about this country. Let me say this again, I do not hate the country, or the ideals that it was founded on. I hate the way it has been corrupted to the point where the government is essentially a tool for the banking families, defense contractors, fossil fuel CEOs and the like. I hate what it has become, not what it was supposed to be.

2012 Apoclypse: Fact or Fiction?
I'm all for it, regardless of weither or not it will happen. I would rather have our diseased DNA wiped out in ~3 years and 4 months than in the decades it would take for the radioactive waste, nuclear wars, global warming, zombies, etc. to kill us all. But that's just me.

AHHHHHHHHH!
Well, this was way back when I was a little kid, during Halloween night, I ate ~ 26 of those 1.5 inch candy bars, 8 reeses cups, 5 of those little peanutbutter cups, two handfuls of candy corn (bleh), 10 twizzlers, a dozen or so jolly ranchers, three boxes of milk duds, a mini-box of whoppers (Chocolate & malted milk, for those who don't know... bigger bleh.), and a few random hard candies. I didn't gain a single pound... #-o Needless to say, I was very, very unhappy for the next 48 hours or so... Even more disgusting, I once drank a 6-pack of that orange Mt. Dew Livewire stuff. In something like 10-15 minutes... I'm surprised I'm not sterile.
