Ouija Boards
I've got one. The only time anything happens is when someone is faking it... But it is fun to mess with people who actually think that they work..

One of the best inventions ever: Invisibility
I could go through that post and underline every instance of bad grammar or spelling, but it would be easier to just underline the whole thing... That thing that you mentioned about the 'invisible ship', if I remember correctly, was supposedly a destroyer or destroyer escort that was outfitted with a high-output powerplant and some sort of field generator that either allowed it to make use of preexisting wormholes, or allowed it to create wormholes that it could use to instantly travel to another location. Theories about what happened to it are varied, but all (that I remember... ) agree that it was in the mid-Atlantic/south-Atlantic in the midst of an American fleet when it activated the generator and disappeared. One story explains that it traveled forward in time and appeared near a naval yard, where it was taken in and the crew were either killed or locked away somewhere. Keep in mind, I'm not actually endorsing any of that information, just putting down what I remember...

Cosmetic Surgery
I have the same view on having cosmetic surgery or transgender surgery as I do on driving an SUV, going to a private school, attending religous ceremonies, collecting stamps, watching the Ice Capades, smoking weed, suicide, driving drunk, living in California, being a member of PETA, surfing, drinking Pepsi and going to Las Vegas. I won't do it, but I don't really care if someone else does. Unless I were to be doused in gasoline and set on fire or something, then I think I'd want skin grafts or something. (Although living my life with those scars would be interesting, assuming I survived...)

The government and its control over us.
The public school system exists to control and force conformity on the children of our country. It teaches nothing, it only exists to press us into molds and product more ignorant, brainwashed soldiers and workers. And the government is controlled from behind the scenes by the international banking families. The U.S. was originally formed to escape the control of the British banking system, but we were retaken fairly quickly, thanks to the "Federal Reserve Bank". Our government is constantly borrowing money from the FRB, which is, despite it's name, a private institution, and every dollar borrowed by us and our government is essentially a loan, with interest. And the only way to pay that interest is by... You guessed it, borrrowing more money. Driving us even deeper into debt. There is no real way to escape this trap set by the banking cartels, save rebellion. So what will we chose, the collar and leash or the sword and the pen? Just a link here that applies a little:

2012 Olympics Ceremony - let's not throw away over $300mil?
As other people have said, just handing some country in Africa 300 million would do more harm than good, as would buying products and giving those. All you are doing is flooding the economy with cheap products, driving local businesses into the ground. And if you hand out the money, even if you give it to individual families, and even if it isn't taken by a warlord or corrupt government, all you are doing is driving them further into a hole, because with these continual handouts, people will use that money to buy food, and once it is gone, they go back to starving. They still have horrible living conditions, they still don't have a job or source of food, they just will live a while longer. What needs to be done is bring in truly large sums, billions of dollars (This is NOT very much, compared to the annual budgets of many superpowers), and develop the infrastructure. Don't funnel in money or products; dig wells, build better homes, set up plumbing and water treatment plants, give people seeds and animals, help them develop the land for farming, bring in outside workers to set up businesses that they can work in. Allow them to sustain themselves, rather than being propped up by foreign money.

Clinton Superdelegate Murdered in State Capitol
Why am I not surprised? :wall: So you don't agree with someone else's views? What are you going to do? Kill 'em. At least, looking at the past 12,000 years or so of human history, that seems to be the favored way to resolve things. It's a shame that they died.. But at least the guy was caught before he started slaughtering everyone in the church. I would say that there is a decent possibility that he was sent to do it by some covert government agency, but he was probably just another freak who can't resolve differences of opinion without bloodshed. (On a side note, I live in what most people would consider the South. Yeah, there really are a lot of conservatives who could probably do something like this. I've observed this sort of violent hatred and ignorance of liberal ideas firsthand. Of course, they are outnumbered by normal people, but they are still there. Just because it's a stereotype doesn't mean it isn't occasionally true...)

Speed Stacking
Everyone who made a post saying that it is a pointless waste of time: Guess what those posts were? And most of them took longer than 15 seconds to write, just like most posts that are pointless wastes of time... So you waste more time making pointless posts than you would stacking cups. But whatever floats your boat... I guess it could be interesting, but honestly, I don't even have the cash to buy a set of paper cups (or the spare time, but that has to do with school and work..)... It might make for a neat trick at parties.. So even if you mess up, most of the people will be too drunk to care. :

If you could kill one celeberity
I'm back with a list: -The entire cast of 'High School Musical' -The entire cast of every show on the Disney Channel -45% of the population of California -Everyone who has ever starred in a 'Romantic Comedy' -Whoever thought up the idea of the sitcom -Whoever invented 'reality' shows -That wierd guy who hosts 'Deal or No Deal' -That's about it. Not going into bands here because I don't want thousands of angry replies and pms. (Hopefully the number of people on the TiF who like the bands/artists I'm thinking about is lower than that...) So yeah. :

One of the best inventions ever: Invisibility
So this'll be, what, the ten billionth time that the U.S. military has opened Pandora's Box? Even if it weren't used in military operations, the civilian applications alone are horrific. That is, if it is marketed commercially. I wouldn't be surprised if the government prevented it from being manufactured for any uses other than military... But if it were, then think of all the ways it could be misused... Robbery, murder, stealing company secrets, and stupid things like sneaking into your office when you're late for work, or peeking at girls in locker rooms. Now, I love the sound of it, and I'm predisposed to like anything that signifies technological progress, but I am not going to ignore the fact that humans will almost certainly misuse it.. With 'cloaking fields', which is what these sound like, there is the potential to have completely invisible forces, which would even further reduce the need for significant numbers of troops in most situations. (I.E., other than in immense wars of occupation involving dozens of countries, the number of combat personnel [Ground troops, Special Forces, tank crews, pilots, etc] needed would be relatively small, as opposed to the millions of troops that were involved in WWI or WW2.) But of course, knowing the U.S. government, the tech will/would almost certainly be used for only small groups of special forces, and by agents of the CIA, NSA, and the like. Because really, if they aren't going to spend the money to give all of our troops body armor and armored humvees, d'you think they'll start issuing cloak field generators to all of our soldiers? So basically we developed a cool new piece of tech, and we're going to use it for violence and personal gain. Sounds about par for the course. Unless this isn't real... =S Now if they would ever get around to developing hyperdrive, we could have hyperspatial ships that could cloak...

What do you think happens when we Die
Depending on our will, our bodies are either buried in the ground/in a stone closet to rot, or they are burnt to ashes and kept on a shelf until the kid next door finds them and thinks that they are chocolate milk mix. If we had some sort of deep emotion or regret at the time of our death, our mental energy might become imprinted onto the world. In cases of weaker emotion, we leave nothing more than an imprint, an image that doesn't sense and can't respond to the changing environment. In cases of stronger emotion before death, the impression of our mental energy is somewhat stronger, and we can percieve and, to a limited extent, interact with the world, essentially becoming what people refer to as ghosts. Of course, in the vast majority of cases we just stop. Everything goes away. Our minds, our souls , cease to exist. And that is why religion is so popular. It says 'Don't worry, when you die, you'll live forever or be reincarnated!'. You won't. You will end. Everything you have ever experienced will drain away. You will not exist in any shape or form. Almost (If my theory is correct..) all of us will. One of the most fascinating things to me is the human denial of death. We can't imagine it, so we try not to think about it.

US Naval Aramada set to blockade Iran?
The US is going to invade Iran. Why? Who knows, whatever 'terrorist' attack is next will undoubtly give us the excuse. And then we'll go into Iran to 'liberate the Iranian people' (In the above text, terrorist = Covert US agency, and Liberate the Iranian people = steal all of their oil, make massive profits for defence contractors.)

Has public opinion of Runescape dropped?
RS has never really been very popular, but honestly, I don't care, because Runescape is more fun than playing 'better' games like WoW or loitering in the mall. And as for the more 'mature' audiences in other MMOs, just look at some of the comments on gaming forums and the comments pages on youtube vids of 'Wow vS RS'...
