Gears is just more fun than lost planet, yes, i think even in multiplayer. Thing is, LP is like complete freelancing. Whereas in gears, teamwork is a mjor component, but skill is still a major part of course. Simpler controls, and better graphics. Storyline? Any storyline kills gears'. Seriously. But i think its more fun, and it got popular for a reason rite? PS: Wats with the haters on halo? Its easy to call a good game bad like 3 years after its release. I mean, its still one of the most popular on Live, and if that isnt enough, the sales numbers dont lie.

Well the new ones used to be $150, but their production has been stopped and i doubt game stores get em anymore. Gamestop sells refurbished xboxs for $120 last time i checked(a while ago). Im sure theyre a 100 or less now.

The double-bladed lightsaber, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. Energy Sword, Halo 2 (altho unplayable in halo1, it looks kooler there in npc hands) Gnasher Shotgun, Gears of war. Which other shotgun can blow the enemy in little bloody chunks(literally)? Homerun bat (i think thats wat its called), Super smash brothers. 1 hit kill, and more satisfying than any other weapon in the game.

Once in Halo 2, where i got my first online killing spree. IT happened when i charged into a crowd of ppl in the map 'Coagulation'. A plasma grenade kills 2, and i fire a sniper rifle point blank at the last guy. 1 shot headshot (or maybe his shields were down). Like a second later a guy tries to ram me with his warthog. I throw a 2nd plasma grenade, and it was a lucky tag kill. I thot i was invincible, and a scorpion blows me to pieces.... Then in Gears of War, in gridlock. Im hiding by the entrance of the sniper tower. The last man on my team, i charge right in desperately. Three shots, three kills with my shotgun. Also in Gears, it was in Rooftops. My partner chainsaws one of the enemies in their own turf. The rest if them huddle around my buddy waiting for the chainsaw animation to end and then kill my buddy. So i activate my hammer of dawn, and the signature giant laser beam strikes them all right down the middle. Instant 3 kills. And finally in Gears, it happened in Clocktower. I was the last man on my team, against all four of them. I chainsawed one, rolled, and then another. They must have been cocky, or just having bad aim, but i managed to chainsaw a 3rd one. Then one downs me. But for some reason, doesnt execute me. So i get up in 5 secs, roll behind him, and FOURTH chainsaw. The rest of the guys in my team (who were dead) were laughing so hard when they saw the spectacle. We won that game 7-0. What fun....

Commander Keen! Ah, memories as a 6 year old...I think my brother beat it a decade ago. And then i lost it :anxious: ... And jazz jackrabbit, too hard. I always dreamed of resucing that pretty rabbit princess or watever. Cursed turtles... :boohoo: ..... And if anyone remembers, "Black Thorne"? I think thats how u spell it. I could never finish it. What a novel game, basically the grandfather to Gears of War, and all duck-cover shooter games. Ah that was a while ago. Wish i could find the freeware games CD i had...

WHAT!!! That is easily the greatest RPG game for the Xbox. Yea, but the problem is, u need a master's degree in MIT to understand the battle system. God, it was complicated. Not hard mind u, just complicated. But its real fun once u get the hang of it. I think the Megaman games would qualify. Personally, Megaman: Zero 4. If anyone can beat the Hard difficulty with an S rating, ill shake their hand. I mean, u have to finish Normal with a perfect S rating, and only THEN can u reach hard...Mind boggling really.

Man, i bot my 'plain' 360 2 months ago. Does anyone have an explanation why this wasnt advertised more openly? All the warning i got were the rumors of the 120gb harddrive version coming out in the late-end of the year. Well, it definitely would be worth it if i didnt buy a 360 already. The black looks a tad bit nice, altho it looks less professional now, almost like a toy. I think microsoft tried to pull a stunt like the one they did with the Halo-version green Xbox. I cant imagine wat kind of profit microsoft planned on making with a new 360 tho.

Well the topic seems to have deviated significantly from the creator of the thread's topic. I dont feel like sifting thru 14 pages of arguments either... As for the "is homosexuality acceptable" topic running around, and the countertopic "why wont u accept my belief that it isnt", it has all become just too convoluted for me, i wont even try to sound smart here. I say stop word games with this topic. Let ppl think what they want, and if one refuses to listen, leave him alone, let him be. But back to the main topic. I think those (note that i said those and not we) christians are deluded and they are taking the good old religion far, far too extreme. As a christian myself, believe society should accept homosexuals. Not that i think its good, but i consider it like a birthmark. If one was born that way, let him be, and thats that. I mean, i dont see the logic in excluding them from what all other heterosexuals are allowed to do, seemingly the 'correct' group. They are humans, just like everyone else. And as for God and homosexuality...For Pete's sake, God is not homosexual. He doesn't have a sex. We call him a 'he' because we live a male-dominated society, and most ppl are uncomfortable with God being female. And we cant call God 'it'. Not cool... Anyway, i believe that God is completely accepting of homosexuals, just as with heteros. If Jesus came to renew the rulebook and included sinners into salvation, im sure he included homosexuals along with everyone else.

Well its been said, but ill say it again. Christianity is the largest and most openly powerful religion in the world (look at the vatican). So i suppose some ppl who are not christian would like to see the old giant fall. Then crushed. Then ground into little pieces and never talked about again. Now im a Christian myself, so this is my personal views and please feel free to disagree. Anyway, i honestly believe atheists in general think of themselves smarter than those who are not, and that anyone of religion is brainwashed (come to my school....those fools). And on the other hand, several christian folks consider those from other religions and atheists as ignorant persecutors (i dont, believe me). And quite a few folks from other religions are in the recieving end of prejudice and stereotyping, for example Muslims. As a result, those exposed to such hating or racism just dont like atheists and christians in general, or simply try to not discuss their religion openly. As a result, only christians are willing to battle out their faiths openly. And altho there are plenty of faiths atheists would care to argue with, christianity is the prime target, the most powerful and obvious religion that is only too happy to impose themselves back in return. Thus, there are many, many christian vs atheism threads. If i were u, and u encountered haters to ur particular beliefs in forums, best advice is to just ignore it and move on, regardless of ur standing. If it was in real life, i cant help u much there. Just try to be polite, as many ppl in this forum are (ur welcome).

I couldn't agree less. Now not to be overly optimistic, it IS possible for the human race to be extinct. But im sure that humans didnt achieve more or less (almost) complete control of this planet by relying on one source too much. And much less, do we rely on other humans too much. I think we can use the movie "Castaway" as a good pointer to how it could be possible to survive living alone, with no human contact. Regardless, we do in fact rely on each other substantially. But social behaviour by no means limits our ability to survive by ourselves. Now as for the "Last man alive" thread, we must remember that this is only a "what if" situation. The fact that we are social by relying and supporting each other only makes a possibility of extinction even lower. In conclusion; no, i do not think we rely on ourselves too much. If anything, it is a good and not harmful thing that the human race desires cooperation and social behavior.

Funny, altho i dont see wat the whole point of it was. But i was entertained, and i guess thats all that matters. I like the tele tablets idea, and we cant use it for power training because of its time limit. Assuming it wudnt work past lvl 20 wildy, and that it was untradeable, it wud be very legit. Dont like horses either, wud obsolete teles. I like the engineering skil, but not steam boats. Is there any point to a steam boat when 90% of the area in rs is land? I think to be successful in rs, all u need is to enjoy urself. After all, it is a game. Only then, there are the 4 pursuits in rs; money, skills, combat, and friends. But if u try to define success within those 4, it simply is impossible. It wud be trying to assign a certain lvl or amount of wealth to the title "noob". How can they "run" out of ideas? Its not like jagex is some dumb kid believing in April Fool's jokes...(HINT HINT). Besides, there are some creative minds in jagex. If they can come up with quests and minigames, u think they can come up with new holiday events and items?

Whenever i unlock new music, i turn on the rs music and listen for around a minute. Once my blood lust reaches a critical level, i turn it off. But so far i unlocked only the easter music this year, cuz im f2p.... As for having a poll, wat do u think ppl wud rather listen to?

As far as im concerned, the only reason ppl wear the fancy boots is because their easier to notice. And rs is all about having the most flashy items. I like the fighting boots way better. Looks just fine with my sara and nice in rune for pking. Wat kind of "tough" pker fights wearing rainbow colored boots?

A lvl 10 dwarf. IT so happened that i reached around lvl 9 in smithing on that day, and i i wanted to try wat i cud make. I made 28 bronze bars, and 28 maces. I thot "wow! wat a holy weapon!". I tried it out on a dwarf...Close fight with 1 to 1hp. He hit first and i died. I remember how mad i was for the next few days that i lost my full iron lol.

Well, i for one wouldnt play hard if i wudnt have fun doing it. The only game i ever completed in all 3 difficulties was Gears of War, because of its good co-op and the fact u get points on ur gamertag (Brilliant move by microsoft by extending the lives of games). But on the most part, i wudnt play the hardest setting just because its not that much fun.

Halo 1 has to be on the winner's list. It started a cultural phenomenon for heavens sake. Its just that halo 2 overshadows it, and now everyone forgot about its original greatness (my opinion). Oh Goldeneye HAS to go on it.
