  1. Oui! I'm not going to get it listed in the mozilla DB at the moment (maybe not at all, there really aren't any benefits to it, only hindrances) because it's a Tip.It thing, and it's still being constantly updated. I don't want to have to go through their approval process every time I change something, and it's not really the type of addon that goes in their database. And if you haven't checked the thread in a few days, I've ironed out all of those bugs. It's working quite nicely at the moment. It's a stable version for a reason :
  2. The pictures aren't loading correctly or they were deleted from the webserver. It's typically not something on your end. If you can give and example we could tell you if it was, though :P
  3. If you're into web design/dev, go for Colorzilla, Firebug, Fireftp, IE Tab, MeasureIt, and TamperData. Stylish goes very well with greasemonkey (mentioned above) Faviconize Tab is a good one if you frequently have massive amounts of tabs open. Download Statusbar is a must, and tinymenu will let you compact your entire menu (file, edit, et cetera) into one button, giving you more screen to work with. Oh, and don't forget the tipit one [/plug] :P
  4. Yes, if you downloaded the beta, you will need to download this one as well. Going through the standard install process will overwrite the existing one.
  5. I'm note entirely sure, tbh. I'm going to message them asap and find out. If it's not okay, then it'll be put back, no harm done. (enjoy it well it lasts, lol) This has been fixed. Ctrl + F5 the Runescape page if it's not working for you.
  6. Woooohooooo....stable version! (And the problems with firefox 2 were fixed in this as well)
  7. I'm not in a position to answer that, you'd have to ask an admin. :| And yeah, I noticed that as well, and it's been fixed. :P
  8. Ohoho! Well then, to keep up with the competition, mine has been fixed as well. (I have to admit that, in the end, I adopted a similar method to yours, let java load really fast and then fire the addon, very clever :P ) Also! The latest version looks good in low detail as well, the windows now appear outside of the Runescape game window, instead of trying to fit in it. At the moment, all I'm waiting on is for this latest update to be uploaded to the server, and then for someone to review the download page I've made \ Screenshot of the stable version:
  9. GE Prices are in the works for the current items database, and when they're done for that they'll be in this one too. As for screenshot/screen capture, I know you can do it in java, I'm just not sure how (never done any java before :/) I'm going to read into it though, see if it's practical. Edit: Artcrazy, I'm not sure if that was directed at myself or not, but I'm aware of that. I've only recently read about it being done in java, but have no idea if it's at all possible or practical within an extension.
  10. Huh..try clicking the link again and when it says Open With, select firefox (you many need to click browse and go to your firefox executable, I have no idea where that is on a mac :| ) and then click okay. That's weird :/
  11. Nope, they'll all be fixed when it get's released on the main site. (pretty soon, hopefully) It's using an older version of the database on the testing server, so everything is a bit outdated.
  12. o.O, clever. For Mac Firefox, I'd imaging it'd be the same installation process? Save to disk, then File -> Open file in firefox and open the tipitmicrohelper.xpi file, if you can't get to the installation prompt by clicking on the link.
  13. Well, if the comments, number of downloads, and the rating are anything to go by, it should be fine. Can't say I've ever used one before, though.
  14. Not too sure what you're asking, since the answers already given make it seem like you're talking about something else :/ Anyway, that script for the images where they expand with the effects is called LIghtbox. It's not designed to work with inline content, but there are several alternatives that do. For further reading see: Modalbox, Thickbox, or The lightbox effect without lightbox.
  15. I don't think this addon is meant for low detail, though I'm sure with time there will be one for low detail.. As for people having problems with bugs, flickering, and installing your going to have to remember this is in early beta.(don't know why it says beta ended, theres still quite a few bugs to work out and errdoth hasn't released a version since the last beta one.) It does *work* in low detail, but yes, it is a bit cluttered. I'm going to be toying with ways of getting everything pretty in low detail in a bit. The main point of the beta was to see if I could generate interest, and see what needs to be improved. The flickering and installing seem pertinent to any application that messes with a java applet, ArtCrazy's user script does it too (the installing part, not sure about the flashing) :/ The reason I haven't released another version is that the new(est) one is ready and waiting to be released on the site (should be within the next few days) and since this version has an update system in place, and I'll be able to keep updating it while having it "tested" by a much larger audience than on these forums. (I think I mentioned this before, if not: Unless the addon is in the mozilla database or uses some weird bit of crypto, I can't use firefox's built in updater) There's still a lot of work to be done, yes, but think of it like a google-style perpetual beta: constant updates aimed at making it better than it already is. :P (Unrelated, but the newest (stable) version has a little input box for quick stat lookup :P) Put simply: It's not done, but it's at a point where it works well enough to let everybody who doesn't use the forums have a go. Hey, they might even end up finding new bugs....yay! :wall: I've noticed, crafting does it as well. It's being looked into. :| I think I mentioned this before as well: The hack I used to get the data to appear over the applet doesn't work in opera, so neither does the addon :/
  16. This. They always seem really tacky to me, especially if they're in Spanish/for used cars :|
  17. Thursday is HEAVY UPDATE!! http://steamgames.com/tf2/heavy/index.php Two new maps, too! (Achievement names are awesome: Stalin the Kart, Lenin a Hand, Marxman.. ) I'm still trying to figure out what Konspicuous Konsumption: Eat 100 sandviches. Seems like it's be something to do with Natascha, cause the one below is Don't Touch Sandvich: Kill 50 scouts using Natascha. If anyone wants to farm these with some friends of mine, lemme know on steam chat and we'll see if we can find an empty server :P
  18. Solution to laura's problem is to Ctrl+F5 and refresh the page :) The beta doesn't, no, but the stable version has one in place (see my post at the top of the page). I couldn't use the updater that's built into firefox because it needs the addon to either be in the mozilla database or use some weird bit of crypto for the actual update. Ctrl+F5 to refresh it. I can has link? I suppose I could get rid of it, but I dunno, I'll think about it :P
  19. Try clicking My Documents on the side, then go to My Pictures from there? I have no idea, but it seems like "Recent" would be a cache type thing? Dunno. If not, try your recycle bin.
  20. Thanks :P Number one was something I was thinking about doing, and it'll be looked into. Number two, I'm not really sure how well I'll be able to size down the rest of the treasure trails guide, but I'll look into that, too. Number three, it should be doing anyway (if you're talking about calcs and planners). The cookie is being stored, so I dunno what's wrong. It works fine for me :/ The first has been fixed and is scheduled for the next stable version. The second will be added soon, too. I think it might be just you. To get back to the original screen you can click the little tipit logo next to the username box. The third sounds like a good idea :) Fourth is a bit tricky to do, tricky enough to the point of frivolity, IMO (I'm not a java person). I'm currently working on getting everything prepared for release on the main site, as the stable build has an update system, so it'll be easier to develop it. (yay!) [hide=Update Screen][/hide] So, unless I come across some serious problem that's going to delay release, thanks to everyone who participated in the beta, and thanks for all the comments, ideas, bugs, and compliments!
  21. Download the .xpi file, and open it in firefox. You should see a little screen pop up, just hit the install button and you're good. If you're having the same problem as laura0077, try hitting Ctrl+F5 on the runescape page to force refresh it. It worked for me :P
  22. Disable the addon, restart firefox, let runescape load, then enable the addon, and it should work fine :/ Bumping this for version 1.3! New interface, stat lookups, and treasure trails!
  23. UPDATE: As an excuse for not working on fixing bugs, I've whipped up a possible new design for the addon. I like the nav bar a lot, not too sure about the background for the content box (I couldn't get a blue gradient I liked), but I think it definitely beats the current one :P [hide=Large Pic][/hide] EDIT (I don't like posting so much :P) There isn't really a new one, it's just a mockup. How'd you finally get it working?
