  1. There doesn't appear to be a fancy word for "Fear of zombies" on that list :( Edit: Just found it, Kinetimortophobia
  2. First off, what graphics card do you have? (How to check: Windows Key + R, type dxdiag, and then click the display tab, and post a screenshot) [hide=Should look something like this][/hide] And I'm fairly confident you won't need a high end gaming card to play the new runescape, with or without AA. Post you're current card and we'll be able to help you out a bit more.
  3. I dunno...there are some pretty good lookin' 22 year olds down here.....
  4. My blood. Stronger than Jesus'. Jesus is mad. Who are we to know which way the lightning is going?
  5. On my phone, you just set it up like a normal picture message, but it has an option for email alongside phone number. What phone d'you have?
  6. Dude..you have a thousand dollars to blow. Don't go with a dell. This is a rather nice gaming build for under a grand. 7. Duke Nukem Half-life Not really internet, but it got me hooked on shooters which led to the internet. I played both when I was 5 or 6, I think :P I built my first PC in like the third grade, and remember wondering why anybody would pay 200 dollars for a graphics card when most motherboards already had them
  8. Gmod is very awesome, and I have some kick-[wagon] wiremod skills :P
  9. Ghosts: No. Zombies: Slim possibility of something like that occurring, loads of fun to speculate about. Aliens: Hell yes. Hopefully they'll be advanced to the point of post-scarcity, and as such willing to give us "stuff." (matter replicators, maps, a couple AI's to help get us all caught up) It would really suck if we were alone in the universe. Actually, it'd be [developmentally delayed]ed. What a waste of space..
  10. What's with all of the zed threads? I have nothing against it because I'm fascinated by them, but I have /zom/ for that..
  11. You are. How many wires have you seen made out of plastic?
  12. This is the link you want. http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee169/aquariusman/rugbycrop100x100.jpg
  13. Heh, a friend of mine and I cheated and got the majority of the pyro achievements the other day. Flare gun is made of win.
  14. Oceans have pretty damn strong currents on the bottem, the zombies would never reach the island I'm heading to. /zom/ has assured me of this :P
  15. OCremix isn't illegal file sharing though. Doesn't matter. There are plenty of legal torrent services, and torrenting is used a lot for legal filesharing, but all of the other threads involving it have been locked. I'm not judging you or anything, I'm a horrible P2P pirate as it is.
  16. It's a very lightweight (very, very, lieghtweight) linux distribution, that is designed for being run off a live cd or a flash drive. It's an entire operating system that you load up when you need to. It's ridiculously awesome. So, it will NOT get rid of Windows XP, and will NOT allow my parents to track me? It won't get rid of XP, no; it runs entirely off the CD. Some simple instructions: Use something like ImgBurn to burn the ISO file it gives you to a CD (preferably a rewritable one) Then shut down your computer, and turn it back on. Go into the BIOS (usually by pressing the delete key when it firsts turns on, it should say "PRESS -SOME KEY- TO ENTER SETUP" then scout around in there for boot option, boot priority, boot devices, whatever. Make sure your CD drive is set as first. Then restart, and boot into the CD environment. As for whether they'll be able to track you, probably not, but posting a HJT log will be able to clear that up.

  18. Torrent files are pretty much just links to trackers. The trackers give your computer a list of IP addresses of people seeding (uploading) and downloading the files the torrent is for. The torrent file doesn't contain any data other than information telling it where to find that data. You need to use a bittorrent service to download the file. Imageshack (you have to register an account to use it) offers a very nice torrent service, where it torrents on their server, and you can download the file directly, if you don't want to use a program. utorrent and Azureas Vuze are two very nice programs for downloading torrents, if you're looking to download more than imageshack allows. That being said, tipit frowns upon torrenting, and especially since you specified you were downloading a song, this is going to get locked. :(
  19. IE 7 (which you're probably using) : Tools -> Internet options -> Security -> Custom Level -> Find Scripting -> Under active scripting, tick Enable Firefox: Tools -> Options -> Content -> Tick "enable javascript"
  20. If they can see what you're doing, and then they're suddenly unable to, I'm fairly certain they'll suspect something. HijackThis might turn something up, but seriously, you can't just delete the program or they'll know. If you're that paranoid about it, Puppy linux on a live CD or usb stick is the way to go. And connorb, 192.168.1.1 is usually what brings up router management, but I don't of any programs that run through the routers :uhh:
  21. Well, would 30 miles through an (pretty damn cold when you get down there) ocean be enough?
  22. My first concern would be weapons (easy enough :P ) and then stocking up on some food, depending on how much time I have. I've got two possible locations I'd head to after that: 1) My family has a trailer in the middle of nowhere in Arizona, which is where a lot of the guns are kept. However, it's a good ways away, and in the middle of the desert, so I'd only be able to hold out for so long. 2) Catalina island is about 30 miles offshore from where I am, and I'm sure I could find an boat or plane to get there. The entire island has about 3500 people on it, with the majority of them in one town. Even if the virus managed to get to the island, it'd be easy enough to hide on the other side of it, or take the boat out a ways, and fish for food, only going on shore when needed. I hope the zombies can't swim... :uhh:
  23. Huh, I was actually just messing with the JS for the calc locally, and it seems to work if the "name" array is renamed to something other than "name." That's a rather strange fix, but it makes it work fine in the Window's version of Safari running through WINE.
  24. Food: [hide=Ramen][/hide] [hide=The lolcat that popped up when I searched for images of ramen][/hide] Drink: [hide=Arizona Iced Tea][/hide]
  25. [hide=Example][/hide] That's what you mean right? I think an easy fix is to make the User Control Panel 'UCP'. Or fix the 200 pixels at the side of the page and then go from there? Actually, it was just something weird with how I set up the tables, I've PMmed (yet another) fix to silverion (who I'd imagine is getting tired of this by now :P ) that moves the login/out button to to the right of User Control Panel and should fix the tables with in firefox 3
