I thought that this meant it would work for firefox 3 I have 3.0.1 - and, despite your little trick to get it to work, still doesnt work. What isn't working? Are you having the same problem as laura and warrior?
-
Okay, that's really weird :/ Does the greasemonkey version of it work? I really dunno what could be causing that :? (and he's Pilot, from Farscape :P)
-
Go ahead.
-
That's a bit...strange.. Try uninstalling the addon and then reinstalling it?
-
Bleh, even if you did get it to work in greasekit, I'm not sure the extension itself would work. I just tried manually injecting the javascript code into safari on windows, and the hack I used to get the box to appear over the applet doesn't work at all :( Opera's native handling of user scripts fails on this as well. So for the time being, it's only firefox :wall: Wut?
-
I wouldn't be. Even if it was something malicious, noscript stopped the code from being executed, so you're fine :P
-
Just a little bump here: I got calcs and planners up, as well as some instructions to (maybe) get it to work with Safari/Webkit, and I _should_ have fixed the problems with getting the link to automatically install, not sure though.

Yeah, I completely overlooked that the lightweight versions of these files are on the testing server, which is using an older database, so info might not be correct/updated (They don't trust me enough to let me play on the main server  ). I'll bug someone about transferring the files onto the regular server in a bit, once I finish calcs and planners :P

NOTE: This is a discussion thread only, all problems and issues go HERE Everyone who's downloaded this, please do so again from the link below. This is the stable-beta-esque version that will be on the site whenever the news announcement gets made. Self Extracting Greasemonkey Userscript Source Code List of major bugfixes/changes: Removes Jagex bar and adds link to KB search Quick input box for KB search and rs name lookup Works nicely on low detail Has an update button thingy Hunter and Crafting calcs are fixed Items/Bestiary now show current information Java will no longer not load (White screen of death :P) EDIT: Had to remove the message from Jagex, but it basically said it was within the rules :/ EDIT #2: Updated links EDIT #3: Updated again with calcs & planners + safari stuff EDIT #4: Updated for new interface, stats and treasure trails EDIT $5: Linked to stable version

It's also used for HTTP compression, and can greatly decrease page loading times. Only reason I can see for it being turned off is that is was replaced with something better. If not, then it should probably be turned back on :/ EDIT: Blah, said increase instead of decrease :/

Uh...wrong Georgia, dude.

how exactly does the guy set off the alarm? With one of those little tag thingies they attach to clothes or whatever. It explains it in the beginning of the vid :P

Gparted Live is foss, and will do everything you need. Just burn the iso, boot into it. It scans your disks or whatever, and then you can right click on your primary partition, select Resize/Move, and, depending on how much free space you have, shrink you windows partition by moving the little slider. As for size, 5gb would be the minimum, and is going to be pushing it after you install all your programs and whatnot. You said your HD was 120gb, I have no idea how full it is, but 20gb would probably be fine, and you can store media/music/docs on your windows part, and still be able to access them via the file manager in linux.

YOU DO NOW (I expect some smilies in return :P )

Beat me to it :/ Crying babies, yipping dogs, and things where you have to try to fit a wrench in some really awkward place to hold a bolt while securing a screw :wall:

Of course it's about popularity, it's _always_ going to be about popularity. But if you're making "good" posts, there's no reason why you wouldn't be popular. (popular in that you're someone whose post's people enjoy reading) I can't say I agree with you on the other points: Friends might be more apt to give other friends better ratings, but I don't think that, once past the initial hype, ratings will be important enough (remember: they do *nothing*) for people to go around and hunt down their friend's posts to rate them :/ If people you don't like are making the best posts in the forum, then you probably don't have the best reason not to like them; one or two people refraining from rating a post (there doesn't _have_ to be a disagree option) isn't going to hurt anyone, and if the whole forum is refraining from rating them, they're probably not making the best posts the forum has ever seen, or they've gone done something that completely frelled their reputation with the community. Again, I don't think not getting as many ratings as the next guy is going to make people go emo. In example: The forum I capped those pics from is filled with [developmentally delayed]s. The rating system works fine. Sure, the admins and the people with craploads of posts have more ratings than the average user, but that's because they've earned them. Tbh, if those forums can handle it (where if you're reading a topic and there's not at least one mention of a meme, you're probably reading the archives) Tipit most definitely can.

Wireless Networking problems - Netopia Router.
Errdoth replied to Sentry_Wolf's topic in Tech and Computers
Do you have any type of encryption set up on the router, and are your devices capable of/configured to use it? Is your router configured to block MAC addresses? If you don't know how to check, this seems to be the manual (See pages 54-> Privacy and 63-> MAC Authorization) -
Bleh, didn't we just have one of these? Anyway, in no real order: Stephen Colbert Jon Steward + Correspondents (Oliver is hilarious :D) Ed Byrne!! [ Heavy Language Warning :/ ]

British and Welsh are just awesome :P I also like Russian and French in that with Russian, you could be saying the nicest thing in the world and it still comes out sounding brusque :D, and the opposite with French: you could be cursing your brains out and it'd sound like you're trying to seduce someone
-
Heh, mine does that too (Supposed to only have like 640mb or something?) I reinstalled the drivers and the memory went up by about 3mb  It doesn't seem to be an issue, just a weird fluke :/

Obligatory "Wait..what? :? "

I've actually taken to using "frell" and "dren" in place of "f***" and "s***". I suppose that's one good effect of watching massive amounts of sci-fi  Cookies to anyone who can tell me what show those are from :geek:

But here's the thing: The ratings do _nothing_ There's no real motivation for people to go around doing that, and if they do, it's not like it makes a difference..
-
Going on with "rating" systems, I've always been in favor to a system like this: Little buttons in post to give various ratings. (Ratings in that image are: Thanks, Informative, Agree, Funny, Helpful) All of the ratings given for a particular post are shown underneath that post All ratings given to a particular user are shown in their profile. There aren't any negative ratings, so people won't go emo because of it, and the ratings do absolutely nothing other than sit at the bottom of your post and make you look cool :P
