  1. Ugh, just make sure it's scalable. And please don't over-do it. :P
  2. In firefox: Tools -> Addons -> Click uninstall Is it not working or do you just not like it? :(
  3. Everyone's got mine so far  Only ones missing are Schlock Mercenary (Awesome webcomic), Sinfest (another awesome webcomic), Cracked (Humor site :P), and Pardus (MMOG)
  4. Addons are little community-created packages that give added functionality to the browser, such as add blocking, music players, debugging info, download management, chat programs, and runescape helpers (teehee) Firefox is much faster than IE, much more standards compliant (It renders webpages the way they're supposed to be rendered), it's a helluva lot more secure than IE, and it has spellcheck. :P Seriously, if you've never tried it out, I'd recommend it. Like all new things it'd take some getting used to, but once you do, it's awesome.

This is why experiments of this nature should be carried out in places like Eureka. :P The public can't [bleep] about things they don't understand if they don't know they're happening : Srsly, the LHC isn't going to destroy the universe, the black holes are going to dissipate as soon as they're created. And even if it did pose a threat, taking risks is a necessary part of science. Edit: I love how the article says "They fear the LHC experimenters are tinkering with the unknown." ...no [cabbage], it wouldn't be science if it were otherwise.

  7. Just an educated guess here, haven't tried it: Type about:config into your address bar, then in the filter box type browser.search For browser.search.defaultenginename type Winzy and for browser.search.defaulturl type http://search.winzy.com/search?q= There could be some other values you have to change, I'm not entirely sure.
  8. Yast has quite a lot of software available, and plenty of repositories as well...hell, you can even install apt on suse if you want to. (and installing from source is typically about three lines in terminal, not that annoying :P)
  9. No, it's a completely legal tool. I have contacted Jagex about both the addon itself and it's removal of their navigation bar, and they said it was fine. I can't post the actual messages because of their rules and tipit's rules, tho.
  10. All the cool cats use konversation.
  11. Not if the system can learn on it's own :P
  12. sjappie112, I'm not entirely sure how it's still working if you've disabled it. Are you sure? meatloaf3737, choose to open it with firefox. (Usually at C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox[Caution: Executable File])
  13. It's of the class inner If you want to screw with the edges, the entire posting box has quite a few classes, post bg1, post bg2, post bg1 online, post bg2 online, post bg1 unreadpost, and post bg2 unreadpost are all of them, I think. Firebug, your new best friend
  14. I'm wondering why you're using bash instead of a GUI...Printscreen button doesn't seem to work on my laptop, and with my window manager you have to use a terminal for pretty much everything, which gives me bragging rights :POf course, you have to use some weird, non-standard window manager... It looks cool as hell tho :P [hide=Pic][/hide]
  15. CUE ALTON BROWN QUOTES! (from here)
  16. I'm probably going to start on Iain Banks The Wasp Factory tonight. It's been on my desk for weeks now, and he's one of my favorite authors. :
  17. That's what it's supposed to be doing. Wait for the little timer to count down and press the install button. :)
  18. Open it to install it? If you've downloaded it to your computer, you can go to File, then Open File, select the file (at wherever it is you downloaded it to) and click open. It should bring up the installation prompt, and you can click the install button. Glad you got it working :

  21. No, it's the partition tool that's bundled with gnome systems on it's own disc. It's a linux livecd that has _nothing_ on it but a partition program.
  22. It uses cookies to save your completed quests. So if you're deleting those (which isn't the best idea anyway) it won't save :|
