Found this on twitter: Nexus & RSBuddy vs. Jagex Should be very informational for those who have perhaps not followed a lot of the technical details of the update, and also some of the side-effects of the update.

*Fingers crossed that bots are kept out of the game* I think it would be better if they perm-ban players who try to use their old bots. But even if bot-makers can get their bots to work, hopefully Jagex will be able to detect those using it and perm-ban them!

They seem to be really hyping this up...no doubt it will have a big impact on the stuff going on at RuneFest too. :shades:

Simply put, if you haven't changed your password in the last 3 years, you should be slightly more concerned for your account security if you do not change your password. This is because the forum was using phpbb2 up to some point in 2009, and then we switched to IPB, which uses different security measurements. If the attackers had access to server files, then they could have had access to databases, but extracting passwords from these databases is an entirely different thing, and depends on the forum software used when backups were made. Regardless, changing and improving your password will help settle your mind if you're having any doubts.

We used to have a microhelper addon, although it is now severely outdated. We would love to do more, but we are only a small group of individuals and we don't have the time to do everything. Expanding and improving the site in any way possible is always on our mind, and of course we have thought about, and are working on, many things for the future. Of course, thank you for the suggestions about a Tip.It toolbar :) Maybe one day in the future we'll have something like that.

Here is the last year from June 20th 2010 to June 20th 2011, the effect of free trade+wilderness/bots is visible: Here is the year 2010 (so the effect of Wilderness is removed), it clearly shows the obvious trend of RuneScape players increasing during school holidays: Data goes back to 2007, raw data is not accessible (no-one really cares to do any statistical tests). It's not my website that generates the graphs, so I don't want to post it as I'm sure if a lot of users generate graphs it won't be too good for the server it's hosted on. But it's not hard to figure out what the website URL is. Hopefully this clears up any questions and/or doubts about player numbers and the trends over the last couple of years.

Hmm..a bit unexpected. I wonder what/where exactly this slot is; it seems a bit like TF2 to me. Maybe there will be a leaked pic on the knowledge base.

Does anyone know what that means? I think they are just making fun of the murky green-blue colour of the fog around new Draynor. I don't think its anything RuneScape related.
