um, where have you been? you cant really "give" someone money for a 99 skill. unless its hunter and you give them 20k worth of hunting equipment. scamming? how? unless someone is coerced into putting items into the party chest. gf.

average combat levels have definantly gone up a bit since summoning was released, especially when people got the first few summon levels, like 1-40. those were quick, easy levels that boosted their combat. but after that, not many people are seriously training. at 52 summon, about 120k xp, i was ranked 50,000. thats a higher rank than my 71 smithing. from what im seeing, people get a few quick combat levels, then dont pay much attention to it. but having the option of easy training has been around at least since pest control was released. and thats still a very popular minigame. i used to be in the anti-summon camp, i wanted 99 range at 96, and since i foolishly got 25 summon on the day of release, i got my goal at 99 combat instead. i kicked myself so much for those few levels i got in excitement during the first day, i hated it. i wasnt one of the "smart" people who stayed at 1 summon, and i wasnt actively training it either. i figured since i had 25, and i was already "messed up" i'd get 52 for the terrorbird, since it would be useful in gwd. got it, liked it, now ive spent the past week ranging my butt off at fiends (where i am as i type this) going for 68. right now, theres a group of people very supportive of summoning. theyre also the people that usually have lots of money/experience who used it to their advantage early on. theres another group that thinks its a pointless, wasteful, skill, not an actual combat skill, and want to keep their "real" combat level. and theres people in the spectrum between those two. basically, i thought by now people would be more supportive of it. i think summoning has been tainted since its the first new skill since all the trade and other updates. its the messenger, in a way, and people dont like it. maybe some think that since jagex changed so much of the environment into something they dislike, that they dont want to enjoy the a skill they gave the players. or maybe im just reading too much into this. ~Gilf

this is a very odd idea, i know, its just a thought. in the grand exchange, you dont see individual offers, and you have no idea who you are selling to or buying from. what if people attempting to sell rares in the grand exchange arent actually selling to other people, what if the exchange 'buys' it, so the player gets the money, but the rare is taken out of the system? im not saying its happening now, i really doubt it, but it could be implemented in the future. this could be a way to try to take rares out of the game quietly. thoughts?

im looking forward to trying out the tournaments, but seriously, a max of 3k winnings in 15 minutes for one-on-one duels? how pitiful is that?

eh, i hardly watch tv anymore...so i could live without that... but not my comp, no way. thats a must-have...
