  1. Any show I end up on would probably end in a homicide case.
  2. Factories are largely a product of the Industrial Revolution. And it's not as if many people in the world aren't stuck working in factories making clothes and doing other menial labor tasks. This is a pretty complex and fertile topic which I won't get much into, but I would like people in this thread to think of the results of the Industrial Revolution not just from their own perspective but also from that of the majority of the people in the world who have a life drastically different from that of the average American/European/Australian/etc... You'd have a good point if I was talking about mechanised factories. Which I wasn't.
  3. Don't worry. Bud light isn't alcohol.
  4. If the industrial revolution hadn't happened, you'd be in a factory somewhere making clothes or carving wood instead of sitting there wondering about it.
  5. Real men work out to the rhythm of DragonForce.
  6. I would kill to have a CRPG that actually had freedom and immersion in buckets. Like a tabletop RPG. Without the poor hygiene and off-topic talk that comes with it.
  7. you dont need one, just like people who play golf dont need to play golf to survive, and people who build model trains dont need to build model trains either. i also doubt most model trains ever get stacked with coal or other items and transport them from one point to another for any real purpose either. Flawed comparisons... Also, you're ignoring the fact that these buggers go through petrol like Jack the Ripper goes through prostitutes. That said, I'm not one to talk about fuel economy, because my car packs a V6.
  8. I've never understood why anyone would need a 4WD, SUV or glorified ute for day to day driving. Hell, most of the ones you see haven't got a speck of dust or mud on them. I doubt that many of them are actually used for their intended purpose.
  9. Speaking of which, what's the most efficient leveling spec for a rogue? I'm thinking of playing around with an alt once I hit 70 on my shaman (haven't bought Wrath yet, probably won't for a while).
  10. Doesn't exist. This thread is now under surveillance by His Holy Inquisition. The Emperor Protects.
  11. I would disagree with this. The last time I had to provide a urine sample, the doctor advised that I fill two containers, one with the first half of the process, and the other with the second. It feels strange because it isn't something you normally do, but it is possible to at least pause your discharge.
  12. Legalise prostitution? No. Legalise brothels? Yes. It's easier to regulate and tax one of those than the other. Guess which one it is.

Did you enjoy your cheese-fest? ._. I still do.
  14. I saw it with a couple of friends on Thursday. It doesn't really feel like a Bond movie any more. The way it's being done now, 007 isn't so much James Bond as he is BROTHER CAPTAIN BOND OF THE MI CHAPTER, 6TH COMPANY, SLAYER OF ALIENS AND DAEMONS. NOW PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES, HERETIC. ... Or James Norris, come to think of it.
  15. You're in New Zealand? Yipe. Thought you were from Europe or North America. :-w [/offtopic] Lochac is, IIRC, Australia and New Zealand. I'm from Oz.

I came when I first heard Captain Morgan's Revenge.
  17. Maybe America wouldn't be such a hole if you guys weren't so allergic to taxes.
  18. I'm officially affiliated with the College of St Ursula and Her One Hundred (or is it Thousand?) Virgins and Martyrs, as part of the Barony of Rowany, in the Kingdom of Lochac. For those who haven't picked up on it yet, I really like fighting with swords.
  19. I used my 63 shaman to run some guildies through SM Cathedral earlier. It was ludicrously fast, probably because one of the class features is that it is impossible to have downtime when specced in Enhancement.
  20. Free health care being yearly check-ups and such or strictly Emergency Room visits? I shouldn't have said free. What I meant was subsidised health care. Something like Medicare as we have it here in Australia. Universal health care both in and out of hospitals, and it's reasonable to expect that consultations be free of charge as a result. No ridiculously overpriced compulsory health insurance. Although it does have its flaws and inefficiencies, it's a damn sight better than what you have in the States.
  21. It's not up to the government to determine how many shifts you get. Talk to your employer. With the amount you earn, you should be eligible for Youth Allowance, Austudy or some other type of government handout. Plus you get free healthcare and government supported tertiary education, which is a lot more than what you'd get in the US. By the time I was 18, I was earning roughly $200-250/week on two shifts of call centre work, which, believe me, is not difficult in the slightest.
  22. I sure hope the OP is pro-education as well. Because if the system's doing its job properly, he'd know that plurals aren't marked by apostrophes. Also, you crazy Americans. It costs you more money to run your current healthcare bureaucracy than it would to just give free healthcare to everyone in the country.
  23. Potential name changes: Rockfist Murderbeard Stoneheart Alehammer Ramrod McCannon Butch Steel Bjorn Thundersword Leopold Panzerkampf
  24. Run through Sabaton's Art of War album. If the audience isn't motivated to destroy and conquer by the time Union finishes, you're not doing your job properly.
