Warrior adds to slash only so it's only really practical when you use slash attacks. However most weapons are slash so it's worth it!

Definitely. I can afford both just need the charms for 90. I just wondered if it was worth speeding up my summoning so I could use the unicorn if all I'm going to do is slay until I hit 99 defence. It seems it isn't so it can wait.

They are? Where in Edgeville? In the dungeon past the blue drags (forget the name atm....neeeeed....more.....coffeeeee). You can set up the cannon and duck away so they cannot attack you. So even though it is not multi the cannon can still attack multiple targets. I imagine may be a bit crowded since the update. i always call it taverly dungeon,but it isn't more crowded (yet) ;) Yes Taverley and it wasn't crowded shortly after the update. Plus it isn't multi so cannons fail, even if you duck. Once someone hits a demon it's theres, and cannon doesn't hit.

I think you're all right. Unicorn is overkill for what I want. Very few tasks I need an extra heal, otherwise I suffice with Bunyip/Guthans. 85 prayer it is!

I'm very near my short term goal of 95 defence. As such I am rewarding myself with either summoning or prayer XP. It is prayers turn for a boost (80 currently), but I am within sniffing distance of 88 summoning (86). I believe I will have enough charms for 88 but certainly not for 90 (which is what I really want). So my question is what are the uses of a unicorn for a day to day slayer?. I seem to be doing fine without and if it isn't that much of a help then I will get prayer to 85. I know unicorns rock at GWD, but I won't be doing this until maxed melee, by which point I will have charms for 90 via slayer. Thanks

No chance. The vast majority of Runescape players are combat focused. Those that do dabble in skilling level for quests and then go back to Soul Wars/Pest Control/Armoured Zombies. Farming isn't a well liked skill and this won't make people flock to it. A lot of people just do herbs and this update doesn't really effect them much as it was possible to farm all 5 patches with a Terrorbird and just 1 bank. As it was you could still bank allotments very easily with a Terrorbird and some baskets. This is just a nice bonus for those who do farm.

My friend with 99 farming is not amused :lol: I love it personally. I did some Torstols with a Stranger Plant and missed the Terrorbird's space. Now it isn't required. Also screw buying baskets for my strawberries, I can note them all as I go. Brilliant update.

If you read the original post I explain that I will soon have maxed melee stats (99 def) so I'm not bothered about only str exp. Sara Sword is better, but only very very marginally. Spear works well and is cheaper.

I've used both and prefer the SS. However I use spear as I only need def XP and a little is better than none.

I like the new random system. Only had one, the dragon teacher, and the rewards offered were OK. Obviously I chose the tome of knowledge but there were some pretty decent rewards on there to choose from. As for them teleporting you away from the area I think the pros of this far outweights cons. It's only really when fighting it is an issue, and even then this gradually gets less and less as you progress through the levels. I prefer monsters to be aggro these days as it makes it easier to semi-afk them so these randoms offer me a better way to make them so.

Cos you get melee, HP and slayer XP all at once. I've slayed from a very low combat and will max out melee before I hit 99 slayer. If I hadn't have slayed, I would have to "re-do" all my melee combat to get 99 slayer making in inefficient. Whereas I will get 99 def at about 96-97 slayer so won't have much "extra" fighting to do to hit 99 slayer. I can then conentrate my fighting on GWD and bosses for cash.

Sounds to me as though you can, but the value is going to be linked to gold so theres no point. :lol:

Few things from the bug fixes which will impact. 1. Haha junk traders. 2. I used Taverely as there were more spawns but lost out on charms. Big :thumbup: for this. 3. Thank god. I sometimes clicked 4 times and never hit! 4. So much time saved. I may use the crystals more nowadays.

Dragon Scimmy or the Obby/Berserker are your main 2 choices. If you are not slaying (which you should be doing if you are not!) then you can Dharok Ape Atoll monkeys. The Sara Sword is well worth it though.

I usually carry Guthans with me. Main reason is a Bunyip is fixed, it will always give the same healing over the same time frame. Sometimes a task takes longer than a Bunyip's lifespan but it isn't worth using 2 Bunyips (Dust Devils). Other times the loot you get means it's more effective to take a Bunyip and then a Terrorbird for loot* (Abyssal Demons). Sometimes it is best to use a fighting familiar (Kalphites/Dagganoths). On a side note to this 3 base Titans are great as they fight and heal. Bit expensive but with these you won't need much healing. Don't forget bones to peaches. This is often overlooked and is often the best way to heal. At dust devils for example you can bust out a high level fighting familiar and then heal with the bones. Great way of getting a little mage/range XP on task without actually maging/ranging. *By loot I mean non-alchable loot, such as herbs and gems which you don't really want to leave behind.

The sword is the same. It's the hilts that differ. I believe the blade was made the Icyene, a (supposedly) long dead race loyal to Saradomin. The Sara boss is one and they were meant to be the original owners of Castle Draken. Maybe the blade was so powerful each faction deicded to make its own unique hilt.

Salamander's attack in all 3 styles. Melee, Mage and Range. How each type is effected by bonus I do not know.

You need What Lies Below to be assigned Chaos Tunnels monsters. Not for black demons, those are also located in brimhaven dungeon and taverly dungeon, and most likely one more place that i cant think of thats in the CT. Also the majority of monsters in the chaot tunnels area also located some where else. For example i haven't done either The Barbarian training or What Lies Below. this may be why i don't get assigned waterfiends. And i think the same goes for earth warriors, but idk never gotten assigned those. You are mis-understanding what I meant. Any monsters found in a non-quest area can be assigned at anytime. Such as Earth Warriors and Black Demons as both can be found in the Edgeville Dungeon. Any monster which requires a quest to unlock but is also found in the Chaos Tunnels, (Dust Devils for example) are unlocked after What Lies Below regardless of if you have finished the original quest to unlock. I don't get it. I can enter the Chaos Tunnels, I can kill Dust Devils either there or in the desert, my Slayer level is 80, my Combat is 111, and I still don't get Dust Devils assigned because I haven't finished a quest which I don't need to kill them? Strange. I think you need Desert Treasure, What Lies Below or Smoking Kills. Not 100% sure on DT, I think that unlocks the smokey well. (You can access it after Smoking Kills too) I've done both DT and Smoking Kills. Meh, I'll try and complete What Lies Below and see if I get them assigned after that, and if not, Duradel just hates me :thumbdown: I'd say I get Dust Devils 1/25 tasks.
