  1. Sorry I missed an emote in my post. Yes that reward is obviously fake.
  2. Runescpae Wiki has the reward as: 12,000,000 gp 20,000 Strength exp 10,000 exp lamp Goblin Basher hammer http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/The_Chosen_Commander
  3. You also need a mature greenman's ale for +2 not just a regular one.

Make it easy if you like a pro melee the whole task.
  5. I believe you can use a friends.

Zammy spear and SS are equal in terms of speed. Zammy spear just beats the SS in terms of stats but the SS has a useful spec. I use a spear as I don't need anymore strength XP and the spear is cheaper but SS is better imoh. Oh and don't use a GS to train ever, it gets beaten every time by a whip/def. GS are more for boss hunting and PVP
  7. Goraks don't suck... Common misconception. I tried them once thinking they'd be rubbish. Take the fairy ring code (DIR) take your trusty guthans that everybody calls me a noob for yet still has never failed me *ahem*, super pot up and you can practically afk. Pro's: You get millions of gems, (almost one a kill) remarkably quick and easy for their level, fairy ring from zanaris is incredibly close to bank so you can bank all those gems =] Hardly anyone is ever there. Con's: Not amazing drops other than some gems.Non-focused training through guthans. Goraks are good yeah, massive XP you get there. Trouble is they hit through prayer and drain your melee stats. Guthans hits too slow, I just bring a whip/def, super pot and some cheap food. Sometimes have to bank, but only cos I get full of gems. Not worth a skip though.
  8. Blocking tasks is worth it. The only one that really is a must is steel dragons. You get 50 at a time, there's only 3-4 spawns per world and you get hassle from the irons. I also blocked irons as they are so slow XP. My other 2 bans are Skelly Wyverns and Warped Terrorbirds as they are too much hassle for me. Slayer ring crafting is nice. Fastest tele to a slayer ring (Relleka Cave), fastest tele to the popular slayer tower and a fast tele to the desert. Oh and the desert place has a room packed with abby spectres. Fletching isn't essential. You can profit from this but it is minor, better off sticking to bows. I would buy it just for the sake of completion. If Jagex make a quest which requires this, your a step behind the pack. After that slayer dart runes all the time. The points soon rack up and you get lots of expensive death runes. I'd say it nets me about 2mil extra income a month. Never buy the XP. It's only really worth one task.
  9. Once I max melee I am going to get 99 summoning. I may as well do this via Rock Lobsters to start off with as the mage XP won't go amiss. I understand the principles of bursting/barraging rock lobsters but need some figures. Reason being people bandy figures about all the time, sometimes they are XP per 1k cast's sometimes per trip. So if anyone knows the following could they please post: Using the 9 lobster spot: Mage XP per 1k bursts Mage XP per 1k barrage Crimsons per 1k bursts Crimsons per 1k barrage How many 1k bursts can you make in a trip? (assuming maxed melee stats, 91 mage and 88 summoning) All the other maths I can work out with the above figures. On a side note is it best to burst to barrage? Money is an object, but I am hoping with maxed melee stats I can get on a decent GWD clan. Thanks in advance.
  10. Why would you want to kill them?
  11. Yeah they are so alike.
  12. Mithril Seeds. You get some as a reward from a quest, and can buy them afterwards, I think it was Legends or Heroes.
  13. Are you using Abyss? If so you're setup is all wrong. Scrap the Terrorbird and buy an Abyssal Familar from the GE. These gain you an extra 7 runes per run. You are also not using the small pouch. So that's 9 extra runes you are missing out on. Instead of the terrorbird's scrolls use that space for a super energy pot. Make sure you wear weight reducing gear. Boots of Lightness are free, the Penance gloves don't take long at Barbarian Assault and the spotty/spottier cape require pretty low Hunter levels. A mithril pickaxe is the lightest, but if you have an Inferno Adze use that. However all of the above is pointless if you have the summoning level for a Graak as these offer the fastest runescrafting XP outside of the ZMI/GOP.
  14. Jagex have said they don't mind you flicking between Runescape and the forums so it's fine. The only issue is if you are using a third party software to keep yourself connected by clicking for you.
  15. The fighter torso is rubbish. Seriously you have wasted your time getting it. Bandos is out of your price range (and too expensive for it's stats anyway) but you have Guthans which is the pinnacle of armour. For a start it's stats are not too different from the best defensive armour there is (Torags/Dharoks combi). Secondly, if you are slaying then it is more efficient to swap in only the helm/spear rather than 3 or 4 Guthans pieces to heal. You then have the added bonus of 2 extra inventory spaces. Even 2 uncut emeralds pay for the minimal usage of the helm/spear. Things you should have: Black Mask/Slayer Helm - 350k Fury - 3.1mil Dragon Boots - 250k Whip - 1.5mil Rune Defender - Free Barrows Gloves - Can't remember price, 200k I think but you need a lot of quests. Warrior Ring - 300k (for training with whip/other slash weapons) Ring of Wealth - 40k (for all other tasks) Obby Cape - Dunno price, will be cheap. Things which would be nice, but not essential: Berserker Ring - 3mil. Adds to strength but only minimally, so minimally infact it doesn't always have an effect. Fire Cape - Freeish - Best cape in the game. 99 Cape/Trimmed Cape Freeish - Pretty much the same (trimmed has +2 prayer) but 2nd best capes in game. Cannon - 600k +balls - Expensive but fast slayer XP on a few tasks.
  16. Be wary of the profit people say you make as it gets confusing with farming. You make about 1M per hour yes, but that hour is made up of 6 mins here and there. In real time it is a lot longer. In reality it is roughly 90-100k per run, which is every 1hr and 15 mins. A nice supplement to doing things like fletching or cooking.
  17. Agreed. Quest really is a piece of cake and theres no real reason not to finish it.
  18. I don't know why it's scared. No ent's anymore.
  19. It's a fair bit of tracking required, so I would say yes the hunter pot will work but you will need a fair few doses.
  20. You need Dream Mentor and it's the guy in the Eastern most bank booth.
  21. They are good cheap XP so I would do them. Only issue is the worlds are crowded at peak times for some unknown reason. I have a few methods to overcome this: 1. Leave task until a non-peak time. 2. World hop until you find an empty one. 3. Wear cheap prayer gear and pray melee the whole task on a PVP World. 4. Do the task in the Wilderness. I personally prefer 2 and 4. Leaving until a non-peak time is silly if you want slayer/melee XP there and then. However I do this sometimes if I have other stuff irl I could be doing. World hopping is OK in quieter times but you can hop to an empty world, and it becomes full in 5 minutes during peak times. This equates to a lot of wasted time. PVP Worlds are usually empty but certain PKrs do hunt around the dungeon as a.) They know a lot of people use this spot and they usually carry a vast amount of wealth and b.) They mage from the water obliesk to Catherby. Chances are you will be carrying expensive stat boosting gear (fury, dragon boots etc.) so if you do do this you need to downsize to minimize risk. I prefer praying as Prostelyte and a few prayer pots a far cheaper than full Guthans (which most people will need even with a Bunyip). They are spaced out in the Wilderness just to the South of the Axe hut. The only danger is from Rev's but if you die you will have a gravestone. Doubt it will come to death though, running and swapping worlds works usually, stick on pro range when you see them and switch in a Fornictyry(sp) Bracelet to avoid the teleblock. As you probably have Guthans with you can heal easily once you've shaken them off. I would add to be aware of what items don't stay with a gravestone, drop these if you know you are going to die as this keeps them (as long as you can get back in time) If a rev kills you it vanishes by the time you get back.
  22. No they don't. :-# Dusties fail for crimsons.
  23. More red chin spots can't be bad.

Definitely. I can afford both just need the charms for 90. I just wondered if it was worth speeding up my summoning so I could use the unicorn if all I'm going to do is slay until I hit 99 defence. It seems it isn't so it can wait. Allright, that's very reasonable. Even at kbd, it's better to bring food and a lava titan / bob (if you're on ancients) than a unicorn. (I have to drop black hides when I bring unicorn, which is a big waste). Have fun on 99 def. After that, all your melee xp will be "wasted" :-) I know! I will hit 95 slayer before 95 defence (just) So am forecasting 99 defence will be at about 97 slayer. Then I will break from slayer to max combat (GWD for cash, Rock Lobster for charms) and once I hit the big 138 will get 99 slayer.
