  1. minus over 9000!!!!!! +9000 * pi squared to infinity!
  2. Karil's skirt/body is great for slayer. It's basically cheap mage defense making loads of tasks easier, including Waterfiends, Bloodveld, Infernal Mages, Abby Spectres, Scrabites and Mithril Dragons. The coif and set effect is junk yes, and the bow is only semi-usful with the introduction of crossbows. Like someone said the only decent part of the set effect was to trap noobs in the Wildy agilty course for an easy kill. However nowadays most Wildy agility trainers use a non-PvP world and all they ever carried back in the day was an inven full of cakes.
  3. ...and you're precisely the kind of person this rant is about. You must be so proud. I really am. Because i'm getting faster exp than just hopping around for a world. I suppose for some people, gaining experience points in a game is more important than being a nice person. Hell yes. I do tend to agree with you but theres always common courtesy. For example, I will always world hop 5 times to try and find an empty world. If there are none, and its peak times then I go back to the least crowded world and set up my cannon. At the end of the day I pay to play the game, not to world hop until I find a free spot. If I can afford a cannon, then I will use it and if it affects other users then too bad. It's a game. Most cannon users won't stay in a spot if another cannon is there, so if you don't like people stealing your spot. Get a cannon yourself.

Yeah just keep your distance. They use a long range fire attack if you are not in melee range which is fully negated by anti-drag sheild and anti-fire pot. You can't use a bow, so must use a crossbow.
  5. Yeah I struggle to win with arcane/ basic fire spells.
  6. There is a sticky in this very sub-forum. Post there as this will get locked.

They are not hunted much. I do a few for slayer as the tasks are only a max of 7-8. Honestly not worth it if you hunting for a profit.
  8. Yes you can in the Smoking Kills dungeon but most people don't. Main reason is they mage you. This means your forever running round picking up drops and loading the cannon. Plus the Smoke effect is annoying. I only go there if the Slayer Tower is packed on a couple of worlds as the SK dungeon is usually empty.
  9. My theory was this: Using the full book of cogs, with the familiar, on a 10 second per turn game would give me the edge in most games. Obviously using heal sphere and death drain to heal, with arcane gate and a random spell (poss Den of Darkness or shock bomb). However I got owned, seriously owned. So is it just me or is the book of cogs pretty usless.
  10. Karambwuan is a fish :D I think Kent means the Overload who also has a long name beginning with K

Not true. Slayer is the BEST way to trian melee stats, mainly cos you're getting slayer XP and a semi decent wage. The fastest will be something like Dharoks and Gorillias/Zombie Monkeys/DT Skellys.

Sorry, this isn't about that. My thread so if I want to talk about GNR I will talk about GNR
  13. Dragon 2H surely?
  14. Depends on what you are runecrafting. If you are making natures then using a Graahk is best. Use all 4 pouches and 1 slot for a super energy pot. Anything else you are better off with Abyssal Familiars (the middle one has the longest time I believe) and super energy pots. Sure you lose 1 slot, but you've gained 6.
  15. 4 reasons you may want a 99. 1. Kudos 2. The cape 3. Profit 4. Fun 1. Kudos depends on the cape. All the cheap and easy capes don't give much kudos so if you care about what other people think of you don't waste time on them. 2. If you can't do Fight Caves then the next best cape is a trimmed skill cape. In my opinion there is nothing wrong in getting 2 easy 99's for a trimmed cape. Sure you won't get much kudos, but the stats are the same as the ones which do give that. 3. If you can raise cash training a skill, and can stick it out to 99 then you get a cape! Plenty of people do this, two most common being woodcutting and fishing. 4. Runescape is a game, you play it to have fun. If you enjoy a skill and enjoy it enough to get it to 99, then the cape is a nice reward. So to answer your questions: The 3 easy capes are cooking, fletching and firemaking. Cooking is cheap, fast and semi afkable. Fletching can make you a profit, is fast and only slightly less afkable than cooking. Firemaking is cheap, medium speed but requires constant attention. I get bored easily so I went for dropping firemaking and go for fletching, followed by cooking. I used the MTK minigame to get maples and profit, although switched to yews when I could. Carry on the MTK as the logs will be there for firemaking should you choose it, and the nests, seeds will get you cash. Once you have 99 fletch you should have the funds for 99 cooking. I don't advise making a harder 99 your first 99, as as soon as you get a second 99 it becomes trimmed anyway.

How about: Withdraw all of a random item from your bank noted. Deposit all of your noted stuff from the GE. Only downside is you only have 27 inventory slots but meh. Another alternative would be to make some armour into a set temporarily. Thats about 4 bank slots. Or stick all of one item into the GE at max price which you know will never sell (maples, runes etc.), another good temporary measure.
  17. I think only members can get a new one after the event from birds. F2P would have had to have done the event and retrieve from Diango.
  18. it wouldnt drop less than a chain, jagex links items of the same armor type's price caps together so that doesnt happen. plus more people would sell their chains when the price of plate gets close enough to upgrade and the flooding of chains would make chains go down even more. :] if any of that makes sense. it did inside my head >.> Not true. They link together stuff like potions. So if 1 dose is 100gp then 4 will be 400gp. These change together. However armour are all separate entities. The only thing which cannot happen is the price go lower than a set amount, which is defined by Jagex. It could happen that the chain is more expensive than the plate, but it is highly unlikely.

    Chinese Democracy is pretty good.
  20. I use: Slayer Helm Fury Trimmed Cape (Fire Cape is better if you have, I'm just too lazy to do Fight Caves) Guthans Body Guthans Skirt Dragon Boots Barrows Gloves Warrior Ring Whip / Rune Defender or Sara Sword Guthans isn't the best Barrows set to wear stat wise but it is all you need and saves you space whilst swapping in helm/spear to health. If you fight mage based melee monsters then use Karils body/skirt. If you are praying use Proselyte body/legs. Always use a super attack/strength, average task uses 2-3. If you're getting hit a lot then bring defs too (Hellhounds for example). Bunyip is good for most tasks, Guthans is almost not needed but best to take for safety. On tasks you pray on a Terrorbird for loot is good. If you are rich then it is worth investing in a cannon for certain tasks.
  21. I had a dupe of my quest hood as I died with the cape on. Then I got 99 fletching and died with it so I got a dupe of that hood. Then I got 99 cooking and guess what? Yep I died so I got a dupe of the cooking hood. So I get 99 strength and thought I was safe, but I still died! So I got a dupe of the strength hood. Just got 99 attack. Lets hope I don't get a dupe of that hood.
  22. You need to speak to one of the three people in Falador who tells you to go to Lumby Caves.
  23. Which you can refil by casting bloom on the vines and collecting 3 vine flowers.
  24. I was right: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Icyene Appears they forged the godsword too. The hilts are the followers additions. Oh and also from the godsword piece on wiki: The Godsword is believed to have been forged by the near-extinct Icyene race. Although, it seems the blade was stolen before it could be passed to Saradomin, whom the Icyene follow. Maybe the the Elite Guard are using stolen swords too.
  25. Ashes to Plums is a far better suggestion.
