  1. The worst subculture that the internet has grown in its poisoned womb since people who read Homestuck. Lock this thread, salt the earth.
  2. You should dress up as Spiderman and hit on chicks yo
  3. Yo I don't know if you were paying attention but they made an infographic about it, I don't think an infographic has ever been misleading. One of those things taught me how to make brownies in a microwave. Semper fi

Same here. Everytime I try and call someone I can feel my cilia turning into tiny scorpion tails, my alarm seems to summon plagues of locusts with human faces from a world unlike our own, my headphone port occasionally leaks blood that screams when it makes contact with wood and there's an option in my settings to open something called 'The Seventh Circle of Alagnael'. Plus the camera sucks. iPhones, am I right guys?
  6. I resubbed for it, and it's pretty great on all fronts. A definite improvement over pretty much every previous iteration of the game, and still better than all of the MMOs I've tried in the past couple of years.

Well, I don't want to blame it all on 9/11, but it certainly didn't help.
  8. Au contraire, Crystal dudes have a pretty useful ability. They can prevent people from entering and leaving the room they use it in, and it also prevents all damage to the room. I really like the Federation Cruiser B, since it starts with an extra point in the artillery laser, but the rest seem like acquired tastes. And I tried watching a dude play FTL but it was on Youtube and he was godawful and it made me very sad. I know someone who streams it semi-regularly but he's from the UK so I'm rarely online when he does it. Being able to advise/criticise in real time seems like it'd greatly increase my enjoyment of watching other people play videogames on the internet.
  9. If you look around, there's a mod or something that disables the rebel fleet. It's not a sandbox mode but it's pretty close. It makes the game much more easier, though, so it doesn't really cover what you're looking for. A neverending dungeon style mode would be pretty great, I agree. Maxed out engines are pretty spectacular, I think with that and a two-star pilot I was up to 50%ish evade on the final boss. Been trying to unlock the secret ship but I can never fulfill all of the conditions. Either I find it but not the right sector, or I find it and miss the event to unlock it or I don't find it at all. Being intentionally vague to try and avoid spoilers, I guess. :v
  10. Bonez899 - resident joke-getter.
  11. 121 pages of people being oh so wrong. Let me educate you all. Rashida Jones, everybody:
  12. Man I loved the part where Daenerys travelled to the Wall and her dragons got turned into wights. And then Jorah abandoned her so he could marry Jon Snow. And then Joffrey was a very nice young man.
  13. Yeah, this game is really good and everyone should buy it. It's only $10 and since the Kickstarter was so successful (I think they asked for $10k and got about $100k? Something like that) there will probably be more content added/continued support for it. As for giving people some idea of what it is, FTL is kinda Roguelike-esque in its design. Permanent death, progressive difficulty, randomised events and loot, etc. but there's RPG elements in upgrading different aspects of your ship, training your crew, etc. You're a Federation ship which needs to get home to warn your bosses about the Rebel Fleet's really balla' flagship through 7 sectors w/various races and I guess level conditions. Continuing chat from the prev thread: For my first win I used the Engi Cruiser with a tonne of ion weaponry/bombs and a couple of anti-ship drones. I think the biggest problem is generally the missile launcher so being able to lock that down pretty much continuously with an ion bomb or two helps a bunch. As for me I've been trying out boarding ships and killing the crew rather than just destroying them. It works really well if you manage to get two Mantis guys to fight for you. Gonna hope to unlock the Mantis ship because I assume it comes with a teleporter since Mantis are so board-happy. And thanks for making the thread, I probably would've eventually made on but I'm lazy.
  14. FTL IS SO GOOD OH MY GOD. Steam tells me I've run up 15 hours in it, but a couple of those will have been spent paused while tooling around on the internet. Still, it's probably the most value-for-money thing I've bought since The Binding of Isaac probably. I've only unlocked three ships so far (well, three ships and an alternate layout for one of them), the unlock conditions for the ones past the Federation Cruiser and the Engi Cruiser seem to have a really low chance of happening, I've only seen the Zoltan and the Stealth Cruiser ones so far. Ugh I really want there to be an FTL thread but I am too lazy to make one.
  15. Sounds like somebody just wants to screen cheat. For shame.
  16. Watch me end thousands of years of theological debate: https://www.google.c...aK-S0iQfVtIHoAw You're welcome, Christians.
  17. I frequent this thread for advice on all my technology and technology-related purchases I've decided to probably buy an Etch-a-Sketch or something.
  18. PUA forums are always good for a laugh
  19. Probably because most people posting on a Runescape internet forum for relationship advice have already taken the route of "giving it the old college try" and are looking for something a bit more substantial than that. Alternatively: given the amount of marriages that end in divorce it seems pretty appropriate.
  20. Yo if you do end up breaking up w/her (you should) you should probably tell her friends or parents or whatever to keep an eye on her if you're in contact with any of them. Better safe than sorry and all that jazz if she is as unstable as she sounds (pretty unstable).

    I support education.
  22. Skelethon came out about a month ago and after listening to it a whole bunch, I can pretty safely say album of the year. Or at least rap album of the year. (disclaimer I have not listened to a whole bunch of albums released this year) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDWZw39j3MY
  23. You meet the best character in the series in Uncharted 2. [spoiler=huge spoilers]It is Jeff. I bought the Sniper Elite bundle because Sniper Elite V2 looked interesting and I am a sucker for Steam deals. Also played some more Diablo 3 after putting it down for a month or so. I'd kinda burnt myself out on it so it's a lot more enjoyable now.

I think he just wants you to be a safer driver man, no need to freak out so much
