CNN: 7 Dead. Up to 30 People hurt; Shooting in a Wisconsin Sikh Temple; Children held as hostages
Yes, because the gun laws are crap in the first place. If they were made illegal now, there are still hundreds of thousands of guns in circulation which would indeed be easy to get illegally. But, Instead of thinking about the present, think about future generations. With a change of law comes the possibility of a change of culture with future generations, with guns being perceived rightly as bad things tor civilians to have, and the possibility of many being taken out of circulation, making aquiring them illegally much more difficult, stopping many of these shootings from happening. no it wont. If somone really wanted they can make a molotov cocktail easily if they want to kill a group of people and are unable to find a gun I don't think a molotov cocktail has ever killed somebody let alone a group of people.

BF vs. COD
Why can't different gaming communities just bond over their shared misogyny instead of arguing all the time is what I would like to know

It's not. It's extremely relevant to the question/argument. Why go after guns when there are plenty of things out there that do much more harm and, with the aid of the government, be regulated much more easily? Oh, yeah, because guns are only made to kill! The madness! You just don't like guns because the blame can fall on others much more easily than it can for much more important issues. People are literally only capable of considering one thing at a time, you heard it here first folks.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
It went from that to referring to people with Down's syndrome (because of the eye things) and now it's usually just a general insult in the UK. And yeah, they're all outdated and have a derogative context nowadays. What annoys me is that I am pretty sure derogative is a word and Google Chrome is trying to tell me otherwise.

Personal Care/Hygeine?
I shower 2-3 times a day, usually a quick cold one when I wake up, a longer hot one to relax after work and whenever I finish swimming I'll have one to rinse off. Shampoo and conditioner (usually Pantene or Tresemme, fruity stuff) daily, shave daily w/gel, sometimes a rush job in the shower if I'm late for work. No cologne or aftershave, just standard Brut deodorant. WhiteGlo (I think) toothpaste and a pretty cheap toothbrush + dental floss and Listerine. As for exercise, there's no gym in town but I swim four nights a week + a morning on weekends. Usually 2 hour programs that I borrowed from my old coach. My primary job is pretty physically intensive so there's that too. In spite of all that I still don't eat very healthily. :v I've seen topics like these on a bunch of forums (I even think TIF had a couple before this one maybe) and never got the appeal but it is pretty interesting in a way I suppose.

You're not seriously saying guns are less dangerous than knives are you ?

I would bet money that the shooter(s) thought the victims were Muslims. Some links to the news livestream and the Milwaukee law enforcement radio feed if anyone's interested.

Breaking Bad
Man, Walt just keeps getting worse and worse. Good to see they're still continuing the trend of watching thematically relevant movies though.

What book are you currently reading?
Finished both The Left Hand of God and The Last Four Things, by Paul Hoffman. Pretty interesting alternate-history/fantasy books. The style of writing can get pretty grating at times but the concept is good and there are at least a couple of subtle historical/philosophical references that I picked up on, and probably a whole bunch more that I didn't. I also bought The Long Earth, a collab between Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter. Haven't read anything about it but I have high hopes. :v

Slender - Terrifying New (Free) Horror Game
I played it a couple of times, 6/8 was probably my record. It is really atmospheric in a dark room with decent headphones. The ambient noise/soundtrack really helps make up its shortcomings in other areas, though after two or three lives it gets pretty dull. And since then the scariness of it decreases proportionally to the amount of tools I see playing it on Youtube.

Maybe system wasn't the right word for me to use. Just trying to improve the general societal awareness of mental illness, along with making help for the issues more prevalent and less stigmatized is what I was trying to get at. Maybe people who normally would go 'we didn't know anything was up' might notice something if they knew some of the symptoms that schizophrenia or PTSD (for example) present with. Something should be done, and I think it would present a more tangible benefit than the inevitable pissing match people would get into if the right to bear arms or whatever was challenged. Perhaps if we funded research so we'd better understand the causes of psychopath behavior and the signs, we would've known the killer had a problem. And yeah, if what Gandalf said is true, this is even more relevant. This dude having not killed himself could be a valuable step towards that. Most spree killers generally kill themselves/suicide by cop.
