How does 2 months + 2 weeks = 3-4 months? I highly doubt that crafting takes 2 months, that really seems a bit long for me. I'd be tempted to say something like 3 weeks or maybe one month.

D scimmy training is about HALF the exp per hour that you would get if you used dharoks at monkey madness. And the guy doesn't even include godsword in his guide. D scimmy is surely not the best

Archive of Wisdom is your friend There's a guide which goes into great detail about the mage training arena. (called MTA handbook)

The newest trend is killing aviansies (the birds in armadyl's eerie), you can get 400k+ profit (that's AFTER factoring in the cost of ppots). You should consider it.

Rate my bank..
Solidus_77 replied to Bac_Talan's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
You've got to understand I am not comparing you to top players at all, I'm comparing you to players in general (and i'm not comparing you to myself either btw). It's a good start, if that's what you want to hear. -
Looking Back on Skill Capes, A whole Year Ago
Solidus_77 replied to DRUMINATOR17's topic in General Discussion
These "objects" symbolize an achievement, and people will honor those achievements. It's like an Olympic gold medal, they are just objects but they carry an insane amount of respect. Same goes for rares, they symbolize incredible wealth. And what are you getting respected for? You're getting respected for getting an item that very few people worldwide have been able to obtain, you're getting respected for your patience and determination. People buy or get things to show off all the time. It doesn't mean the person is insecure, they are just motivated. The insecure people are the people who think they can never accomplish anything and so they just go around bashing everyone's achievements and criticizing them for "trying to achieve respect in an online game". -
Just to clarify: when someone says "afk methods" "afking a skill" or anything like that on this forum they usually refer to multitasking, where you only pay slight attention to runescape while doing something else (like I'm doing right now as I'm typing this message). It's sort of slang, and doesn't imply that the person actually leaves the keyboard, it just means they are not paying 100% attention to runescape.

Eventually you should plan on getting both combat and non-combat skills high because that lets you access a maximum of this game. But the order in which you do them is up to you (although keep in mind some skills help for other skills, like fishing helps cooking or combat/farming help you get herbs for herblore)

Two skills closer to all 80+
Solidus_77 replied to mikehild's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
You, sir, are amazing. All skills 80+ shows EXTREMELY good balance in all skills, best luck to you for getting the last ones. -
Yes you can, your inability to do so will does not prove otherwise. Wearing d hide is good if you're afraid of dieing (personally I don't use it because of the weight). Then you should have high defense and high mage (for mage defense), it's just the higher the better. Now there are plenty of pathetic pkers like pures who just swing a dds at you or ancients who seem to make the same mistake over and over again. Just teleport for all of them If you encounter a mage with 85+ mage you got two situations: - he entangles then tb For that you just teleport THE MINUTE you stop moving (you can easily tele out faster than his teleblock) - he tbs then entangles This is where things get tricky, you can either pray the skeletons attack him and dissrupt him or you can drop your pouches and then only lose a glory (which is not much) Getting pked is not all that bad when rcing

It gave me extra incentives to get skills to 99. -
Well, you ask to be rated about skills and that includes noncombat skills. You shouldn't just ignore a whole aspect of the game just because you're a pker. Not impressive.

Profit from 99 runecrafting, solo natures - FFL method added
Solidus_77 replied to klankaos's topic in General Discussion
Ok, when you get tbed and then entangled (in the reverse, you can tele before the tb), you should always drop the pouches and assume you'll die. If you get lucky, then you can run into the abyss before he kills you, and then immediately get to edgeville and go back to recover your pouches. That way you never lose them and so you end up not wasting time. Don't ever risk losing your pouches, you are correct that the time you waste is huge. I do also agree, music is the way to go. Although I watch movies while I rc. -
No one respects Capes of Achievements..
Solidus_77 replied to Yohbilleh's topic in General Discussion
I like the initiative but there's some issues. Overall, you didn't factor in the return. You get money back from a lot of those skills. Then some specific issues with skills: For construction, you forgot the cost of the butler so here's the formula: Cost = (n * 10 000)/(t * 8) where n = number of planks and t = number of planks per trip For smithing, the current fastest method is making steel platebodies (more expensive than the gold, but also faster) For cooking, the fastest method is using sharks For magic, I *think* that the fastest reasonable method is using onyx enchants. For firemaking, burning yews is a faster method (also very expensive). The next one up is using maples. Willows are VERY slow. -
I got 99 in construction because I wanted to have a nice house, I really love the skill. Nonetheless, knowing that construction was the rarest skillcape did influenced my decision. I'm going for 99 runecrafting because I feel a great sense of accomplishment and I also love the skill for giving me such an awesome income. Agreed with all of those as the main determinants 99 fletching/cooking are still sought after because they are easy. I would also like to add expense as a determinant. People will tend to go after cheaper skills, or skills that have a high return. Expensive skills are also more or less respected.

The super energies are not needed. All you need to do is run without d hide and you will be (almost) just as fast. Of course i get pked more often but 10 glories is nothing compared to saving 26 mill in this case. Achieving top speed for 1 hour and then exhausting yourself is not as important as obtaining a good sustained rate for hours on end. -
What Are YOUR Views On 99 Fletching And Cooking?
Solidus_77 replied to Chelseaboy11_Is_Tom's topic in General Discussion
People generally take 2 weeks to finish off 99 fletching/cooking. They are able to find time because the skills can be AFKed so easily. Those who take more are on the slow side. Plenty of people can afford 99 cooking, it's less than 10 mill (let alone fletching where you don't even lose money) AND you get cash back. 79-80 isn't exactly what I would call "very fast", it's 200k exp. Over an hour reguardless of which skill. 20k exp would be "very fast" in my book. -
Then have some courtesy and talk to people on a forum like proper human beings. So far you've shown us no sign of intellect. Nobody here want to talk to some immature jerk

4/10 lvl 1 hunter is a bit ridiculous, and non-combat skills are way too low.

Solidus_77 replied to Bac_Talan's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
misinterpretations I think? or maybe it's just my different perspective? For total bank value, 10 mill is rather... low... but true, it's not bad. Hence 4/10 For armor, well I don't see much range armor to be honest. (consider getting karils? crystal bow? black d hide?) For raw materials, perhaps i didn't explain well, but it's fine. : Luxury items are status symbols, you will discover their value more when you get a more money (at that point you will notice it becomes "worth it" to get them). The fact you don't think it's worth it points out low income. By special items i don't mean random event stuff, I mean stuff from quests, minigames or stuff that's noticeable. Like castlewars armor, naval outfit. Having these items usually gives a good idea of how much you've seen of this game. Basically stuff that catches the eye for being uncommon for example. -
Yes, infact you could use these birds to get your wealth back. Or at least part of it
-
steel plates is the fastest method and therefore also the most expensive. How about buying adamant bars and making addy bolts (plain, with no gems)? I'm told that addy bars are 3k each and the bolts 300 each. Even with the feathers that's VERY close to breaking even. The only issue here would be the time taken. But is it worth it as cheap exp or not? Oh, then there's also the issue of getting the sufficient cash to start off. Well I guess if you're a good ranger you could get the bars from the avarines or whatever those birds in armadyl's eerie are called.
