  1. had me scared for a sec. :XD: Nice job and interesting location to get 99 crafting.
  2. sure, it's a possible strategy, but keep in mind that if you plan to use the safespot EACH time, it will become very time consuming. So it's not ideal if your goal is fast trips. And yes, I do believe it is possible to get 2 brothers in the same room, which makes the situation rather complicated.
  3. Yeah, but the disadvantage is how incredibly long it would take. Of the few people who have patience for 91 rc, an even fewer number have the patience for 91 rc via the abyss. Remember it's only half the profit of double nats. No sense in doing nats alone to get 91 rc if your goal is money. Best use a faster method and then spend time getting cash with the famous 1 mill per hour.
  4. I agree. Very much. Ever heard of what happened during Hyperinflation in Germany during the Weimer govt's reign? People literally used banknotes to fuel the fire in their fireplaces, yes, the value of a bucket of banknotes is less than a gram of charcoal... Therefore, i conclude that JaGeX has finally regained their cleverness. There has never been hyperinflation or anything near hyperinflation in runescape. Stop making that ridiculous comparison.
  5. The buyers get easy supplies at the cost of the sellers who have a very hard time completing with bots. The bots use unfair methods (unfair because they are not available to all of us) and therefore we need to protect the honest consumers.
  6. and thats why theres high demand the price will keep going up the more people that kill cows for the increasing demand of cowhides. its in an upward spiral The fact that there is a high demand is not because there is a low supply. Those are two different things. Killing more cows doesn't increase demand, it increases the quantity consumed. The high demand of cowhides is just due to their use as part of methods to train crafting.
  7. If you're not going to debate, don't bother posting.
  8. From what I've seen, it's one of the most expensive skills. Expect over 100 mill I believe. I do know for a fact that sara brews are the best exp and before then, it's best to make super restores.
  9. the people who think they are lying are probably the people who used to torture small cute pigs when they were small. No need for the drama, they are just people who don't understand probability.
  10. keep in mind that you don't have to get to 99 to make cash. You can cut yews or magic trees for money in woodcutting Mining makes it's best cash at 85. But quite honestly, I believe rune mining is overrated. It's really only 200k per hour which isn't a huge amount for a lvl 85 skill that's already quite hard to level.
  11. Crafted 40k nats in one day. Man I am never doing that again #-o , if I push myself too hard like that, it spoils all the fun of getting an achievement.
  12. I highly doubt that agility is easier than fishing. But to answer the current topic, no, fishing did not suddenly get easier.
  13. Very very ambitious. Me likes! Getting a phat by rcing is incredibly hard, but by no means impossible. I know very much how you feel, those pixels mean so much. Would you hate me if I mentioned that I have accomplished both your goals O:) ? Ok that was mean, so I'll give you 3 important tips: 1. Listen to music (or movies, if you can multi-task efficiently) 2. Make daily/weekly/hourly goals (like, i wanna try and make 50k nats per week or w/e) 3. After 3 days, it becomes a lot easier so DO NOT give up until you've passed 3 days. (general rule whenever undergoing loooong tasks) These tips helped me, maybe they're help you : Also, the cookies are ftw! PS: since you won't be as productive all the time perhaps you should make like "amount of exp remaining" instead of "number of hours remaining"?
  14. Just kill moss giants or ogres or one of the MANY monsters that is ideal for range training
  15. Perhaps I am in the best position to answer (if you see what I mean). And FYI, purple phat is over 190 million. First things first, no it's not impossible to get by skilling, I used nothing but the abyss. If you're going to get it via the abyss, you got to expect to spend over a month rcing (2 months if you don't have 91 rc). If you merchant, it could be anything. Some merchants can get several mills in a short amount of time, others don't. It may work for you, it may not. It certainly didn't work for me because I'm not the right kind of person but it may work for you. Staking is the same as merchanting but with even higher risks (but also higher rewards) When you get to low-income methods such as barrows, you run the risk, in the time it takes for you to get 2 mill, phats will have increased by 2 mill +. Making it near impossible to get a phat. Don't even bother using those methods to get a phat. Even for methods like abyssal rcing, expect to make an extra 30-40 million gp because the phats will increase during that time. In my opinion, that's the hardest part of getting the partyhat because you feel like it keeps getting further and further away. The best, but riskiest, method would be staking. Merchants can try things their way. Skillers will have a hell of a hard time. Monster hunters have a great potential to get the phats as well but the only reasonable methods that can get you there are dking and godwars dungeon. I'm actually surprised nobody mentioned these methods, they have potential. Now for the rather interesting question: Is the phat worth it? First of all, "value" =/= "utility" What I mean is that phats are tokens of value. Just like skillcapes. If you go for one, you are not getting it to use for something else, you are getting it for other reasons. People who go after phats want to show their potential, they feel a sense of accomplishment in getting an item that's extremely hard to get. Nobody goes after a phat for it's stats. They are "luxury goods", goods of conspicuous consumption, meaning that you go after them to show it off to others. Just like skillcapes. If you look at the "what is your dream outfit?" thread, the head item is often a partyhat. People claim partyhats have no value or are somehow not worth it. The first claim is simply put, wrong, the second claim is a matter of personal opinion. The time taken will vary from person to person and since the concept of value varies from person to person the answer could be anything. Is it worth spending over a year catching chinchompas? Is it worth spending a month in the abyss? Which parts of your real life are you willing to sacrifice in order to spend time to get this partyhat? Is it worth risking 70mill on a stake to try and get the phat? Is it worth training my stats to go kill armadyl and use the money i get there to get a phat? Often times people will say that it's not worth it when they personally don't see any hope in getting one, or have tried to get one and failed. Other rares like masks make a good compromise, or better placed goal. Even skillcapes can serve as a compromise (although, IMO, why choose? get both  ) Is it worth it? that's up to you. Let no one make that decision for you, but let people explain you the circumstances so that you know what you're getting into
  16. Wow! But why have you got 2 of the same sig? Ot: Nothing :( His two sigs are different. One of them is the exp till 95, the other till 99.
  17. defenseless? unprepared? Are you kidding? I have 99 defense and a teleport. That alone makes me so prepared that I NEVER wear armor. The pkers will humiliate themselves as they fail to spec someone who who wears no armor. Sometimes I will just drink a dose of sara brew and let them tb+entangle me. For them to pk me, they need to send their tb before the entangle, before i make it into the abyss, make sure neither of the spells splash, make sure no skeles attack them AND get decent hits on me. That's a lot of conditions that have to happen, and believe me it doesn't happen often. The amount of glories I randomly find in the abyss balances the number of glories that I have lost (meaning both these events are quite rare) I have defense, I am prepared. If you have no defense and no preparation you are the one being careless, especially if you run around with a dds and a seercull.
  18. First of all, who the hell even suggested the idea of wcing to 99 and then using that to get 99 construction? I only mentioned woodcutting in my latest two posts where I didn't talk about construction. Also, why is going for the skill as your first 99 make you stupid? That is a personal decision based on many different factors. Did you consider that maybe I went for 99 construction first simply because I was good enough that I didn't need a fletching/cooking cape as a warm-up? I did it, and it did not influence the time it took, only how I felt about it. This is a purely mental factor, it does not change the amount of cash needed or the amount of time it takes. It can be applied for all skills too so it's irrelevant to the skill on it's own when it's compared to others. If you want to discuss factors other than the time taken, go over stuff like "AFK potential" which I have already explained (and used to prove construction is a harder skill than you claim) Second of all, as many others like myself have said, time taken to get the money is included in he time taken to level the skill. I'm starting to get sick of you ignoring every single argument and just ignorantly repeat that construction is easy if you have the money. Go back, read the argument for why the time taken to get the money counts and if you have a problem with any of them, you show your arguments against them. That's what a debate is supposed to be, not this ridiculous denial. Third, and i've said this again but obviously you're just not listening. You say "oh well construction is easy once you have the money". Getting the money is the hard part. If you passed the hard part, of course it's going to be easy, but few can pass the hard part. Fourth, construction takes more than just a week. And whatever happened to this so-called method that you had that could get 99 construction in 2 days? Fifth, if 77 million is considered an insignificant amount of money, they why do people dream of owning rares that are worth half that much? Why do skillers consider 1 mill per hour a legendary income? why do people consider dking to be the most profitable and reliable income? If 77 mill is nothing, then these incomes of 1 mill per hour would take 2 weeks to get this so called insignificant value. That's obviously not the case. The only ways to surpass that kind of income are far more unreliable, merchanting and staking. Someone got 100m in a short amount of time thanks to merchanting, and was recognized for his achievement by a large part of TIF communtiy. If your claim is correct, why was he admired for achieving something that's not much more than what you consider "insignificant". As for stakers, whenever someone wins, there is a loser. Therefore, if you took everybody who staked, you would end up with a net total of 0 (all the gains there are losses). Your average staker may win a lot or lose a lot or anything in between. This means that you cannot just say that staking is good money because you cannot guarantee to be on the winning side. So, in the end, where is this so-called "average player" who considers 77 mill an insignificant amount of money? You seem to make many claims about how, for you, vast amounts of money are considered insignificant amounts. Try proving such a method exists, let alone proving the average player uses such a method. also, 99 crafting has similar exp rates to 99 construction. However it costs a lot less. I find it odd how you mention crafting as a "hard" skill when it's similar exp rates for a fraction of the cost. Woodcutting has also very similar exp rates and woodcutting doesn't even have a cost, that's supposed to be a hard skill? Furthermore, this debate was started weeks ago. According to your method, you would have already gotten 99 construction by this point. Clearly you're all talk but no action. Pathetic
  19. Macroers (auto-buyers) haven't benefited because they can no longer mass buy anymore. How could they possibly benefit? their job has been rendered USELESS! They have been HURT by this update Mass buyers who resell for a profit cannot benefit anymore for the same reason as the macroers. They're job has been rendered useless! They have been HURT by this update Mass buyers who want a lot of the goods very quickly have benefited. If that's what you meant by "mass buyers" then that's the first correct thing you've said. Mass buyers who some skillers have benefited because their goods have gone up in price (some have benefited more than others) Merchants have not benefit from this because their price range is much more limited now. Part of the merchants roles is to provide fast goods but at a higher price. Now, the stores are doing that so merchants have to compete. The infinite stock will not be equal to the street price. Otherwise people would just buy from the infinite stocks instead of from players because they are easier to access and have infinite amounts Don't bother making random claims if you can't provide any support. people who have more than one stat raised are, in fact, skillers Pkers are not responsible for your lack of precautions Merchants have the right to have patience, as they offer a very useful service. Skilling, pking, merchanting are all form of "playing the game". Don't like it? Don't do it, but don't even think about criticizing others just because they don't have the same views on what's fun and what isn't.
  20. How can I rate stats if you don't show all of your stats? :-s
  21. Isn't woodcutting exactly the same as that except even easier?
