I would have to say that the ill will caused by market turmoil and at resource gathering points more than outweighs any good will this event might bring Jagex. And it's just going to get uglier by the time Monday rolls around. Next time, they should just have a Triple Penguin Points week and leave it at that.

The life point / level ratios on the individual bestiary pages (ex: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=1336) are off by a factor of 10. They no longer agree with the ratios presented on pages like this: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster=&orderby=&keywords=living&levels=All&race=0.

I prefer to range them across the corners of water pools, preferably the ones that don't range back. To the naysayers: both the strikers & protectors have great life point / level ratios. You don't want to be skipping these.

I'd be disappointed if it was just a useless replica. I'm hoping that its location - your study - implies the replica will have some effect or function other that just looks. But that's just my opinion; the potion (2) is always half-full in my book. :-D

Two articles about advertising: one about corporate advertising and the other about player advertising. I don't see all the fuss about the new lobby screen. It's not "in your face" at all. IMO, some of you are just a bit too sensitive on this matter. As for the player-based in-game advertising, I find it lame that they won't let PMods mute spammers. Since this is not something you can really automate, it would seem that you would welcome a trusted human being doing this (and for free, mind you). Also, a longer ignore list would help (I filled mine up last week and am now deleting spammers to make room for new ones).

I don't feel any pressure to do skills I wouldn't normally do just because of the stones and some of the extra exp =/ Distractions and diversions aren't meant to be goals, they happen as you play the game normally Yes, but if you have 99s in some of these, you are not as likely to be training them at all. Playing the game normally, I would never get many of these stones. So we are back to grinding. This also leads me to believe this will not be some whiz-bang super fantastic reward, but rather something more midlevel in nature.

But consider the replica pieces, of which there will be thirty also. You could theoretically get 15 different of those before you get the first match for your POH. Not to mention all the skilling crap from your 99 skills that has to be re-stocked now.

Rather than run the course over and over, I just went back and forth through the tunnel in Dorgesh-Kahn. Had both rocks in 5 minutes.

I must admit I am coming to appreciate the Lobby update. You can stay in a clan chat while hopping worlds. You can even chat without being in any specific world. I can take or leave the rest of it.

I can only speak as to the long term effects it will have on me. I had been buying pure essence for the past week or so prior to the announcement - I had merched enough to buy supplies until 99 and I had placed the order. It was filling nicely. I managed to get a few more after the announcement and before the market value put my offer to sleep. Now I am sitting on hundreds of thousands of pure ess that I bought at very attractive prices. If they had waited just one more week to announce the bonus weekend, I'd have bought all I needed at bargain prices. Do I sell or stand pat? Would you sell or stand pat? I honestly believe that I'd lose money if I crafted it. There will be such a glut of runes on the market in late March. I wasn't buying to merch it, I was stockpiling for 99. But now, I'd be a fool to hold on to it - especially if I believe the price will crater back down. Windfall profits are nice things to fall into.

I can't help but think about what some tattoo will look like when I am 80 and have elephant's skin. So I don't think I could ever get one.

The whip is servicable, if your stats are high enough. But the D-mace has that tasty prayer boost going for it.
