  2. Well knowing as much as I do about China it was hard not to notice this topic :P And having talked to gold farmers before (boy are they surprised when I start speaking to them in Chinese) I can safely say that they DO view the issues a lot differently than we do. According to several of the gold-farmers I talked to, it really is just their job. They don't enjoy it, but it helps them eke out a living. The average wage in urban China is 45ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãââ/hour. China: The only country to be simultaneously rich and poor. At the same time, there's the overarchingly truthful fact that the entire industry violates international law; gold is still the intellectual property of JaGex Ltd., and no matter how many gold farmers I am friends with, I don't endorse the industry. A very interesting story though, I've never heard one quite like that.
  3. I posted a pic earlier where I was about halfway through my Aviansie run, saying I'd post an update. :P Well here it is... About 1.5m made of this trip, so not too bad.
  4. Well I've got to say Jordan, this guide really amazes me. After three trips I've made a little over 5m, and this is my best run: 10/10 for the guide :)
  5. Right then...off with this strange line of conversation... Just thought I'd share this; this is my best Aviansie run yet. I'm about halfway through and still have over 40 doses of prayer potion left; already got 312 adamant bars which is about 630k. [hide=I always use hide codes][/hide] aaand I'll update this when I finish :o
  6. As the leader of a skiller clan I can say that the majority of skillers actually have high or mid level "main" accounts and decide to train a low level account for the fun of it. : Additionally, combat is expensive and time-consuming; there are people who flat-out dislike training combat. It's really not anyone's place to question the preferences of others. :) By the way...I'm level 103 but consider myself a "skiller" since I focus on training everything. Skillers aren't necessarily level 3 ;)
  7. *sniff sniff* For some reason I think this thread has the potential to turn into a soft rant about the RS community. Just a shot in the dark. :o Unfortunately...there's really no way to get the "little kids" out of the game, is there? :?
  8. No...unfortunately, the user base on RuneScape in general is MUCH less mature (either that, or much more stubborn) than the user base on TIF, and letting up on the censor might not be the best idea.
  9. referring to myself in third person to prove a point. not dramatized. "Do you want to know Meld**667s opinion on this? See, Meld**** higher thinking permits him to judge other players not by the way they add**** him...but rather by the way they ***ert themselves through language over a period of time." This is why I use TIF.
  10. 51, it was the last f2p quest I had to do.
  11. Seafaring :D Seriously, that would be fun. It would be like construction...adding different enhancements to your vessel, expanding it, hiring deckhands. Then, you could use it as a mode of transportation. It's not my idea; actually, I've talked with a bunch of other high levels about this, but it's what I'd choose.
  12. I am 15 years old, and I've stayed up for ~56 hours straight before. Good lord, are you going to regret this :? Meh, you obviously know the health risks (as did I :XD:) so...good luck. Admittedly your undertaking here carries a fair bit of potential "rep" if you succeed :P
  13. Well, my understanding of knuckle-cracking (which is a habit I've adopted) is that it's just popping bubbles in the synovial fluid in joints. These bubbles form naturally from using the joints (for instance, typing on a computer). Every physician I've asked has said it's not actually a bad thing and has not been linked to arthritis. The results of these kind of studies among knuckle-crackers have the tendency to come out a bit skewed, though, since arthritis has so many other contributing factors...
  14. Runescape username: Meldar667 Country: United States of America
  15. I collect buckets and tinderboxes at the moment. I've only got about 3k tinderboxes, but I have 12k buckets :-w
  16. Disregarding all the flirtatious behavior on this thread (which is, erm, normal) I'll post some hawt pics of me studying Chinese. Yay Chinese [hide=Most exhausting course to study for][/hide] No my hair is not always like that. It gets like that for me getting frustrated. [hide=Computer-glasses reflection ftw?][/hide] Yes, the characters are backwards...I took this with iSight.
  17. Wow, this looks cool. Nice finds! Plus, by reading the Development Diary, I reached the conclusion that this is an update geared primarily towards high levels without listening to lower-leveled players whining at them because certain stuff is too hard. :shame: Looks great. I can't wait for this skill... :)
  18. Eh, better safe than sorry. There's always the chance someone could screw with your Grand Exchange offers and what not, and once in a blue moon there is someone who wants to just make someone's life miserable by dropping all their good items...yes, even if it's not for personal gain. The bank pin needs to stay :)
  19. Scenario: It's September 2004, I'm 12 years old, and I haven't been back to school for a week when a few friends show me this game called RuneScape. I create an account named Vyper92 (which I still have) and after finishing the tutorial, promptly begin training combat. I go upstairs in Lumbridge castle, attack a man, and die, losing every sundry item I was carrying. Under the impression that it was game over, Vyper92 does not log into RS2 again until October, 2007. :XD:
  20. Y'know, if I had that kind of money, I'd sock it away in my bank. Some of it I might invest in a rare or something else that will gain value over time. But otherwise, I would use it to get a few 99s in skills that are uncommon. Wow, would I love to max my herblore : That, and prayer as well. Construction is another ambition of mine, but that would cost about 35m on oak logs and be incredibly time consuming. Ah well. I'm not the type of person who goes nuts over money. You'd probably still see me wearing Barrows armor and using a whip or Dragon scimitar. Ordinarily, I would have included: "I'd give each of my close friends 5m, if they were willing to accept it" but that is no longer possible. Well, unless I found this hypothetical 250m before January :XD:
  21. Hey, thought I'd share this one as well :) Warning: I took it with my cell phone, which has about a 300px camera (for those who don't know what that means, it's not good resolution at all) A tad blurry But still right? [hide=Meldar667][/hide]
  22. Hmm... I was never too much of a quester; to be honest, I'm level 103 with 114 quest points. I only do quests that give serious advantages to skill training, or great rewards, since I'd rather skill and hang out with friends. I did Desert Treasure, though, since I play Castlewars so often and thought Ancients would be nice XD This was the most trouble I ever had with a quest. See, I must have some physiological aversion to boss fights. Dessous killed me three times... #-o And everyone told me he was easy... :o
