  3. With all he has gone through in the last week I don't think he was thinking or cared about what he was wearing. Yep, i know he probably didn't care about that (how could you after such a thing?). But the shirt is still a bit funny.
  4. Adebayor is funny: http://img17.imageshack.us/i/dsc01155cr.jpg/
  5. Got two AV's on your new computer aswell? Get rid of either (since Norton is trial you can uninstall that). Never run two anti-virus programs, just gets you alot of problems. sbrideau2000@ Got a link to a review about the new MS AV? (i guessed from your post that you've read about it)
  6. If you plan on travelling with the computer, then a laptop of course. I assume you want a pre-assembled stationary? If you plan on shopping online (saves you a bunch of scrilla), got some links to some online stores? And ill sneak around and see what i'll be able to dig up.
  7. No, not really any significant tempratures. Those cards are old, big and get quite hot easily. 100c is not desireble but i wouldn't call it dangerous. The life expectancy gets reduced the hotter parts run, but it's impossible to say how long it will last. Artifacts may start to show whenever. I would use a can of compressed air to it to blow off any crap that's there. Your temps at 90 isn't a problem, that's normal. You could buy a case fan and get some hot air sucked out.
  8. Could you give some better info about the psu? Brand, model, amps on 12v, age. Or if you could link to it's product page. I could make a list of parts if you say country+budget. Or if you got a website that you shop from you could link to it.

So i have apparently lost a 50 note. But it's not my fault, my [bleep]ing parents told me to clean my room and it's been gone since. I [bleep]ing hate it, every single god damn time i clean my room it just messes up everything even more. I seem to loose something every god damn idiot time i clean my room. [bleep] i'm pissed off.
  10. Ancelotti should be getting ready to streak around if they decide to go with Dzeko ( http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Chelsea-boss-Carlo-Ancelotti-insists-he-s-no-bare-faced-liar-as-he-promises-no-new-signings-in-January-transfer-window-article267093.html ) hehe. Only 3 games still on for this weekend Arsenal - Everton Birmingham - Man U Man City - Blackburn (monday) West Ham - Wolves
  11. A 500w will do fine. A quality 300w psu would be enough for you. I have a VX550, it's able to provide much more than i use but i have bought it because i plan to keep it for a long time, i will be able to upgrade my system without having to change the psu and i get a 5 year warranty on it aswell.
  12. The Athlon is worse for gaming because of the low cache for each core. But you prefer a quad core for normal type of usage because it's quicker (games demand much more than normal every-day application). If i were you, depending on whether you play games alot or not.. Well, the Phenom if you do but the Athlon otherwise.
  13. I guess it was too good to be true. None of the fans are running. I have two fans outside the PSU, neither are running. The fan inside the PSU doesn't work either. Do you reckon I'll have any right to a new system should this one be fried? It sounds like the psu blew then. Do not power your computer on. I don't know if you're eligible for compensation via your home insurance, the computer store or the psu company. But to get any compensation, your computer parts must be checked individually first. Edit: I should add that 650w for a system like yours is over the top and that the psu won't be working at it's best capacity. If it's a proper psu (i.e. the 12v lanes provide 650) then the psu will be working under the 20% load margin. When computer websites reviews a psu, they always start at 20% load when testing. Because a, you aren't expected to use 10% of a psu, b, power supplies start working the best at 20%.
  14. 1: There's a reason why the psu me and JoeDaStudd posted costs the same amount as yours but is labeled 400w. 2: If you mean that the cpu fan (and case ones (i'm guessing the psu fan is working)) aren't spinning, check them at another computer first if they still don't work - replace. Don't run the computer without the cpu fan working. 3: I don't know about the bang. But that's not a good sign. Get it checked. One guess i'd have would be the new psu, but usually when they blow up they stop working and take part/whole system with them.
  15. Athlon is the budget range. An Athlon quad performs slower than a Phenom quad due to the cache. If you think of games, more and more supports multiple cores. But, the Athlon is pretty held back by it's cache. Personally i'd get the Phenom and clock it up, but that's if you know overclocking... Otherwise i probably would recommend the Athlon. The Athlon is more suited for all round while the Phenom (black edt. is more enthusiast) would be better if you're gaming alot.
  16. Open up CCC and see if it also says 127. 4670 uses 50w max. So if your psu is of good quality you don't need to switch. Could you give me a link to the product page of your current psu (or tell me the brand+model+amps on 12v), and how old is it btw? The gpu overheating has nothing to do with the psu tho if that's what your getting at. But here's my recommendation: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CX400W-Power-Supply-CMPSU-400CXUK/dp/B00261ENEK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1262870469&sr=8-2
  17. Not quite, you can use two graphics cards at the same time and still not use Crossfire or SLI, I do this so I can support three monitors. Crossfire or SLI combine the processing power of multiple graphics cards, using only the ports of only one of the cards. This means you can have two cards processing the images on one monitor, with nearly twice the processing speed. You don't think i know this? Maybe you did, but using two GPUs isn't the same thing as SLI. All I'm saying. Hah. I think most people understand what i mean. So i forgot a couple of words... Blabla. And twice the speed, not really for the majority of the games. Even tho it's soon 2010, dual gpu's are still badly optimized in games. Some games you can almost get x2 the power, but on most, no (modern games).
  18. Put your ear near to the psu and check if it's the one producing sound. Or if you have a case fan, it could be that or it could be the graphic card fan. Don't spend money until you know what the problem is. And 500w isn't needed for you system, max usage would be around 150w. Run a stress test of the gpu and then one of the cpu, so you can exclude both. Since you seem so adamant about the psu, got a link to it's product page?
  19. Your card uses around 30ish watts. Not a problem with your PSU unless it's components has degraded unusually fast. I assume you're meaning you hear a fan winding up, my guess is the CPU fan. I wouldn't bother looking into changing your cpu cooling unless the sound makes you want to nuke it.
  20. You had a very limited budget, and it was the best i could do for the money. Won't allow? Of course it allows for expansion. You don't get as much stuff on it as a full ATX mobo, but you get enough. It won't have a problem with your graphics card or anything. Go for the one you posted, but personally i'd use the money on a better cpu or graphics card.
  21. Antec NEO ECO 520C If you want something cheaper, shout. [i know that this and the VX550 is over the top for his build, but they are good deals and you can keep them around for a long time]

Nice that you took your time to write that. I haven't been interested in SSD's yet, simply because of the price. When i buy one, it has to be atleast 256gb. And atm, the price for that is insane. 550 for the cheapest one, i could get a used 1980's car for that! Yes yes, i know you're supposed to have the old school hd aswell when you've got an SSD.. But... uh.
  23. Eh, perhaps somewhat deceiving marketing. But not false marketing. People are more prone to checking out something that's free and doesn't require payment. It's true that you get a small bit of this game when being f2p, but you can still spend many many hours on it without using your Visa. I got a friend that's played as long as me, and forever been f2p.
  24. I think of a notebook as a complement to a main laptop/desktop. Not itself as a main computer. Let's face it, looking at a 10" screen becomes a bit boring after a while. If you can afford or able to wait, i would recommend: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba+-+Satellite+Laptop+with+AMD+Athlon%26%23153%3B+II+Dual-Core+Processor+-+Graphite+Gray/9553896.p?id=1218123211002&skuId=9553896
