  1. I don't know to be honest. One who's grown up and can -talk-. If it's one thing that annoys me, is that a crapload of women... Wheater it's a relationship or just chatting... They are all so quiet! I hate to always having coming up with something to talk about. This hasn't anything to do with "favorite thing"... Nor has the following part: A serious relationship, i couldn't find myself attractive to one who's skinny or fat. I don't really have any favorite thing...
  2. [spoiler=text] Glad to see you too. :) Thanks to privacy filtering that's in-place, there's no problems here with IE6, given what little it gets used for ... However, my parents and I didn't upgrade for two reasons... One, the added bugs that came with IE7 and later... Two, would have resulted in that MicroSoft-made virus known as 'WGA' infecting my parents' Win XP systems. (As you can figure, that's not acceptable.) <_< Maybe that's why I'm having a small issue between FF 3.5.7 and Java 1.4.2 ... Well, that, or the fact that RuneScape does some really unusual stuff, seeing as I don't have trouble with other Java applets. ... BTW, did you know a lot of people that have FF 3.6 and Java 6u10 (or later) are having problems with RuneScape? I begin to think the last good FireFox was the 2.0.0.x series. Paired with Java 6u6, it's insanely stable. ~D. V. Devnull (p.s.: I know someone's going to try to go at me for what I know 'WGA' to happen to be under the hood... Just freaking don't... I'm about 16 shades of "Death to MicroSoft!" already... Personally, I'm going to stop following this thread anyway, so I won't see any replies.) God, you again. And yep, i'm going reply on why Windows Genuine Advantage is not a virus. First, i've never heard about this until this post and i haven't studied the subject further. To me it seems that all the different anti-virus programs out there in the world, some would have reported strange things happening. And those more skilled with computers would too, without any help from program-x. Alot of companies uses validation programs, so i assume they all are viruses too? Or is it just the one from MS that is? And i also assume you're using a Unix system since you have a passionate hatred of Windows and other products from MS.
  3. Yes. Overpopulation, far greater chances of spreading diseases for example. The amount of food and water they all need is massive and you run out of space.
  4. And i hate it when foreigners call me "f'ing Swede". The ground for any form of hatered/dislike or even as far as racism, comes from all kinds of people.
  5. Real Madrid... All those euros last year and they are thrown out again for the 6th consecutive year. Pellegrini, if his sacked, it's a joke. A bunch of new players, new coach... Takes a bit of time to build. I don't follow Real too much, but his done a great job... All those egos, all those new players... And they are first in La Liga. Not bad. Birmingham - Everton, 2 - 2. It was a good match, but i think Everton could have won. Donovan did a great job during his spell. Anichebe's cracker was great. Half hour until Chelsea - Inter... Hm, i hope Inter takes it but i think Chelsea will.
  6. ^ My dad, who jogs 3 times a week, changes shoes every year. March/april - oktober/november - Normal summer shoes, then winter ones (with spikes). So it's a cost of about 200 a year.
  7. Don't know if i should answer, since the above post about PC is basically what i've experienced. I've never met anyone that's been racist to me or towards someone else. I guess some crazy marxists would label you racist for having a joke or two with some friends at the pub.... But it's all harmless and not meaningfull. But i hate that the political correct people label you as a racist just because you're proud of being who you are (not a patriot or nationalist by any means, but proud of the history), for holding certain values, for mentioning that the current immigration politics in my country is not so perfect.... Etc etc.
  8. Yes it's a good card. If you feel it's worth it, go for it. I wrote a bit about it here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/259541-making-my-computer-more-up-to-date/
  9. I just usually suggest the card that's most bang for the buck. Same goes for cpu. People are a bit strange i have to say... Since alot of the time, especially kids, say "ATI suck!" "Intel suck!" etc etc... I really don't understand why people are so damn fond over brand-x when it comes to cpu/gpu. I just logically think, most bang for the buck. If that's Nvidia or ATI doesn't really matter. If a person who's gonna build a computer and look for a specific brand, such as Nvidia, then yeah, of course you look for a fitting card. I don't know why i'm writing this but i just felt the need to. And also, a 650w psu for his build is way over the top. This would be more than sufficient. And some room for upgrading too. This one is the next i'd look at. But unless you're planning on updating cpu+gpu in less than two years, i wouldn't bother. Running a ATI 5830 with the Antec 400w (with your current setup for example) would be no problem.
  10. No. Convert the Australian dollar to Euro and you get 29.
  11. Lol. A 600w psu for 29. Maybe there's a reason for this price you think? You'd find a proper, well built, 300w psu for the same price. A proper 600w psu will cost around 80, atleast.
  12. The mobo being AM3 only impacts the processor I thought, and this is AM3 as well... Does that impact something else as well? And the extra $10 sounds worth it, what about this video card instead?: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=48038&vpn=HD577XZNFC&manufacture=XFX I just mentioned it because some people forget to change to correct cpu. (just for precaution) Ss_J9_Goten has already linked to a 5770, 152 bucks. 1gb memory is not needed unless you're playing on some big [wagon] resolution.
  13. 5770 is about 8-10 fps faster than 5750. You could gain this with the 5750 by overclocking it. But if you wanna save 10 bucks... I guess. And remember the mobo is AM3.
  14. Manufacturers of graphics card have (the ones i know) a minimum of 1 year. Some even as far as 10 (i think Evga and one more). If you'd have the receipt it wouldn't be a problem.... But seems like you don't.
  15. It doesn't. http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_9400gt_us.html And wow. I'm stunned, i was wrong about the 9400gt. 50w! Holy crap, it's as much as my 4670. The 8600gt i have in another computer uses about 40w... And both of them are a crapload more powerfull than the 9400gt. I don't really know how Nvidias technicians have designed and engineered this. I assumed about 25w since that's the area where those types of cards float around in. But still, i run the 8600gt on a 250w psu (albeit from 07 and only a single core celeron aswell). So i don't know what's up with that card. @Emers: Do you have the possibility of testing it in another computer? The 2 prong cord, if i've checked correctly, is what i have to power my dvd player. But you might mean another type of cord? I'm not sure. no, i dont. =[. im thinking the card is dead. but would it still get power if it were dead? EDIT: its more of a connector, its got a 2 prong inserting thing (i think its called the "female" end of it). and its thin. i googled it, and i think its for audio. It's alive lol. No but just because you ain't getting any picture doesn't mean the whole thing has died on you. Return it to the shop if it still has warranty on it (if the shop refuses and you still have warranty you can contact the manufacturer instead).

  17. 9400gt uses something like 25w on full load. So changing the psu just for that graphics card wouldn't be necessary. The pci-e slot on the motherboard provides 75w, anything above that you'll need molex or pci-e cables from the psu to the graphics card.

Hehe. Shame i must have missed that topic, don't really feel like bumping all this time later. But, you seem to be more Nordic than i am, and i more American than you - in the political ideology.
  19. that case is tight, and i mean like...i saw a computer on bestbuy's website for 620$ and it had 8gb ddr3 sdram. it was a gameing computer. idk if i should just buy the computer already built, or build my own. Depends, does it come with a good GPU, good sized HDD etc? wutwut. idk xD im not good with computers. im not gonna be putting teh computer together by myself also. ima have my friend from work help. Your better off building a computer then I doubt the one instore has a good gpu etc if gpu = graphic card, then the graphic card in the computer that i was thinking of buying is a ATI Radeon HD 4350. do u know if thats better than a pny geforce 9400gt made by nvidia? o.O Both cards are terrible. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/best-gaming-graphics-card,review-31807-7.html Anything under a 4670 or 9600GT isn't worth buying trust me you'd regret it. haha yeah, my friend just told me that on facebook. xD it'll be a few months before i get a GeForce GTX 280 like him. but thats what im gonna be putting in my puter. also, i found a diff cpu, its more expensive, but my friend told me that intel works better with nvidia gfx cards, and amd works better with ATI. idk if this is true, but i found a pretty nice cpu that he recomended me for only 20 dollars more. heres the link. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4621250&Sku=I69-8400 Not true. And that Intel cpu is worse and older than Joedastudd's listed. Edit: What's with the quote lol?
  20. I'm god damned annoyed. More chance of success while smelting iron. Why? Why are they making everything in this game easier... And this new hp update annoys me too. Hitting in the 100's... Bah! Maybe i've played for too long since everything they do nowadays seems to annoy me.
  21. Thanks for the suggestions. I have a friend who can do it, who's said he will do it if I get the parts. Good. I just rememberd that you could check the psu before ordering things, probably won't be good enough but if you could write it's name (brand+product name) i'll check it out. Also, if you'd want to spend less cash just shout. Edit: Remember it said system name in your screenshot lol (multi tasking too much atm). From the info i've seen, it's 250w. So go ahead and order if you'd like to (or wait for someone else to also drop in a reply). Just one question though, is that graphics card as good as say one of the higher end Geforce's? Will this setup allow me to play new games on high quality settings? Depends on which Geforce card you're talking about. It's better than a ATI 4850 which is about equal to a GTS 250. But under 4870 which is about equal to a GTX 260. But it will allow you to play games at pretty decent settings, yes. Check some reviews. I just picked it because it's a good price, DX11, low power usage (108w max) and pretty small size. If you want something beefier, say.

  23. ATI 5770: http://www.dabs.com/products/best-value-powercolor-ati-radeon-hd5770-1gb-ddr5-pci-e-6K8Z.html?refs=13 Corsair VX450: http://www.dabs.com/products/corsair-memory-450w-atx-ps-2-sata-12v-4N14.html?q=corsair%20vx 160£ together. Changing the cpu would mean you'd have to change the motherboard aswell and possibly the memory aswell. So the money starts to roll. The os tied to the motherboard aswell if my memory doesn't fail me, so it might be one more problem. The best option would be to overclock it, they can without much fuss get to around 2.8 -3ghz. But that's of course if the person know how to. Also, do you know how to change components (it's not difficult really), or do you plan to get some friend to help you? If you plan on it yourself i'd advice you to read or/and check some videos online and also buy a anti-stat arm band. Maybe Joedastudd can come up with some better options since his British i think.
  24. The obvious hog is the gpu. The cpu is a quad, albeit a little bit slow. But let's focus on the gpu. You'd need to change the graphics card and most likely the psu aswell. I'd say about 150 quid for those two (in that area). Your computer is Packard Bell, so i don't know if it would break the warranty on changing those components (if your warranty has expired, then it doesn't matter).
  25. Let's take from where you are. System info - components - screen. It will say Nvidia or ATI xxx most likely.
