UN body OKs call to curb religious criticism
My problem is, even tho it isn't binding, that something like this has been given an ok. Just to think, that the bloody UN ok's this is pathetic.

Trip Room!
I think i would rip my eyes out after a while, if i had a room like LP. And start with cleaning your room maybe get a new carpet, change around your bed/drawer etc and some new wallpaper... Cheap and would probably be enough if you don't want some weird stuff.

Lagging while using HD
There alot of options, here are a couple of intresting products from Newegg (Canada): The MSI one, i think is the most bang for the buck. If you want to save money, the Asus for 900$ will still be able to play RS with no problem. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6834220488 ASUS N80 Series N80Vn-X5 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P8600(2.40GHz) 14.1" Wide XGA 4GB Memory 320GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT 999$ http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6834220506 ASUS X59SR-X5 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T6400(2.00GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 4GB Memory 320GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 899$ http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6834152073 MSI GX630-028US NoteBook AMD Athlon X2 QL-62(2.00GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 4GB Memory 250GB HDD DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 1000$

Computer assembly help!
Ah, if you chose my psu, i had combined the psu and mobo that i picked. Because that mobo used just a 4pin atx connector, the Jetway is 8pin. I suggest you either return the psu (if you want help choosing a new one - np) or buy one of these - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6812201005

Computer assembly help!
Or dealing with push-pins. God damn i hate them. It took about 10min until my cpu cooler stayed on lol. In this aspect, AMD's solution outclasses Intels by miles. And as you say, it's not hard if you follow guides correctly. I think there are several videos on youtube dealing with each part, so shouldn't be a problem. Anyways a good article - http://www.nordichardware.com/Guides/?skrivelse=432

UN body OKs call to curb religious criticism
http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/art ... AD975TOK00 http://in.reuters.com/article/worldNews ... 0220090326 "The U.N.'s top human-rights body approved a proposal by Muslims nations Thursday urging passage of laws around the world to protect religion from criticism. The proposal put forward by Pakistan on behalf of Islamic countries with the backing of Belarus and Venezuela had drawn strong criticism from free-speech campaigners and liberal democracies. A simple majority of 23 members of the 47-nation Human Rights Council voted in favor of the resolution. Eleven nations, mostly Western, opposed the resolution, and 13 countries abstained. Muslim nations have argued that religions, in particular Islam, must be shielded from criticism in the media and other areas of public life. They cited cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad as an example of unacceptable free speech. Opponents of the resolution included Canada, all European Union countries, Switzerland, Ukraine and Chile. The council is dominated by Muslim and African countries. Its resolutions are not binding, but are meant to act as recommendations for U.N. member states on issues of human rights." ----- I am surprised to not have seen this topic here. And even more surprised not to have seen much about it in the media in my country. "It called on states to ensure that religious places, sites, shrines and symbols are protected, to reinforce laws "to deny impunity" for those exhibiting intolerance of ethnic and religious minorities, and "to take all possible measures to promote tolerance and respect for all religions and beliefs"." Now, I'm an agnostic person, but born in a christian country. I have no problem if you belong to religion x, but it pisses me off that if it were to be implemented in my country, i could possibly go to jail or get fined for criticizing a religion. And i do feel somehow, that this is mostly meant for Islam. I don't like any religion, i can agree with some things - but that's it. Why shouldn't i be able to criticize Islam for example? If i for one, don't agree on the topic of abortion in Islam, i shouldn't be able to say what i think? How the hell does this go hand in hand with freedom of speech and human rights? It is my bloody right to voice my opinion. The UN is a complete joke for me now (i don't know a lot about UN, but this looses all my respect for them). I'm happy tho, that my country did the right thing and voted against it. Discuss on what you think about this, and if this law were to be implemented in your nation, how would you feel/react?

What's Wrong With Norton?
It's a good product, but quite highly priced. The fact is, in the last test in autumn at av-comparatives, it scored very good in every test. And they have trimmed it quite alot (09 version), as that has been the main beef from users.

Computer assembly help!
Yes. As i said earlier, (since you seem a bit unsure but wanting to build) you can always pay a company to build it. Edit: Didn't read your question carefully enough. It is a quad = 4 cores at 2.3ghz each. It is one cpu with 4 cores.

Computer assembly help!
There can be alot of different explanations for why it isn't working for person x. But there has not been any news on hardware sites that adress this. The 9600 does have the TLB bug, yes, but AMD hasn't heard of anyone outside their lab having trouble with it (checked archive news just now at a hardware site). If you don't want it, and to keep in your price range: AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750, 2.7ghz - 65$ AMD Phenom 8650 (x3) 2.3GHz - 83$

Computer assembly help!
Works perfectly with Vista 64 bit. And if you mean the TLB-bug, it was something that AMD found in their lab and almost no users were affected by it. This bug was corrected in later steppings of the Phenom cpu's last year. And in fact, both Core2 and i7 also got this bug - but it's not something to worry about. I also want to point out, that Phenom from the beginning was engineered for 45nm - thus lower performance than expected.

Computer assembly help!
Yes it supports am2+. I made some changes in your list to save some money: CM Elite 330 - mid tower - 40$ Foxconn A7VMX-K AM2+ mATX - 55$ EVGA GeForce 9600 GSO 512MB - 80$ AMD Phenom 9600 2.3GHz - 85$ G.SKILL 4GB pc6400 - 40$ If you choose the cooler i said (low noise is nice), you have about 50$ for a psu. Enermax Tomahawk 405W - 45$ (really, your psu might survive a while, but i wouldn't trust it) =365$ with rebate=345$
-
Computer assembly help!
Good luck with the psu. Get a better one. And you don't need a harddrive and an optical drive? Cheap cpu cooler also get a arctic silver 5 if you're going with an aftermarket cooler. And pay someone to build it if you're unsure about putting it together.

Smokers section
I don't smoke and that really bothers me. Somehow it's acceptable for a person to be 100 pounds overweight and sedentary, but it's not ok for a person to be a smoker and active (sports, etc.). Being overweight doesn't harm those around you though. :-w Not directly, but passively. As with tobacco users, they put a strain on the health care.
