Passive or fan cooled? That card shouldn't be at those temps at all. My 4670 (fan cooled, auto) doesn't go above 65C at full load. If it's air cooled, you could raise the fan-speed a bit in CCC. As others say, it won't die because of it, but that card should be in the 40-50s max. @Bauke: CPUs have a built-in safety control, if it gets above 75-80 it will shut down automatically to prevent damage.

Not quite building, just putting a part in, but a 4830 is easily overclockable to the 4850s and can even outperform it on stock cooling while overclocked. Some may hate me for saying this but you can use the catalyst built in OC'ing thing to do it so easily it's ridiculous. It's cheap but pwns. I own one and it owns. :) CoD:WaW runs at 70FPS everything @ max, except some obvious things not turned up all the way. Not even OC'd either. The thing is, you can't choose a 4830. And i don't know how it would affect the warranty of the computer. And i can't recommend him overclocking, it takes quite some time to learn it.

It would work if they have a good brand. With that setup, it gets closer to the maximum output of the psu. I would advice on the 500w option instead. The 9500gt is not power-hungry, but the 9850 is. Combined with all the things, i say go for the 500w option. Buying a aftermarket psu is also a option, but it would cost more.

It depends on how much you will game. I will say that if you're gonna keep it for a couple of years, get the 4850... And possible the 9850 aswell (but the 4850 would be more important in this case). With Intel setup instead, d5200t (same specs otherwise), Q9400+500gb hd - 900$. 220$ for the 4850.

Suecia! I could have chosen to join the army, they basically asked me "do you want to join, yes or no?". I said no, simply because i wouldn't have motivation for doing the infantry service. Since the age of 6-7, i've always been fascinated by fighter-air planes. Perhaps due to two reasons, there is a airforce-base 10km from where i live, and, my country produces their own aircrafts (SAAB). I've always wanted to be a pilot, always dreamt about it, and i think i will do til the day i die. The problem is, aside from my grades and fitness i am not allowed. Simply because i don't got good enough vision, and you aren't allowed to laser-correct it either. Now, i could do the military service and then asked to be placed at an airforce-base for ground-service (serving aircrafts or whatever), but you still have to have atleast 1.0 eyevision for that. And mine is 0.4/0.7. They do allow laser-correction for the ground-service, but that would cost me 3400. So, i said no. And our defence is a joke. The reduce the budget for it all the time as "there's no threat". No threat you say? Right. Russia is increasing their budget for their army immensly. And just look what happend last year, invasion!

It's a strange subject. I don't know how other countries media is, but i will write a little about mine. In Sweden, you may not always get called racist but probably 75% of the time if you question the immigration and immigration laws. And this is why it's still (altho getting better each day) "forbidden" to talk about the failed immigration. Media is always trying to get a word in about a party or a person who questions the immigration, not necessarily the word racists but "xenophobia" instead. Now tell me how i become that. I question the immigration because; There's not enough apartments and houses for everyone - these families who come often lives 5-10 people in a 3 room apartment. They commit a large amount of crimes - looking at the amount of them (but they you NEVER see names like "Muhammed robbed a guy on his phone" instead it's "Martin robbed a guy on his phone" or instead of names they are called swedes in the media). Currently we take in 100k immigrants (2008), while we are loosing jobs. Volvo has since the fall fired over 5500 people - example. And it just continues, companies are firing people left and right. And if i question the sanity of this, i get called a racist or xenophobiac. I am not. I am technically not even 100% swedish.

Begotten. I was reading before on another forum at the film section and read about it, and decided to see it. I don't like horror movies in general, just some whacko running around with a knife killing a couple of dudes. But this! It was produced in a way to make it look old, and it's in only black&white. To some extent it reminded me of the original Nosferatu film. I am really fascinated by this film, there's no dialogs, it looks like it's from the late 19th centuary, weird background noices. Watched in the middle of the night, perfect time.

Why two 160gb drives? Why not just one 320 or 500 one? If you can spare 70$, go for the AMD/ATI setup. It's much more performance for the price. You could get a 450w psu instead if you feel like it. The con would you have less space for upgrading and the fan will be louder than one on 550w. I would probably go for the 550 one, more room for upgrades. Build looks good.

Well, Ubuntu running games thru Wine is one possibility. I think MS will offer a free upgrade from Vista to Win7, but i'm not 100% sure... you might want to check it out. Anyways, a 64-bit OS.

Well, i don't really know why i'm writing this. Hm ok, to a certain extent i do know i guess. This may seem like a strange beginning of a text (and it is), but i came home from the pub a while ago, i don't really know why i need to write This... I guess i feel that i need to "write off" some things and thought i might share some thoughts of my dreaming, and it's not a dream... It is more day-dreaming, something that i do alot. I often think about moving. I live in a town, 30min north of the 4th biggest city in my country. Ever since i was 10 i have been dreaming and thinking of moving. Not just moving into the city or out to the country somewhere, but abroad. In my day-dreaming during the years, i've thought of moving to Germany, Scotland & USA. I don't know if this is because my older sister lived in England for 10 years, might have had som under-psychic influence. Guess i've always been day-dreaming about different things, wheter it been in school, home, pub or whatever. Currently, i am "studying" a couple of subjects that i need to finish in order to be able to enter a education (network-technician). I finished (highschool i guess it would be) without a couple of finished subjects. And i guess my non-will and lack of motivation of finishing these subjects is the reason i still live at home after 1&½ years. More and more, as the time has gotten by i have been trying to figure out why i'm doing (or not doing) the things i am (without almost any pressure from home). I think i'm standing at the end of the road (as the Sentenced song), because i really must make up my mind about if i really want to finish these subjects and get into my computer education, otherwise i will have to become a construction worker or something (not that i'm degrading that work by any means, it just wouldn't be me). And this comes back to my day-dreaming, i am more and more thinking of either moving to south of Germany, New York or San Francisco. I don't really know why i'm thinking of these places all the time, of these places i've only been south of Germany twice and never to the states. And in turn, this comes back to me finishing my subjects and getting into the [bleep]ing education i want. For USA i wouldn't be needing to read any language, and for german (i am 10% german..., and read 4 years of basic german) i would need to read seriously if i were to move there. I know a couple of people there already, so in that meaning it would be easier. But i don't know... I really have to make up my mind in next week or two... If you read this, you might be asking yourself "why am i reading this and what does this has to do with this topic?... I honestly don't know. I really felt that i needed to get this out of my system, and this was the best topic i could think of... Come on, bash me all you want. Sorry. Edit: Uh, good morning. Why did i write this lol...
