Not entirely accurate, it should be a bit higher in up/down. I got a nice ping. I live with 0.8, works perfectly. But maybe you have some movies passing thru your wires...

Nvidia/AMD/Intel are going down in manufacturing-size on their chips every year, they will consume less - not more (ok maybe when the 16 core cpus come it will be another thing, but that's nothing to worry about now). I think you're one of those who have fallen for the "psu marketing myth". - 750W-850W are similarly Priced, I'd just pay 10% more for 100W more. There would be no problem ocing a 9800gtx+ on a 450w psu. [hide=W][/hide] Running a GTX 260/280 or a HD 4870 wouldn't be a problem at all. 9800x2gtx still uses more than those cards. 4870x2 and 9800x2 are in a different leauge of cards so you can't really compare them. Tri sli? Yeah... For what? 3dmark 06 points? Because it's totally pointless in games. And i don't think people who are asking about computers on TIF even barely knows what tri sli is. Recommending a 850w psu is totally and utterly useless. Phenom 9950 Black Edition. I really dunno why you would be using a 850w psu when i can clearly see that you don't know very much about hardware.

If you are applying new paste, i hope you removed the old paste from the cpu and fan correctly. I hope you didn't just put some new onto the cpu without removing the old stuff. And use coretemp instead of speedfan. Grrr... Back from holidays and what do i get? Sick! Flu, headache, sore throat... Lol.

Seriously. Choose the one that's the cheapest, just not the one with the reference design.

I remember some mod posting that putting anything in hide tags would not make the signature under the rules if it was larger to begin with. Shaders, generally speaking. (but ATI and Nvidia uses different manufacturing techniques) 512mb version is the one you should pick. If you play on 1920x1080 you should pick a faster card (then 1gb comes into place, but 9400 is too slow at that res anyways to the memory size still doesn't matter). But why are you buying from dell? Picking up a new piece for (presumably) Dell computer you already got? Or getting a Dell and choosing a card? You might want to uninstall the current drivers to your current card and install the latest before you buy anything new. I know WoW isn't the most demanding game, but pick a 9500gt if you can.

There's something called Yahoo and Google lol. With modular you can choose what cables to use and put away the ones you don't need, a regular power supply you have all the cables and you can't take them off. Modular are always more expensive, but it saves you space and air-flow.

You have great sea-fishing in the UK, so either you can do (beach) casting or go out in a boat. Or fly-fishing in the rivers. Depends on where you live tho (obviously).

Why doesn't Q66 work for you? Granted it's old, but it costs alot less and is extremely easy to clock. At those prices, you could get a damn i7 920. Never heard of that psu brand, and is only 70% certified. Im just gonna say, get a SeaSonic/Corsair/Zalman/FSP or Thermaltake psu, 450-500w with 80+ effeciency and toss a coin. When it says peripherals, it means molex. I thought you had a sub 900 budget.

Motherboard (depends on the mobo) uses the mainconnector 20 or 24 pin. Optical drive uses one sata, harddrive another sata. The case fans usually goes into the motherboard, but (if i remember right) if they draw more than 3w each you should connect them to the psu instead. But 80 and slower 120mm are just to plug into the mobo. The graphic cards, depends on which you choose. If you choose the 4850 it will use one 6pin pci-e connector. You should never judge on how it looks. FSP is a really good brand, they build quality stuff. On the OCZ psu you had 4 molex connectors if my memory serves me right, which can be used to connect to a bigger graphics card (such a 4870) or more hd's.

There's something called "specs" next to customer reviews where it states what you get. Yes, it can read and burn, dvd and cd. It has enough things for a gaming computer. If you need more sata or pci-e connectors you have some molex to play around with. If you want something that you don't need adapters for - get another psu. As i said, because of it's price it's pretty sweet.
