  1. I like them. Good price for the amount of space they have. And they look really good, I really like the yellow one.
  2. Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze
  3. I'm too lazy to once again link to different components. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6883107705 - 900$. This is a good deal i think. Sure, you can get these components yourself and build it yourself and save money. But this is a good deal. If you want to play COD4 and have a bit "future proof" it works well.

Haha, i'd never buy this game. Only three re-installations, then you have to contact the support if you need to re-install it more times. http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs. ... lert-3-drm (Red Alert 3 will have 5 re-installs... Lmao!) This will only put strain on their support, which sucks anyways, and no wonder people will go look for a crack to this game. Good thinking, especially when the pc-games are doing so bad compared to consoles.
  5. You can do some searching too=) http://www.pcguide.com/byop/byop_Aligni ... dHoles.htm http://www.pcguide.com/byop/byop_Choosi ... ndoffs.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_c ... d_standoff
  6. Like, my hard drive has, maybe 1000MBs to act as RAM. The Flash Drive acts as 1800MBs. This with my 1GB would be over 2GB, which is the max it says my computer can take. So buying a new, 2GB RAM stick will have little or no effect? I am going insane. But I thought it best to ask if buying one would effect my system since I have all those items acting as RAM. Don't wanna waste 60 bucks. :? Uh, i know ready-boost with usb memories... But using space on a hd as ram? Never heard this lol. Using ready-boost gives a little bit of boost, but not much. Comparing it to putting in a 2nd ram stick, the difference between ready-boost and actual ram is huge. If i don't remember wrong, i think i remember Clare saying that ready-boost also uses a bit of CPU power. (if you mean read-boost. otherwise give me a link or explain to me what your are talking about, do you mean an external usb-hard drive as ram?.. i don't get it). Buying a ram stick (1gb should be enough if don't use many applications at once .. etc), for 40$ or so=worth it.
  7. I'm no expert, only done it twice. But i followed the guide on NordicHardware and it worked for me. The CPU should be fastend in the motherboard first, then the paste and then fan. But it also depends on what paste you bought. If the paste is more "hard flowing" (i'm not english, so excuse that expression. some paste's are more loose than other) a credit card as you said, could be used instead. But whatever you got, it should be a plane and thin layer.
  8. You might as well get another 1gb or 2gb stick to the machine with vista premium, i'd go insane with just 1gb on it.
  9. It depends on how big the cpu is, but normally a little dot should be enough. It's what i've done anyways. A line like that would work too. Arctic Silver wouldn't put out false information =)
  10. A click like that will be enough, the cooler placed on top will even out the paste. (if you're unsure it's looking good, lift up the cooler again and check the spread) I think Arctic Silver have a guide about paste on their webpage.
  11. A little dot in the middle of the CPU Here's a good guide on how to build a computer - http://www.nordichardware.com/Guides/?p ... ivelse=432 A bit old, but the principals are the same. (i link to the page with CPU+thermal paste since you're wondering about it)
  12. Hmm looks good, do they offer a payment plan on computers/parts. Becuase if i can buy all the parts seperate and make payments and have them assemble it, id be happy as a fly. ( I plan pay with payments, but like $100 a payment for 5 months) PS: By games i mean stuff like Battlefield 2 and The Orange Box on low details running smoothly Well, it seems like the 2400pro would go for around 20fps on BF2 on 1024x768. Playable, but barely. ( http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.aspx?i=3023 ) I never shop at Newegg because i live in Europe, so i haven't looked into the payment-plans and such. If you can't find how much they take for assembling a custom computer you can call them.
  13. "Acer Aspire AM5100-U5313A Phenom X4 9500(2.2GHz) 3GB DDR2 500GB ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO Windows Vista Home Premium - Retail " http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6883103162 - 480$. Better computer, much cheaper. If you want to upgrade graphics on a branded computer, you usually need to upgrade the power supply too. What i'd do, is to build a computer from scratch. It get's cheaper, you have much more choices and you get better performance. But for 600 bucks, you can't get anything mega.. especially not pre-made computers. I think, if you want to play games, pick out computer parts. Either at a local store in your town, or at newegg and (if you don't know how to) ask them to assemble the computer.
  14. 94 hp and 116 combat =) 10 lvls to go until maxed! 94 hp/116cb [hide=94/116][/hide] 92 def [hide=92][/hide] Forgot to spray the last picture i see... Hm, too lazy to upload a new sprayed one lol.
  15. This. Honestly I doubt they'll tell a difference. They probably won't notice the difference, but dad always click on the icon, not the Key Board Short Cut, so he would not get on Firefox full stop. You can replace the icon with an IE7 icon =)
  16. Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower coming Stone Free (Experience album)
  17. I believe the speed setting differs from brands. When I got my 4850 fan speed was at 27% and I've known other people to have as low 20%. 4850/70 are built to handle high temps (tjc of 120 degrees I believe) but you also got to consider other pc parts, that aren't meant to handle such high temps. You can up the fan speed, and I did to lower temps to around 50 degrees (setting fan speed at 50%) but then noise level does come into consideration. Looking at that graph, 4850s @ around 6-70W? That seems a little too low to me. Anyways, power consumption is really only a minor consideration in the grand scheme of things, but a consideration nonetheless. Yep, differs between brands. Yes i know that, but if they aren't going 80+ you don't really need to worry too much (altho i personally would prefer higher fan noise and cooler temps). The fan-noise is something that never really bothered me. My C2D E4500 @ 2.5ghz with stock fan is at 2200rpm, little bit noise, yes, but not much. Don't you guys listen to music? lol. Sorry the graph is in swedish, it says:"Whole system with stock-frequencies (without screen)". Damn, i just bit myself in the mouth while eating a tomato -.-.
  18. It's Nvidia 8200 on it if i don't remember wrong. Will work great until you need to play Crysis or Far Cry 2 =) ^^ Why getting 4x1gb? Why not 1x4gb or 2x2gb? Remember that you need power supply, harddrive, cd/dvd drives etc.
  19. It really depends on what you consider most important in a graphics card. This generation ATI's offering (4850, 4870/X2) beat Nvidia's (260, 280 gtx) in terms of price/performance. But, the ATI's run hotter and consume more electricity when idle. Personally I'd go for a 4850 or 4870. I'd go with an ATI, especially considering this kick-[wagon] serie. They run hot, because the fan is only at 35% or something, they card can handle the heat and you don't hear the fan. And you can always up the fan more if you want to. 4850 is less power hungry than 9800GTX(+ too), and 4870 - GTX 260 only differs about 10c.
  20. Nice setup, I'm seriously considering that : . About the motherboard, can I install another graphics card even though it has integrated graphics? Also, are there any boards that have the same performance without the integrated graphics (yes, I know I'm cheap) Thanks alot  Yes, whenever you put in an a graphics-card to motherboard-x it will use the graphics card (unless you use something like crossfire-x for AMD), sometimes you might have to go into the bios and choose pci-e, but not often. I don't think they even make mobo's without integrated graphics any more, at least to my knowledge. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813185107 - 40$ (30 after rebate). But it seems it has some problems (looking at the reviews), and i've never heard of this brand so i dont' know if it's any good. But you can save a bit of money there. If you want to save money, AMD Athlon is the way to go. Example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103211 , Athlon X2 5000+ 2.6ghz - 59.50$ Motherboard for AMD cpu - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128333 - 49$ or if you want one with sockets am2/am2+ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813157125 - 45$ (funny, this one is cheaper and more future proof. If i'm not mistaken, this one will be able to handle the new 45nm Phenom CPU's coming next year if you'd like to upgrade to that later and keeping the motherboard).
  21. 92 attack. I'll get 116 combat today, 35k or so til 94 hp =) And about 130k til 92 def. [hide=92 attack][/hide] A Friend got 99 smithing yesterday [hide=99 smithing party][/hide]
  22. Some quick options here: Intel core 2 duo, E7200 2.53ghz, 3mb cache - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115052 -120$ (you can get cheaper, but then it goes to Pentium or Celeron ones which are much worse than C2D. You can also look at AMD's dual's... Altho i wouldn't atm buy one of those until they get out some with newer technology.) Foxconn motherboard(s): DDr2, 1066/800 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813186140 -50$ 667 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813186139 - 45$ PCI-E.. etc. (mATX because i don't know if a bigger model would work) RAM: Kingston 2gb DDR2 800mhz - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820134636 - 34$ Kingston 2gb DDR2 667mhz - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820134192 - 33$ (if you want something to overclock with or so you need to get more expensive memories, but these work fine. I have 2gb for my computer (kingston too lol), works great) XFX Nvidia 8800GT 512mb - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... GT%20512mb 130$ ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150316 , call of duty 4 included! Same card, same price) or Palit ATI HD4850 512mb - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814261027 - 170$ (very good version, Palit is a good brand+this card has a another fan than that on the reference design=cooler!) 334$ or 374$ wheter you choose 8800GT or 4850. Up to you. This is just something i picked out, since you wanted it a bit cheaper.
  23. Where did this come from and what the hell is it about? Anyways, Sloter said it.. lock.
  24. 512mb 8800GT version (or 9800GT, same card but manufactured with 55nm instead). Will work for a good while in the future. Tight budget? Get 8600gt ddr3 version. But you won't be disapointed with the 8800gt! =)
  25. I like it. Usually it's a tiny bit cheaper, goes much faster (i never buy games in town, always order online) and better for the environment. Just gotta make a copy or transfer to a 2nd drive for backup.
