=-=-Monkey Madness Sequal?-=-=
Well, you DO get to keep the 10th Squad Sigil and Zooknock does say if the 10th Squad requires your assistance, they'll _somhow_ commuicate using it. Maybe Zooknock can use the same summoning spell to get the entire squad together for a mission briefing. I don't believe any Monkey Madness sequel would happen on Ape Atoll. The island is very limiting and I'm seriously tired of quests that are underground 80% of the time.

a hint at a future postal system?
if that happened youd have to be in their friends list lol, i can imagine zezima waking up "oh wow new postal system" *logs on* "you have 16,275,856 unread messages" "oh noes" Well said. Or how about an in-game "mail box" that you can build for your POH? And the only way to leave a message is if the person you wish to message has you on their friend's list. Also, all other POH rules -- house portal lock -- applies. If your friend sets the option to not receive any messages when they're off-line, then you can't off-line message them. Another restriction is that you can only leave one message for only one friend at any time. If your friend doesn't have a POH, then obviously you can't leave a message for them.

About time to release the next plague city quest??
If somebody can reference this news post, then we can lock this thread.

a hint at a future postal system?
I wouldn't mind if we were able to send messages to off-line friends and that they can pick up the messages as soon as they log into the game.

World 56-the quest world!
The reasonable place for people to meet if they want to do a certain quest with a partner is at the quest start point. Why waste time travelling across the world to get to the quest start point when you can just be there and ready to roll?

What Did You Do On Your First Day On Runescape?
For my first day I went and started "Cook's Assistant". I was trying to find the windmill to grind some flour, got lost and died when a Highwayman attacked me. Those were good times.

Have the wannabe mods accused you yet?
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the ghostly robes untradable?

So, you want to get revenge on yew and rune ess autoers?
ya but do normal people keep coming back 50 times after i killed them each time :wall: No normal player would come back after the first time. At least I wouldn't go back after being slaughtered. Then again, I never go into the wild for anything.

Secrets of the tower of life.
I still think the blue floor is going to be a variation of the "fireplace puzzle" from Myst for a future quest.

Have the wannabe mods accused you yet?
I throw in my cash on that too I'm the same way I perfer the term Script Kiddies  I also do the same. The other day while killing Kalaphite (for slayer) Some lower levels came down to kill some also. They both had differnt tasks and didn't know where on earth to find them. I searched Tips beastairy and found both the monsters. The description of the location for one of the two monsters was much more complicated, so I had to answer further questions/give extra information. I don't mind lending a helping hand to someone who is polite and has common curtosy. Kids that run up saying "Wh3r3 r B1g b1gg m0ns73rs @?" I genrally ignore due to the fact that they don't take the time to form a proper sentence, so I don't feel the need to responde "Script kiddies", that was the term! I agree with the language butchering. It's not difficult to translate "1337 speak" to English but it is so annoying! I always bust the "1337 speaker's" chops for butchering the language and I would post grammatical corrections or spelling corrections. Of course, some of these kids simply ignore my messages and continue the butchering. The overuse of instant messaging shorthand is a problem that K-12 teachers have reported a few years ago. Although I cannot provide a reference, I believe some of you can agree to this point. PS: K-12 is kindergarten to grade 12 for those who don't know. I don't believe kindergarten kids know about instant messaging but it's a problem observed from pre-secondary teachers.

Nice! I wish you best of luck on that!

Why does runescape appeal to you?
D. Runescape has an inexpensive member subscription and very low hardware requirements. As long as you have a machine that can properly run the Sun Java Run-time Environment (JRE), you're a-oh! Spending several thousand dollars to get a new system just to play the latest and greatest game is not a justifiable use of money. Plus, it's the people you meet and the communities that form make the game appealling.

In-Game World Map (120+ Supporters! Pictures! Support Sigs!)
Off-Topic: I think you're referring to the Windows Java Virtual Machine (VM). That's totally obsolete since Windows ME and Windows XP. Instead, you should be using the Sun Microsystems Java Run-time Environment (JRE). Just make sure you uninstall the Windows Java VM before installing the Sun Java JRE or else then can interfere with each other. On-Topic: Good feature but is it absolutely necessary? It may be a better idea to add a map-reading or navigating part to Tutorial Island so that new players learn how to use the compass, mini-map and world map. The world map is also available as an JPEG (or whatever it is) from the Runescape Downloads page. This world map would not be interactive but would be a suitable alternative to opening the world map applet. I don't want to berate people but there's somebody on my friends list that's been playing for almost a year on the free worlds. In that time, he/she has not bothered to learn how to navigate through the free-world and still gets lost going from Lumbridge to Falador. Ok, maybe the getting lost between Lumbridge and Falador is a little exaggerated but it's ridiculous that he/she can't find anything. That takes "noob" to a new level.

Have the wannabe mods accused you yet?
Perhaps Jagex should have a team in their company to do behaviour/personality profiling before "hiring" a player as a player mod. This will help filter out immature players somehow becoming mods. Edit: I've just noticed that I made two consecutive posts and they both start with "Perhaps.."

Have the wannabe mods accused you yet?
Perhaps we shouldn't be calling them "wannabe mods" but "kiddy mods" instead. Of the many people I meet, I often help them with quests and answer their questions such as where's a good place to train a particular skill etc. I'm not a mod, I don't claim to be a mod but one of these people on my friends list said I should be a mod. I told him "thanks for the compliment" and I told him I'd be honored to be selected by Jagex as a mod. There are players out there who are not mods but are very knowledgable players and are willing to type out a few messages to answer other player's queries. These people should not be classified as "wannabe mods" as well since this would be very insulting to players who genuinely wish to help others become better players. Now, the "kiddy mods". I've derived this moniker from "kiddy scripters" aka amateur hackers with a small tool that they've found from an online source and do not understand the capabilities of the tool that they've obtained. We can say the same with the "kiddy mods" as players that do not understand the responsibilities of a player mod and are simply fooling themselves into thinking that if they report as many players as possible, they would be selected by Jagex and become a mod. That's my rant/two-cents.

Weekly Poll: Which RuneScape god do you follow?
Yeah, first post! I'm balanced skill trainer so I suppose I'm a Guthix follower. Alright, my sig clearly shows some of my skills are lagging behind but I'm slowly working on it.

Tip.It Times Presents: Guthix Skiller
During the 2001 Australian census, it was reported that more than 70,000 people reported their religion as "Jedi". Maybe these Australian's did that as a joke or perhaps they've becomed disillusioned with "mainstream" religions that believing in the Force is a viable alternative. You can read the Wikipedia article here: Jedi census phenomenon If people are so inclined to believe in a fictional religion, so be it. In the so-called "free worlds" we should believe in the freedoms of speech, thought and to practice one's religion, whatever it may be. George Lucus has also said during an interview (sorry, can't provide a reference), he based The Force loosely on Buddhism. I can continue but discussing religion is walking on thin ice.

Rc too slow exp
I agree with you. Great rewards come to those who earn it through blood, sweat and tears. The last few days I've decided to dedicate some time to making some money totally through the use of my skills. Monday (2 hours) -> mining pure essence (~1000) Tuesday (3 hours) -> chopping maple logs (~850) and fletching maple longs (u) Wednesday (3 to 4 hours) -> pick flax and spin bowstrings (~1000) and stringing maple longs (u) For Thursday (tonight) I'm going to finish stringing my maple longs and start on making nature runes. By Friday evening, I'll be rolling in some nice hard earned cash.

Blood Crafting?
It would be sweet if it is a Blood Altar update but I agree it would have made sense if the Blood Altar was in the Sanguinesti region, perhaps beneath Drakan Castle.
-
Is luring an acceptable practice?
You know, this is a wonderful idea but somehow I think this "game mechanic" would become too easily abused by the rule-breaking players. But if rule-abiding players were to report the scams/lures/etc of a particular rule-breaking players (with Jagex's report-it-only-if-you-see-it policy) then the rule-breaking player will eventually get a bounty placed on them. Similar to the white-skull but the bounty marking could be a red-skull, thus making this player a legitamite target even in non-Wilderness areas.

Using the Duelling ring? Excellent idea! I've never thought of that prior to you mentioning it. Kudos :)
