~Codguy's Blog~ OSRS - Quest Cape Completed
Interesting, I check my blog after a month and find a bunch of posts lol. Well, I haven't been playing as much recently, again. Got an Xbox 360 so some of my time has been with that. Plus my computer has been having problems. Fixed a problem where the wireless wifi connection wasn't working (my computer turned off the ability to get wireless signlas) but as soon as it got fixed, the HDD went to [cabbage] and keeps telling me a crash is imminent. So gonna have to get that fixed. Once I get my computer back, I should be getting into RS more. Really want to finish up 80/85 Dg and get a little better at it as well, on top of get 95 Smithing and maybe work on Mining/Agility/Hunter to get at least some 90s. Oh, and I think I've gotten about 92-95 just through assisting effigies and doing my own. 95 Runecrafting

A lot of the money came from the purple phat that I bought at 85m, and sold at 300m. So I'm playing a lot more now, just had a really busy term at school. Working on 99 Smithing at the moment. Will probably get 95 and then stop for a bit (while getting the SC points to finish off the 99 as well), because I'm about 10m shy of the money needed for 99 Smithing, and I'll let effigies get me some experience as well.

Abnormally low XP rates at ZMI?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGKM0h5fuLQ This is my video guide for ZMI. Skip to 45 seconds. You will get more xp/hour with an abyssal familiar, even with the change to how you can load your pouches from your bank screen. Use a bit more runes, but you still profit at your level. My video was done when I was 88 RC I think? And averaged 50-55k xp/hour (with 55k being my max at the time). This was without using mousekeys as well. I use them now, and at 94 RC would have a higher rate. A different pouch setup will increase your timings for emptying the pouches. If you have problems with healing (since you're using a bunyip), try using a Regen bracelet and rapid heal (or whatever the prayer is). Also use protection from range prayer too, and just recharge when needed at the altar near the ladder. I'd use mousekeys to do the withdrawing jump if you were to switch to the method I describe. Do what you want, but everything I mentioned will increase your xp/hour. P.S. The purple partyhat is required for decent xp/hour.

5th to complete shattered heart-grats message from mod maz
I knew you were one of the farthest along with this activity, but didn't realize you were the 5th to complete it! Grats! I <3: you.

Familiar
I personally get about 300 ess more per hour with a familiar, assuming using all 4 pouches. HOWEVER, you should not use a familiar if you only have 3 pouches, which is the case for the OP. Thus, Magpie I guess would be the best.

Werkin' on it. Been slow going for me lately. Just started school, and I started playing online Call of Duty 4 after like a year without playing it much. And I just got Commander (55) tonight, which is the best on the PC version, no prestige :( So did that in the last week and a half lol.

Zolo's Shattered Heart
I definitely see your point for the platebodies, however, it is referring to experience, not how fast you can get the rocks. So I personally would include that under experience, as it is one of the most practical methods (alongside things like smelting gold) and can yield a Strange rock. Understand where I'm coming from? I would still include the "I wouldn't recommend this as it's difficult to obtain the Strange rocks" bit, nonetheless. But it's totally up to you, obviously, as it's your guide lol. I know Blackjacking works myself, as I've done it every week for Strange rocks. It's still pickpocketing, you just have to use your Blackjack in order to knock out the Thug and then can pickpocket twice without failing. Hunting Grenwalls would work because it's box trapping. And at higher levels, Woodcutting at the Sawmill gets better, as you fail less often on the planks, as well as get more experience per job that you do. However, it's only slightly faster than Ivy from my experience, and takes up a lot more attention.

Zolo's Shattered Heart
After reading your guide, I'd say I love it. Great detail and depth. I like how you throw in the fastest ways to obtain the rocks, which can usually mean cheaper, but also which methods will give more experience. A few problems: Under Hunter: Fastest: The two ‘fastest’ ways can really depend on how lucky you are and your own personal preference. Grey Chinchompas with 4 or 5 traps can be fast, however the falconry (Spotted Kebbits are very fast, but Dark and Spotted give more experience). I believe you didn't quite finish the sentence, as it doesn't make sense (about the falconry). Another thing, under Firemaking and experience, Yew logs are slightly more expensive, however, it's only a 0.06 gp/xp difference at the current moment, and are more efficient as it's a tiny more expensive for about 10 more experience per log. So I'd list both as being about equal for experience. Magic logs, however, could be the alternative for extremely fast xp, albeit very expensive and not as practical. Make sure to note with Fletching and Experience, that the bows will not give strange rocks while stringing the bows, that is purely for experience and not the rocks. Another Hunter option for experience and gain in money, Pawyas and Grenwalls (better to hunt both at the same time, using a Fruit Bat with scrolls to get Papayas). Typo under Smithing: Experience: If you want a bit more experience then gold ore or iron knives; Just needs to be 'than.' Also under Smithing, I would say that smithing platebodies (mithril and adamant) should be considered more under experience than you implied. Because if you want the fastest experience, this is the way to go, so it should be be the top thing to do for experience, albeit more expensive than the other methods mentioned there. Thieving for experience, pickpocketing Menaphite Thugs are the best experience possible that will yield a Strange rock. You can get up to ~260-270k xp/hour at 99 Thieving, and still over 200k xp/hour at 80+. This should be mentioned, and is the only way I use to get Thieving Strange rocks. Woodcutting for experience, the Sawmill activity is NOT the fastest Woodcutting experience in the game, powercutting Teaks are, with around 100k xp/hour max, and Sawmill being about 80-85k max from my testing. Ivy is a bit slower than the Sawmill (at high levels) but requires very little attention. Anyways, just a few things I noticed that I feel should be added or corrected, but it's all up to you! :) So, great guide, and hope it even gets better in the future! Edit: Also, you should add in how much xp you get for adding rocks to the statue for each level, or link to a site that does. Tip.it has a list, which you could link to if you didn't want to put in all the numbers. And one more thing, I'd recommend using (in the formula for experience) X² rather than X(squared). To get that symbol, if you don't know, just press Alt+0178, and it will make a superscript 2.

Double Nats / Astrals..
Have any numbers to back that statement up? I'm not denying it, I'm just curious. I don't know anyone that RCs Deaths after they've reached 91. Usually either ZMI or Natures.
-
Double Nats / Astrals..
Deaths would probably be better until 91 Rc, and then double natures are the best money per hour after that. Remember, you can RC more ess per hour with a Graahk than through the abyss, and you're able to get better xp/hour and more profit/hour with double nats through Graahking. I get about 31k xp/hour when trying while Graahking, and no less than 29k even when completely relaxed.

I looked into this further, and found that all 3 god spells, Charge or not, give a base xp of 35. So, it should shortly show up on the site, and you've been credited. Thanks! Swedishboy7's blog! Going for all skills 80+!
I have to say, great job thus far with Runecrafting, and good luck to the very end! However, I'd really suggest using the 3 pouch method (Giant, Large, Medium). Much faster. With my times, about 200-300 ess faster per hour. Try to beat my best time, 3416 ess (6832 nats) in 59 minutes and 56 seconds :P I know competition gives me motivation, but not necessarily everyone haha. Nonetheless, good luck :D

Pouches
It really depends on the method. As crashnburn stated, if you are Graahking, use 3 pouches, your best 3. If you're doing anything else like Abyss or ZMI, then 4 pouches and a familiar. I haven't personally tested out Astrals yet though, about even is what I've heard. Through Abyss and ZMI, familiar with 4 pouches is faster by around 300-400 ess per hour from my results, than 3 pouches. Graahk can get about the same result with 3 pouches over 4 pouches.
