Guys, no need to argue. And sorry robertr1, but Paw_Claw is correct. Sorry if there's some sort of misunderstanding, but this isn't the place to be arguing. Nonetheless, I'm unsure as to why the different experience gain for the original poster, MARRSVISION. Are you certain you're getting 18 xp?
  2. Yeah while mining if you just have Varrock armor and some sort of platelegs, as well as EE, you'll be just fine. I usually bring down more, since the weight isn't an issue while mining. But I'd probably bring a bit of armor, in case you go afk or something.
  3. Well, have made use of the first 4 hours of the bonus weekend. Had ~4.5k crimsons, 3.2k golds, 900 greens, and 200 blues. Ended up getting 90-97 Summoning in less than 3 hours, getting about 5.4m xp. So now I'm 137 combat, and close to another 99 :P Will spend the next few weeks mainly slaying to finish up Summoning. Then got 91 Herblore from 90 with a few Recover Special pots, and now working on 90-92 Fm on Yews, with 1.7x multiplier at the moment. I hate Fming, so it's tough for me, even with a maximum xp/hour at about 480k... Just an awful skill. But, will finally get it. And after 92 Fm, will probably just work on Agility for the rest of the weekend. I think I'll post some pictures of level ups tomorrow, just for a little change :P
  4. Interesting. I've never personally seen that either. I think your account is rigged :P So, I believe that these are just bugs/glitches in the Activity. Weird coincidence that you'd get two though. Anyways, I'll leave the thread unlocked for a little while longer in the event that it happens again, or someone else can account for it happening as well. But I'm assuming since they only occurred the one time, for each one, it's probably not meant to happen.
  5. Moocky is completely correct. I dislike it, but that's what you need to change in order to move your cursor twice or more in a short amount of time from each other. So if you drop more than 1 item at once, or if you're moving back and forth, such as in your case, then you need to take that option off.
  6. Well, just got 96 Summoning today myself, well, actually 97. So after reading a lot of these comments, it made me realize how happy I should be :D Got the second best fighting familiar, best healing familiar, and best BoB familiar. Hehe. I think I'd personally bank bones/hides on a dragon task, especially if it's Kuradal's Dungeon. Just using up a lot of scrolls to bank them all, plus it only takes about a minute to bank at Kuradal's Dungeon lol. But also, Pack Yak for Rune mining and training Prayer. And lots of gathering activities as well. I know people who use the scrolls to bank Rocktails when fishing, and I know someone who WCs Mahogany logs in TWB (I think that's right...) area with a Pack Yak, to reduce the amount of times he runs to bank them.
  7. Wow that's weird. Even though it's the correct link, it just sends you to youtube. And yes, I checked, it's the same URL. Anyways, look up 'Superheating while smelting' and it's the first result. Still up, by the way. Max superheating is about 1,800 bars per hour, and this method can get about 300 more then per hour. Basically, you smelt, and every 2 bars, you cast superheat, so you're basically getting 2,100 bars instead of 1,400 (smelting) per hour.
  8. Ah, I believe the max is around 1,400 per hour. However, expect 1,100-1,300, because we usually aren't paying 100% attention while doing things like smelting :P And I would recommend using the Edgeville furnace.
  9. I could take a crack at some of this, but don't have the time right now, so I believe Morionic and Zaaps, as well as any other contributors have gotten it down. And just wanted to throw out one more idea: If you want to take the gold route, you can also smelt gold, while superheating. You can view how to do it by viewing Zarfot's video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy-Tra5zouw. You can get up to about 2,100 gold ores smelted per hour, with about 118k xp/hour. I'd figure out the math behind cost efficiency, but as I mentioned, don't really have the time right now. I'd personally get to 88 Smithing with whatever method you want, as you're so close, and then do Adamant Platebodies, with or without SC until 99. From 90-99, you'll save about 4 hours, from my experience, by not using SC hammers, however, you end up losing quite a bit of money. I just did a rough, quick calculation, and in order for not using SC with Smithing to be cost efficient, you have to value your time at approximately 14.3m/hour. So, not doing SC is faster, but a lot more expensive. Personally, I'll be using SC :P even though I hate it.
  10. Dang, I got beaten to it before I could make it back. Also, if you don't like SC, then you can take that into the matter. Such that losing a bit extra gp/xp will still be worth it as long as you're not playing SC. However, it all depends on what you prefer. Personally, I'd choose to lose a little extra money as long as I wasn't playing SC, but still at the point that 1.1x multiplier isn't enough of a xp bonus to smith without SC. But in terms of efficiency with gp/xp, Morionic is completely correct.
  11. I've done some calculations on this, and it solely depends on how much money you make per hour, and how how much money you value your time at per hour. I'm going to class right now, so if you reply, I won't respond for a while, but if I get back and it hasn't been answered, I can help out.
  12. And here's what I think is the difference between legal and unlegal. If you press the mouse button (or the 5 and + button) as fast you can for cleaning, then it's legal, and just clicking skills. But if you hold in a button, and that counts as a lot of repeated clicks, that would be against the rules. In the gray zone, but still against the rules. And to be even more specific: If you are to hold down a button while typing, such as holding down a certain letter, you'll notice that the letters will be typed, but only at a certain rate. This is essentially what's being done in the video, HOWEVER, it is being done by programming the mouse, while holding down the button, to click at a rate of 9000x the normal rate. To me, this is the part that sounds fishy to me. Also, while watching the video a few times, I was not under the impression that the video maker was moving his mouse, but either had something that was programmed to move in a certain way, or was using mousekeys to jump to each column. Remember, he was able to move over all 28 herbs (although, not entirely sure, but looked like he only did 24 herbs per inventory) within 0.9 seconds apparently, and doing it accurately, as to not miss one. So, overall it sounds a bit fishy to me. But I still am 100% sure that the mouse is perfectly legal, however, the way it's being used makes it seem like there's more than meets the eye. And also, as atestarossa mentioned about the video by spiritgerm, which I posted earlier this in thread, the same thing is being done, but in a different fashion. He is doing the same thing to hold down a button/key on the mouse, which allows to click constantly. However, it is clear that he is manually moving his mouse around, and is not using the 9000x click rate, and most probably a 1x click rate. This seems perfectly legal to me.
  13. they will still work, they just won't receive the full benefit of the 2.7x multiplier so gold gauntlets give a 2.5x bonus so for the first hour you'll still receive 2.7x but after that you'll only receive 2.5x, something like that Wrong. As confirmed in the QA about it they will not work. As with all other xp boosters that do not work they IGNORE the boost and look instead to the bonus weekend xp. So you'll start at 2.7x normal gold xp and go down to 1.1x normal gold xp regardless of gauntlets or not Correct. We won't be seeing the use of Gauntlets, SC, BA Horn, or anything of the sort. Even the 1.1x overrides all items that give bonus xp. However, if you happen to use a SC tool, it won't degrade.
  14. Well, I'm actually curious if this is a bug. I've never experienced this before. And you just said that it's only happened that one time (if I'm correct by your implications) and have tried other times to see if the Undead Lumberjacks would spawn on that event, and never did (except for that time). If that's correct, that it seems more like a bug/glitch in the Activity, rather than something that is supposed to happen. If you encounter it again, please tell us. This would be interesting if this proves not to be a bug/glitch.
  15. Codguy replied to lcchs's topic in Help and Advice
Ah, ZMI. Yes, it should give the bonus xp during the weekend. There's no reason for it not to. And for xp/hour... Well, it depends on a lot of things. Your concentration, speed of RCing, mousekeys or not, RC level, full bank or not, and pouches. From 85-91 RC, without mousekeys, I got about 55k xp/hour, which you can view how I did it through my . With mousekeys, I wouldn't be surprised if I could get close to 60k xp/hour. There are of course other guides on how to do it efficiently, but it's one I've personally made, so I can vouch for it :P However, most people tell me that they get around 40k xp/hour around level 80, which seems like a decent average for most people. So 40-45k xp maybe.
  16. I'd love to be able to attend this. But at the same time, odds of winning are slim to none. So I'm just going to ignore it lol :P
  17. As mentioned by Olly, it seems as if the video is showing unfair gaming by use of a macro. I'm unaware of how to program something that can make an action, such as cleaning an inventory of herbs or dropping an inventory of items in 0.9 seconds. However, the thought behind using a high tech gaming mouse to use programmable buttons and keys is legit, and is used by a lot of high leveled players. I will probably be making the G5 mouse as my next mouse, for more of a gamer's perspective. However, for a video that shows how cleaning herbs with the use of mousekeys/mouse should look like, the first few minutes of this video will demonstrate it. http://www.youtube.com/user/spiritgerm#p/u/4/gryRTDTfE4o It's clearly showing a different action in this video. Anyways, the mouse should be legal to use, however, I believe in the video posted by the OP, there is some illegal play involved. That is at least my opinion, and I hope that Jagex at least looks into the video a little bit more.
  18. Isn't that the item rumored to create the gree gree of the gorilla with the blue face? Pure speculation here of course. @SportGuy - I'm not familiar with Impetuous Impulses from before the update. I never really did it. You are totally correct! I used it for another greegree and it does create the gorilla with the blue face...not a rumor after all! thanks for your help! Do you happen to have a picture of any of this? And if you made the Gree Gree, could you take a picture of this for us? It would help us out a lot!
  19. lordkafei, I see what you mean. I believe something didn't completely get converted when switching all the HP -> LP and ratios, etc. I've noticed there have been some other monsters in the Bestiary Database that have incorrect ratios as well. So we'll be looking into this and see what we can do. Obviously, the ratios should all be 10x what they used to be, since LP is HPx10, while the level of the monsters have stayed the same. So, as I've said, we'll be looking into this. Thanks for noticing this, because of your submission, we've noticed other monsters that have ratios that are incorrect. I'll be leaving this open until we fix the problem, just in case anything comes up. -Codguy
  20. Thank you for your concern jw125. We've noticed that some of the ratios are incorrect in the Bestiary Database, and we're currently looking into it. However, I would like to ask. What do you mean about moving the decimal point to the left? An example would be the Living Rock Patriarch: Level of 200, with 4,000 Life Points. This would make the ratio as 4,000/200 to be 20. So by moving the decimal point to the left by 1 digit, that would make the ratio 2. Is this what you're implying? Because currently, as far as I can tell, the ratios that are incorrect, are the ones that are still HP/level, rather than the LP/level that we've been converting. -Codguy
  21. This is correct. However, thanks for your concern about the item 1337inside, and trying to give us the best information possible! I will be locking this thread since everything is already solved. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me. -Codguy
  22. You can also kill the Saradomin Spiritual Warriors in the main area, as they will attack Zamorak monsters, and be attacked as well, which will mean less damage taken. Not saying it's necessarily the fastest, but it's something to consider.
  23. It's pretty easy to buy them at max on the GE if you get your offer in early. But other than that, the above options are probably the best ways. I usually pick up a few every time I do a WFS trip as well. So lots of Crimsons + profit + water talismans = good.
  24. Just for another person's opinion, this noob's response is pretty accurate :D
