  1. cuz im an oregon state fanatic dur

    go beavs amirite

  2. Well I'll be the first to suggest Slayer. It's a great way to train over time, and can earn a lot of money. However, other ideas could be Dust Devils, Armoured Zombies, Abyssal Demons, and the like. I'd personally suggest Slayer though *whistles innocently*
  3. Might be a decent id, since I've been making 1.2k laws & almost as much deaths. Will change to nats I guess... And btw I hate purple ;) I really doubt it matters which runes you make, at least the normal ones. And it took me around 3k ess to get the second rock. So just keep doing whatever you prefer. And you lie, everyone loves purple.
  4. Attack decreases the chance of hitting a 0, but you will always have the chance to hit it. However, with the new update, it just means that some of the 0s we would previously hit, will now be between 1-9.
  5. I just got my Runecrafting rocks last night, so I can confirm that you can do it while at the Nature Atlar. The first rock was received in a couple Graahk runs, and the second run was probably received after about an hour of Rcing.
  6. The formula is (x*(x-1))+(100-x) I sussed out like first day and submitted it to them with a full list of all 99 xp values. This was proven right as all 25 or so submissions matched my predicted values exactly and thus my values were used for the lower levels where no-one submitted data If you simplify your equation Paw_Claw, you actually get the same exact equation as Monkeyguy789, so you're both correct :P Now I do agree that it would be better if we added in all the values, however, it's not necessary. But I'll ask around and have other Crew members post here to express their opinion on the matter. And I do agree that in the table that we currently have in the guide, it'd be better to list them 1-10, 11-20, etc. So I will definitely support that.
  7. just thought you might like to know... if you use this address: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?max_hit_calc (which is the address google still points you to, and what ff users get when they type "rune tips max hit" into the address bar...) you get the un-updated calculator... why these to addresses link to two different calculators, idk... but since google is linking to this address, you might want to look at that We have actually noticed this with a lot of our recently updated pages on Tip.It. So we have already discussed it and will be looking into it! :)
  8. I've heard about getting different experience for monsters such as dragons and monsters, which I'll test out sometime. However, I was just testing out at Abyssal Demons and got exactly 0.4 xp per damage (same as 4 xp per damage in the old system). Just to give a bit of insight.
  9. Oh I didn't even realize it! I was testing out if I could fletch bolts and rc at the same time. It got boring and was a bit too difficult to do. So I probably ended up not paying much attention then haha :P OMFG I AM.
  10. theflandaddy, Thank you for submitting this correction to us. However, it seems as if it was either already fixed prior to your submission and you missed a decimal, or it was changed after your submission. Nonetheless, thank you for looking out for these kinds of things :) If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to PM me. -Codguy
  11. Dragon picks are definitely worth it, especially if you sell it back after you're done mining. As people have mentioned, it's about 15% better than rune. Also, Stealing Creation picks only last a bit more than 16k xp, giving a bonus just over 8k xp. So they are not worth it.
  12. With magic secateurs, expect a 6.5-7 herbs per patch if you use the Trollheim patch as well. I personally am experiencing a ~7 herbs average right now.
  13. We both play Runescape? Oh, that must be it. Nothing to do with the color purple.
  14. Hehe, thanks! :) Already put in. Hopefully senior crew doesn't realize it so I don't get fired :P owait, ur 2 newb 4 dat so i didnt actualy do eet. Thanks so much Tripsis! :D Well feel free to, it's a great place to hang out! You sir, heard correctly.
  15. You don't need to use Veracs or Range/Mage against the second form. The melee protection prayer just means that it has a very high defence (not positive that it reduces your max hit like prayer against players does). But because of this, I know I can still whip through it just fine, but obviously harder than the first form. So it's your choice. And I recommend melee armor with mage protection prayer.
  16. This, however, would be implying that making the potions are twice as fast with a stackable 2nd ingredient. The only thing being sped up due to less time banking. Since you get to sit through 27 potions being made, rather than 14. So the amount of banking is cut in half, making it increase by about 300 potions per hour, not 2k.
  17. Oh, it seems as if we have something in common :P
  18. They have similar crush offensive bonuses (yes, ZS is slightly higher), however, the strength bonus from the Saradomin Sword has been proven to be more effective against WFS. But, there really isn't that much of a difference, but nonetheless, there is one still :P
  19. I only use either Void or Karil's at WFS. It you have the money, go for it. If you don't want it later, then just sell it back. But it will really help out your defence against them. And technically Saradomin Sword is better than Zamorakian Spear, but it's very close :P Your ZS will work great.
  20. I'm fairy certain the Hexcrest is supposed to increas max hit as well. Have you compared the Hexcrest on monters that both require a Slayer Level, and those that don't? Ah yes, I forgot to mention that I was going to include this in my new test. However, it shouldn't make a difference. Now, looking at the previous post, it's interesting that I was unable to come up with a better max hit with mage even though Mod Emilee said that you're supposed to. Fun
  21. I can confirm some rumors for you, as I've done specific testing about this, and still have a bit more to do, especially with the new Life Points update (will change max hits, and will make things more precise, hopefully). Both the Focus Sight and Hexcrest work on any slayer task, no matter what monster it is. I had a task of Black demons, and noticed an obvious boost with both, using the exact same Ranged and Magic offensive bonuses (tested without Hex/Focus and used a helmet that provided +3 to Ranged/Magic) to provide the most accurate comparisons. The Focus Sight increases 15% accuracy as well as max hit to you as long as you are fighting a monster while on task. The Hexcrest increases 15% accuracy to your magic while fighting a monster on task. It does not affect the max hit. Now, I need to test more on the accuracy of Hexcrest, as I was getting about 10% for my tests, however, I can only assume... But the rumor of which monsters they affect is confirmed, any monster while on task :)
  22. Using some rough calculations and numbers, I got the following: Normally, making potions from unfinished, you can get about 2,200 potions made per hour Each bank is roughly 4 seconds, I just took a number that seemed fitting for most players. This will save a little over 5 minutes, which will in turn allow approximately 300 more potions per hour. So, I'd say about 2,500 potions per hour, if you have them all unfinished and all the seconds.
  23. The Tip.It max hit calculator is up and running just fine now, in regards to the beginning of the thread :) Didn't take long for it to be multiplied by 10! Interesting enough, there are other things, like poison and unicorn scrolls that are showing different numbers than we'd expect. Well, unicorn scrolls not quite, as they're 15%, which at 99 = 14.85, or 148.5 in the new system (rounded down to 148). However, we're now shown exactly how poison works! I went to check out the difference in poison now, and testing it out on a friend in the Duel Arena, we noticed how it all worked. The beginning damage is 68, and then each subsequent damage was 2 LP less each time. So the poison started at 68, then reduced to 66 the next time, 64, 62, and so on. However, the last damage dealt due to poison was 10 damage, and then you were no longer poisoned. In the long run, if you were to not cure yourself, or get re-poisoned, then you end up losing an extra 20 damage (2 damage in the old system) because of the change! Haha, not a big difference though :P Interesting to find out how some of these things work, now that Jagex has essentially released the decimals of numbers into the game.
