  1. This topic is to discuss the possible, eventual relese of the Dragon Kiteshield. We've had the Dragon Square Shield for how long? I've got a shield half in my inv' but cba to pay the 700k or whatever to make the thing complete. It dosn't seem worth it to me. Anyway OT. Has the time passed to release the much fabled Dragon Kite? When the Dragon Plate came out I remember lots of people thought that it was too long a gap between dragon armour releases and baiscally interest had wained. Personally I'd like to see a D Kite, naturally with decent defence stats (better or worse than DFS?) and preferably with a Dragonkin story line and mega quest to complete before successful ownership. Would you want one? At what cost? and what do you think will be the neccessary adventure to enable you to yield one?
  2. With reference to the QC requirements, see below the list which I think is up to date. The fact that this cape is never secure on your back is what makes it a 'must-have' for me. Even today I could log in and find the message "Your QC unequips because you have no longer completed all of the quests". Occasionally, it is followed by a bit of grinding to secure 'ole bluey' as part of my daily apparel. I think the hardest grind was smithing when I was only 62 and needed 69 and I had no spare coins =/ Levels required to complete every quest Total level: 1520 Attack 75 Constitution ---- Mining 66 Strength 75 Agility 69 Smithing 69 Defence 65 Herblore 65 Fishing 62 Ranged 75 Thieving 66 Cooking 70 Prayer 70 Crafting 66 Firemaking 61 Magic 75 Fletching 70 Woodcutting 75 Runecrafting 50 Slayer 65 Farming 65 Construction 60 Hunter 65 Summoning 41 Dungeoneering ---- Combat level 85 Q. Pts 270 --- Temporary boosts may be used in some quests
  3. I like BTS, at least you kinda know what's coming and can then look forward (without too much anticipation) to the updates. Nothing worse than..... BOSH!!!...... Have a go at a dude called Nomad. Whaaaa?!?
  4. what's 5:1, 5:3, 5:5? #-o
  5. It has already been confirmed long ago that jagex are infact working and have been working on saving your progress on solo dungeons, however, it's not a small project and it's not confirmed to be launches with B2. Also, you are a baby dungeoneer and barely even know how to efficently do dungeons at your level(no offence, i wasn't too good at that level either) so it's next to worthless posting figures from that progress- The people who do 8 minute dungeons are nearly maxed, have atleast 2 great items bound(most likely prom spear/plate, atleast that's best for solo) and are efficient in completing puzzles, know the bosses weaknesses. "Baby Dungeoneer" I like that  Probably need to team with an experienced Dung-Buddy, no wait...... that came out wrong
  6. OK, OK, i'll wind my neck in! Just for clarity, I solo members dungeon. It seems like i'm an inexperienced newbie at this dungeoneering lark. It honestly took me 90 minutes last time. Also, I might add that I've only achieved 9 levels by playing the 'skill', the rest was levelled using Juna. I'm working to get my prestige up atm, which is only 5, therefore my xp is horrible but is better on C6. I suppose the dilemma is whether to make prestige gain the number one priority, over short-term experience loss. I'll not comment further but gather information from the discussion. I still maintain that I'd like to log back in where I left off.
  7. I would challenge that statement as complete and utter tosh! Are you one of those who runs around just opening doors? It can take several minutes to finish the boss. My CB level is 20 higher than yours and you say you can do it 70 minutes quicker. Do me a favour, dont post nonsense. There's a natural human tendency to exaggerate how much time it takes to do things, biased towards whether the person feels they can do it quickly or slowly. Most people notice more the attempts that support their theories and less the ones that do not. They then extrapolate these "perfect" or "worst case" examples and claim them to be averages. This is how you get some people saying it takes 10 minutes to do a C6 solo dungeon (which is false) and some saying it takes 90 minutes (also false). Thanks for the lecture on human psychology - NOT - Unfortunately for you and your theories, my natural tendancy is not to exaggerate. I can assure you, and please don't call me a liar again, :shame: that it took me 90 minutes the other night to do one floor at C6. Granted I made a few arrows, smithed a plate and a skirt and cooked fish for the final battle but 90 minutes on the clock. I know this because I had to move my car before my significant other came back at 9pm and I logged in just before 7:30pm. My quickest time is 65 minutes and as I mentioned I tend to kill everything and open all doors within my skill level. Of course my original point was the wish for saved progress to be added into batch 2 of updates. As I said, there's nothing more annoying than getting AFK only to find you're back outside. I can't see that wish coming to fruition unfortunately. :-|

  9. I have solo'd to LVL 29 and I have to admit, it has been long and slow. I honestly intend to use Juna to level from now on with only the occasional foray into the dungeons. Why's that? Well I'll tell you. It can take me 90 minutes to complete a complexity 6 dungeon, opening every door, killing every monster etc. and what if I need to move my car, answer the door / phone / partner, go for a pee? I'll tell you what, it's 'cos I come back to the log in screen and i hav to start aaaallllll over again. Gah! Suggestion: batch II, make it so that you can save your progress ffs
  10. I just checked GE price for Santa: 102.1M  Last time I looked, just after Xmas they were 32M WTF happened? I lol'ed 'cos I bought two last year for 7.5M each
  11. People doing the quest first time find it confusing - you might not seeing as you have 136, and you've doubtless trained in the dungeon before. Eh? All I had to do was click about three times and watch my guy get yelled at by chin trainers. I mean seriously, it IS a straight line. Its LONG, and i did it when people considered hunting to be like sailing, a skill that would NEVER exist. Back when i did it (sometime in 05) seeing a lvl 100+ was still a semi rare sight, most members were below lvl 90 combat. Also getting 43 prayer was a lot harder back then. Like 2 people even knew about ectofunctus but even the ones who did could tell that it was a long process to get even 43 prayer. So combine the low combat lvl of most runescape players, the hardness of getting 43 prayer, and the fact at this time only the top slayers/party hat owners had access to whips. Monkey madness was probably one of the hardest quests released for its audience. That demon at the end may be a joke now, but at the time for your average player he was a beast. (and dont get me started on the one from legends quest...) Oh yea did i mention i was 60ish when i did it, and it took me 14 hours. Also there was no home port, if you forgot to bring tele runes and you were stuck in the jail, guess what you truly were stuck there. +1 I got stuck in the jail with no tele' runes and of course at the time, no home tele'. I had to bribe someone to bring me runes from outside the jail, which took ages. Talk about waiting for a bus! And the tunnel.... that was scary. Run energy didn't last 1/4 that it does now and with no map to guide you through and rocks fallin' on me 'ead, i really thought I'd get stuck in there too. The demon took me three attempts, until i found the place, you know, to range from. Anyone ever rubbed that sigil since completing the quest? I gotta admit, I still won't dare to do it! :ohnoes:
  12. Thanks for the help guys. The gatestone thing is the way to prevent him from healing when you go back. For those who may be reading this topic and being a Dung-Newb like me, take a gatestone and drop it in front of his food. That way you can continue the fight where you left off. If you re-enter the room after dying, he just heals up and you're back where you started. However, i reset complexity to 2 and did floors 1,2,3 and i got him each time as the boss. These times he was much less, something like 108cb instead of the 248 i had encountered on previous fails. I'm getting the hang of this now. Seems so overly complicated, new foods, armour, weps. Everything is so unfamiliar and there are no icons to point out the skilling areas. I'm averaging 50xp per room atm  My prestige is a massive 3! Hope to get levelling soon but it takes so long...... Oh, and i didn't realise, dropped items don't disappear lol.
  13. I think the complexity setting is the key to it. At my level (5) and completing floors 1 & 2 starting from complexity 1 it should be easy. Having already completed floor 1 and 2 a couple of times, I noticed my complexity defaults to 4, so I will reset to 1 and see if it's any easier. I hope so or i'll be stuck on floor 2 forever :ohnoes:
  14. C'mon Scooby. read the post. It's like level 248 and knocking lumps outa me. I get it to 50% health then run out of prayer / food. Gatestone is my next move, at least it wont heal before i get between its food. Should it be this hard on floor 2???? How the hell am i gonna progress at this rate.
  15. Thx but trust me, i'm getting seriously owned. Decent armour decent food. I'll try the gatestone idea. not sure if i can do that at lvl 5. certainly cant summon.....
  16. I tried this dude in a duo team and we got owned four times in a row. Not being one to give up easily, i went back solo on floor 2 and met him again lvl 248 or close to that. I used whatever melee weapon i had, a b/axe i think with mage protect and peity. i got owned 3 times more. Used up all food, all coins. So question is: how to beat him? advice please. This is floor 2 ffs!!! I'm begining to hate this 'minigame' with a passion. Edit: Yes i stood in front of his food to prevent healing
  17. I have not even tried the 'skill' as yet, but looks like I'll be using this mini-guide for noobs
  18. The rollback will be to right before the system update earlier today. Hopefully this helps those of you who apparently forgot to put on their glasses today. Yea alright Nubcake! DON'T SHOUT! this is what the home page said: "A recent update for the Dungeoneering skill has generated a bug that causes significant increases in how much XP players were gaining. As a result, we shall temporarily be closing down the servers until this issue can be resolved. When the servers come back up (with this bug fixed), we shall also be rolling back everyones entire save game state to the point before this bug was introduced (which should be no more than about 30 minutes worth). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause." Obviously you found another source of information.
  19. [urgh...... When do you think they will rollback from? I just got 80 thief last night
  20. Imagine a cardboard box running Windows 98 and a fat kid sitting on a wooden chair. There's my set-up for ya. Now that's funny. I'll post my rig when i get home.
  21. I have a cut onyx gem in my bank and it says on the GE it's worth 9.6M. You guys are talking about 70M  Forgive my noobiness, but how does that work? i stroll along to W2 or something and shout 'selling Onyx gem!' What am i likely to see in exchange for it?
  22. Quick tele to S W?
  23. The thing is, as said countless times before, it wasn't an earthquake. Nothing shook, people just floated in the air surrounded by red mist. While it could still be Dragonkin related, the strykeworm theory makes no sense at all. I beg to differ. My recollection was that the earth shook, there was a rumbling noise and everyone was leveitated into a 'Jump For Joy' like emote with a red mist underneath. Don't misunderstand me, i'm not saying earthquake, but I definately remember the screen shaking. (And it wasn't me farting either  ) I personally think that interest has now waned due to the delay and non-repeat of the event. About as interesting currently as a dragon plate.
  24. Lol would be like dumb [bleep]ing brits to make a rare drop not in the rare drop table, but it says when rolling for a rare drop it removes the no drop space's. Eitherway I never use the Row and I use the Z ring. IDGAF about the RoW. The Op asked if he should use one a recomened he shouldn't, in the first place. If you think they mean that the Whip is a common drop than okay, but whats the difference of a rare drop table and rare drops only dropped by specific npc's? I don't think they meant it dosen't effect whips because there only dropped by demons, just that there special rare drop not dropped on list of the shared npc's. But i never use it i still believe in killing more gets more drops. and if they effect the npc's it removes a unstated amount of dud space's. could be all could be one could be precent of 1, i don't use never plan on using never seen it make a difference. For a start I find the statement from JaGex ambiguous to say the least. I read it as the chances of a rare drop are enhanced and the chances of a non-drop removed. Secondly, stop with the Brit-bashing. They created a game that you play. Says something doesn't it? BTW your English grammar is appalling, but probably better than my Elbonian or where ever it is you reside. Thirdly and more importantly on-topic. I thought the guy asked for Abby Demon advice. Your set up is fine. They don't hit too hard and Bunyip is a must. Defence pot would help with your Def' level.
  25. Bandos? Torags? Porche? Volvo? Hmm.... #-o
