  1. The effect is always random, you can go many attacks without healing, and then other times heal 3-4 hits in a row. As long as you have all 4 pieces of the set on, it will always have a chance to heal regardless of other items you have on. It is not a definite thing and so it may just be unlucky you haven't gotten the healing hit. Just keep on trying, you will hit a healing hit eventually.
  2. Very nice on that dragon armor slice and completing the Grandmaster quest. Have fun doing a bit of Sara GW. I always enjoyed a bit of Saradomin trips, never got a drop though  Anyways, looking good on all your achievements, hopefully you will be getting alot more. Have fun in future RS-goals. 9/10
  3. Personally, I already had 97 Fletching when they released skill capes, and since I was so close I just decided I could make some money and get a 99 that I had already worked on for a long time. Even so, I hardly do fletching now because it is hardly profitable anymore. It was the main reason I trained Fletching, and so, I didn't "like" fletching, but it made me money and so I used it as a source of income. The cape was just a small temptation to gather the last 2m or so experience and achieve 99. Now, people simply train the skill to have a 99 cape, and so that is why certain skills are known as how you put "noob skillcapes" because they generally are buyable, fairly cheap for a skill, and don't take much work or concentration. Yes, they still are skillcapes, but the way most people obtain them now is not so worthy of receiving them. Also remember that this was before the grand exchange, and so the capes were really a large influx of the bot harvesting materials for skills, where dragon bones, yew logs, bow strings and other materials hit their all time low in prices. So, the skills were actually alot cheaper than they are now, and the way prices worked, people actually made money from cooking and fletching at first. I did, and turned around 14m to 21m from fletching, got my skill cape and a santa hat. Also noting the above posts, magic and prayer can be considered "noob" if you look at them quickly, but if you realize how much money and time you must put into them as well as a nearly 0 return in these skills, you can realize why not many people go for 99 in these skills. Prayer is a little over 100m to gain 99 at the prices I believe, and has a 0 return, so all 100m+ of your cash going into that skill is never coming back. Magic is the same, however alching can give a small return, but in essence, you are losing a good deal of cash because prices make alchables cost around the same as their alch prices, and you still need nature runes, so the nature rune cash is not going to be turning profit at all. Makes me remember buying alchs to alch for profit and sitting down at the duel arena for hours watching duels and making cash. Good times.
  4. IDK if it is in the quest or not since I cannot do the quest, but the symbol that is on the floor between the 3 figures can also be found in the deep wild. If you use jennica's ring in the deep wilderness where the ruined castle is (i believe level 45 wild) also the spot where the Steel War 2 took place, if you go through the portal, then on the wall directly south of where you go through to the spirit realm you can see that exact symbol on the wall. Again, I'm not sure if that it is in the quest or it is a hidden thing for a future quest, but all I know if I remember seeing the same symbol there on the wall.
  5. Wow, that is simply amazing, on the rewards for that quest. Any idea on exactly what the dragon metal lump does? A definite 10/10 for completing the quest, and seriously, 65-70 in 10 seconds sounds like a lot of fun :
  6. Moved to Tech&Computers. hopefully you can get better help here.
  7. Yeah, it took almost another week just to finish up my thinking about whether I should quit or not, and trust me, I've been really thinking about it alot. Most of all, I'm gonna miss the guys in GWD Anonymous. You guys definitely brought new life to the game back when I originally wanted to quit, and brought me back to stay for a whole 6 months more.
  8. Well after nearly 4 years of on/off playing, as well as many long nights of playing, the day has finally come for me to retire. It has definitely been a blast playing Runescape with all my good friends that I have made, and especially with the great tip.it community, but over the past 2 months I have felt the need to play less and less, not to mention that I know have a job and do alot more off the computer and so, I think the time has come to quit. I may come back to play when new updates come out or check out the new stuff they have to offer, but until then, I take my leave. [hide=My Final Bank]Also note that I have an Easter egg in the GE selling[/hide] [hide=Some of my best accomplishments]85 Slayer Best Spirit Mage trip 1st and only Hilt split Draconic Visage drop D2H from KQ KBD Heads 90 Magic Buying my First Rare My first Rare 99 Fletching BoB before 99 Fletching [/hide] [hide=My first ever Bank pic][/hide] Now I gotta give a shout-out to all of my good friends: Spirallance1- definitely the best, stuck with me when everyone else quit Skaterscoot6- made Runescape fun even when everything was boring Triplewich- awesome guy, always tried to get people active in Boss trips Stealth117- made one of the best clans, also one amazing guy Sparky1_2007- knew how to have fun while keeping control, you rock Musky44- Another amazing guy, always made #gwda extra fun Haz_280- This guy is the MAN, nuff said Creator288- definitely is one of the toughest guys I knew in RS, always ready for anything Puuuuuuuuure1(might not be right amount of u's)- Your just one crazy guy, made Pk-ing fun Kuroudo2- This guy is just one of the craziest guys in all of RS. knew how to really shake up IRC Brunokiller- Always was fun bringing you along on GWD trips, kept your cool about you Darkmage3191- Remember stringing the bows? 9. Honestly, I can't say it is absolute proof of the stone, however, It is a very good find, since probably not many people look at the background of the button theyporess to play runescape. I know I don't. Anyways, It could also be numerous things, most of all possibly just a design that they thought would look cool, however, it it is in truth the Stone of Jas, we won't know until it is revealed to be true.
  10. This is actually very interesting. Since Party Hats have never been this low, and have always been a steady riser in price before the removal of free trade and Duel Arena Staking, they have been dropping at almost a brutally high rate. This could possibly be a turning point in the prices, since I do remember the time when Purple party hats were up over 140m, and look at them being only around 90m is slightly shocking.
  11. Since I have all the points and every armor set etc. I play the game more strategically now. What I first do, is get a good amount of level 4 tools/ clay and make the best possible armor and weapons i can. This usually takes a good amount of 3-4 minutes of the game. Then I make a Clay Summon pouch, and fill it with food, suit myself up with every possible set, and supplies, and potions, then head out. I'm usually on ancients for the games, so I'm one of those people who freeze and then kill the person. Once I find a group of people or single workers, I usually launch a full scale attack on them until either of us is dead. Then, once they are, I will continue on with this type of method. I also always keep tools with me so I can collect and make more food and survive for a longer amount of time. That is for aggressive attacking method. When I was gathering as many points as possible, I would quickly make one of each tool until I could find a class 4 source of clay that was relatively close to a kiln and then make as many runes/ arrows that I could In the allotted time. I always had a group of barricades in my Clay BoB while collecting in case I needed an emergency safe spot. This method usually gained me about 80-110k points per game if we won, 65-80k if we lost. And those are basically what I use as my "tactics" And gotta say, this minigame is amazingly fun, however, needs more upper level, and higher rewards.
  12. Simply amazing. Wish I had that much luck :o 10/10
  13. Even if you did leave your goals incomplete, you can't force yourself to play something that just isn't fun anymore. Have fun off of Runescape. :
  14. The "code" of Pking died when the wild was taken away, and this one you talk about doesn't even seem right. Before I go off topic I will say I do NOT follow that code, because an easy 2-4 well places dds specials will drop almost any player not willing to pray or eat. I think it must have been made up by people who think they can win if their opponent isn't eating during the fight, as they probably lost a few kills due to prayer/food.
  15. *paste required number here* Yes as you said, eating and praying do increase the length of the fight, but you forget that it is exactly that which makes PKing so thrilling and fun. Getting a KO off someone who is eating as fast as they can click over someone not doing anything just isn't as fulfilling as getting a full battle through. If there was never any eating of praying, then PKing would be all about luck, and even a 100 could best a 126 (they can anyways, but beyond the point) easily due to sheer luck of the hits. You could have a bad first few hits, and without eating could be in Lumbridge before you even hit even though you obviously have the advantage. Not to mention the loot increases for the longer you last in battle, so Eating and Praying actually give you a better chance at getting something good. If you have tried out the PvP worlds, you will know, that the drops are hardly good at all, unless you really fight a true fight with good equipment and skill. So no, short quick fights don't make you quick profit, because in a quick fight against someone having a godsword with rune armor will probably yield a drop of 5 shrimp and some poisoned iron javelins.
  16. Kinda old, but I never really got to post it: I was on a slayer task, 5 kills in, I got this bad boy. Visages had become unable to be traded at he time, so I had someone assist me making the shield and then sold the shield for 21.2m. I gotta say, I was pretty happy. \ And, tbh, I had never camped iron dragons before, and had only done them for slayer. I probably guess I got it within maybe 100-200 iron dragons ever killed. Now I try for actual drops, and never get them. I think slayer must be magical for drops. And while I'm at it, Best ever mage camp
  17. Chances are once SGS settles at a price that doesn't seem to be dropping tons each day, I will probably go for that, and then save up for full bandos. Answered teh part about money above, but my bank gets me through all the things I gotta do, so I really don't see any reason to get much else. The sgs is only because its special looks promising, and I think its more useful than the ags. Again though I will have to borrow a sgs just to see if its really worth it. If not I will just go for bandos armor and possibly guthans. ;)
  18. Took a little over an hour to do, and I spend about 1m on supplies (used maybe 400k of em -.- ) And from the title, I now have 2 firecapes. Chances are I will go for a third since I still have so many supplies, and I got 89 range during the caves, so I might as well do it for some fun \ And now my current (without the junk part) Bank of Runescape. I have amazing organization skillz :wall: [hide=BANK][/hide] Rate/Hate :D
  19. Correct. It's therefore more versatile than the VLS, but the VLS is still far more dangerous to come up against in PvP. Yes, and think about people buying the sword just for major/intense fights. Even though I wouldn't suggest buying these weapons for a one hour time limit, It would be great for those people with the money once the item price settles at a more reasonable price for certain activities. If they are as great as you say, then it could be amazing for people who want the AGS for a boss battle, and then can have it for one hour and completely own at GWD for example. Yet, you could always borrow an AGS for possibly free from a friend, and thus, I completely contradict myself. However, these weapons do should some possibility to being amazing weapons. One thing I want to know is if the timer goes down even while you aren't in combat. So if you have it equipped just for show does it go down? And if it does, can un-equipping it stop the timer or does it still degrade? I personally think the weapons/armor should have been untradeable, and have the timer yet be repairable. even making the repair cost amazingly high like 10x the barrows repair costs would be better than making a 10m weapon completely disappear after an hour of use. -.-
  20. Too much spamming has occurred, and the question has been answered. If you sell a party hat/ any other item to a general store, they buy it for cheap, and sell it at grand exchange med price. ~Locked
  21. Well first off, let me re-welcome you to Tip.it and Runescape : And yes, many things have changed in Runescape since you have been gone. Let me just run down a quick list of things: -Trade Restrictions to help combat RWT and bots/gold farmers -Addition of Slayer points and the slayer helm -Multiple new quests (Summer quest series, and Rocking out to name a few) -God Wars dungeon and the Godswords -Addition of the Grand Exchange (new method of trading) -Themed worlds (minigames, trade etc.) -ZMI alter (fast runecrafting experience) -Runescape HD along with full-screen capability (HD-high def graphics) -Addition of Duel Tournaments -Addition of Bouty Hunter (pking minigame) -Addition of Fist of Guthix (cobat minigame) -Minigame highscores (bouty hunter, tournaments, fist of guthix) -New skill :summoning -Coinshare for safe drop splitting (no middle man) -Ability to assist players with skills safely -Hunter skill released (not sure if you missed it) Along with all the usually small changes and tweaks, too many to recall. And the most recent updates being the introduction of Full worlds where PKing is possible anywhere, except a few places (banks, lumbridge etc.) and the change of the Runescape log-in feature having both World select and Game resolution choices built in to the game log in screen. Well thats all I can remember for now, alothough a few I did only remember myslef while posting this. Hopefully you will enjoy your time back in-game, and Enjoy the many new features.
  22. I think it is probably due to the shields still begin extremely rare in-game. I doubt there is more shields than a few hundred, and maybe not even that many. Not to mention that you must kill the toughest beast in all of runescape to gain access to the items necessary to make the shield. In due time they probably will add them to the lending , but not until the price stabilizes at reasonable prices or it has already been more than enough time that they have been out. And as others have said, those few who do have the shield would probably lend it out for a good 500k+ an hour minimum. (lots of people want to try it, and are willing to pay anything to have it for even an hour)
  23. I'm actually downloading my beta version right now. I also decided to witch from pre-ordering the normal edition of COD:WW to the Collectors edition. 37% downloaded so far, will update after I play a bit of the beta.
  24. Its probably due to the mix of computer work and Runescape+other online activities that I have seen a recent decrease in my vision. It seems a bit blurry at times, but other than that, I usually can see perfectly well.
  25. That's one amazing level. Farming is definitely one of the tougher 99s to get, most due to the amount of time it takes, so Gratz on that. 10/10
