Print or Cursive?
I was forced to learn cursive in 3rd grade. When I got into 4th grade, I faked like I couldn't write legibly in cursive so I could continue writing in print. I was a sly fox even in my elementary school days.

Vaccinations--Should they be mandated?
I believe that it is my body and I can control what is and is not done to it. I believe that having a healthy and working immune system means it needs to work on its own. I just don't believe in vaccines other than ones that are life saving and emergency situations. I've lived for 19 years and never gotten a disease or sickness that needed a vaccine. I think that's enough proof for me.

Vaccinations--Should they be mandated?
Shame on me for wanting to control my own body? Excuse me, but I have an immune system, and it's a very good one. It's the same immune system that has never gotten me the flu or any other sickness aside from the common cold or food poisoning. I can do perfectly alright without a vaccine.

Switching Majors and Colleges
You should choose History, because it's a great major. It happens to be mine as well :D I'm going to be a teacher, even though you aren't too hot about it, it can be a good occupation. The only advice I can really give you is to definitely NOT pick something you don't like. You'll only be unhappy doing it.

Vaccinations--Should they be mandated?
I have never been vaccinated in my entire life for anything. I will fight to my last breath never to get vaccinated unless it is absolutely necessary (stepping on a rusty nail, etc.). I urge the government to just try to make me do it.

It brings up some decent points, but there's also a lot of garbage in it too.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Watched PI for the first time last night and I thought it was pretty dang good. I love Aronofsky's work, so it made it much better to watch. My mother always told me not to look directly into the sun, so one day...I did.

Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States
This was well needed. I am not guaranteeing that Obama will fix this country, but with the way he speaks and the ideas that he has, I think he has the tools to do it. I'll give him a chance, but damn I wanted Ron Paul.

Obama's Grandmother Died.
Yes, Obama sent those guys to do that. God you are just a complete moron, do you know that?
-
Stabbed in the Back...?
Why waste your time if he isn't going to treat you well? Find someone that is a nice person to you.
-
Obama's Grandmother Died.
You can hide behind your transparent semantics all you like, but anyone with a pair of eyes can see that you were implying gang-banger just the same as you were implying socialism a few posts back. Are you honestly trying to tell me that you were referring to the white, middle class with the "rims" comment? I don't think so. I also don't care if you are a Marine or a Police Officer or any other occupation. That doesn't make you a better person than anyone else in America. Maybe if those people that you seem to deal with day in and day out had a leader that actually cared about them, they might feel the need to better themselves. Until today, they haven't had one since FDR. I am not voting today because the best candidate in the election is not on the ballot, but the obvious choice to better America is Obama.
-
Obama's Grandmother Died.
You're absolutely ridiculous. Way to stereotype every poor person in America as a gang-banger who puts big shiny rims on his or her car. And what makes spending money on "rims" a bad thing? It's the same as spending money on any other hobby or activity. While McCain spends the government's money on giving breaks to big business and oil companies, Obama is going to be helping our country from the bottom up. I think I'd rather see people of less standing in America helped out than see Wall Street cronies of McCain get more money than they deserve. I can't wait for another 25 years where there are less people like you in this country; people with a mindset that is stuck in 1940.

Obama's Grandmother Died.
Right. Obama is a complete Socialist and wants to implement Communism into America. Get over yourself.

Christian's Music Picks of 2008
Slipknot didn't exactly meet my expectations with their new album. I guess that's what happens when you try to follow up an album produced by Rick Rubin. Same with The Mars Volta on De-Loused. They haven't used him since and haven't put out an album as good as that one. And please, Kid Rock is an absolute disgrace to music. By the way, he not only pays sacrilege to "Sweet Home Alabama", but even goes as far as insulting "Werewolves In London" with his lack of musical talent. Kid Rock has followed the trends of music for his whole career. I.E.: He was rapping when the Limp Bizkit era was prime, he was rock when that started to come around, and now he's country when it's getting more popular. He's a complete sell out and a horrible artist. Kid Rock should be on the list of top 25 worst artists of all time. God I hate him so much.

Tipt it and Folding at Home
There was a Drum Line forums site I used to frequent around a year ago and they had a program that you could use to take your unused CPU usage donate it. The CPU usage went towards cancer research. It was a pretty cool thing.

Your Favorite Song?
Alright I'll try my best to list a few. Right In Two by Tool-- I think this song was the sleeper song of 10,000 Days and possibly one of Tool's biggest sleeper songs that they've ever written. It's a lamenting song about humanity and how cruel we are to each other. The song itself almost seems to be a cascading tale of human time from the simple (although I could hardly consider 11/8 a simple song) tabla drumming Carey employs to the quiet and mysterious clean duo of guitar and bass and making it all the way to the end with the massive churning drum, guitar, and bass breakdown that all comes back together with Maynard's wailing sadly about how terrible humans are to each other. This song continually gives me chills. [hide=Lyrics] [/hide] Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of) by The Mars Volta-- I don't know what else can really be said about this song unless you have listened to it. The Mars Volta implied a lot of 3/4 time signatures on their debut LP De-Loused In the Comatorium which gives it quite a unique feel. Jon Theodore's unique style of drumming, which is so simple but amazingly affective, really adds the life to this song, and you'll never be able to get that hook out of your head: "Exoskeletal, junction at the railroad delayed!". Take The Power Back by Rage Against the Machine-- This song really tells the tale of how the "history" we get in our school systems is quite filtered and very European biased ("Europe; Ain't my rope to swing on. Can't learn a thing from it, yet we hang from it!"). This song only fuels my drive to become a history teacher even more. It's time to take the power back. Time by Pink Floyd-- Of course I could pretty much classify the entire Dark Side of The Moon album as one amazing suite, but if I had to pick one song, it would definitely be Time. The poetic genius of Waters and Gilmour is really shown well here. The song is a lament on how our lives our ours to live, we just have to take it into our own hands and do it. At any point in your life, you can begin to take hold of your own destiny and live your life. If you haven't, you should also give their album Animals a listen to, it's great as well and hardly gets the attention it deserves. Upward Over the Mountain by Iron and Wine-- Sam Beam hardly gets the respect that he deserves for his AMAZING songwriting ability. I would easily throw him in with Dylan as one of the best lyricists and musicians of all time. His use of imagery, especially in this song, is rivaled by none (note the part in the chorus where he pauses on "So may the sun....rise bring hope where it once was forgotten" Just genius!). This song is a sad tale of a son parting with his mother. He's trying to convince her that everything will be alright and that he hasn't forgotten about her and never will. The verses seem to be the testimonial from the son to the mother while the choruses are Beam's views that sons will always come back to their mothers for the support that they need in life ("Sons are like birds; Taken broken up to the mountain"). and finally... 10,000 Days and Wings For Marie (10,000 Days pt. 2) by Tool-- I won't even list one thing about this song. If you haven't listened these songs, take 20 minutes, put some isolation headphones on, pull up the lyrics and listen to them.

13yr old sent home for dressing as jesus
That's just disgusting. Why would you do that? You complain that people get offended over nothing and then you act as if your actions were 'nothing'. If anyone should have been sent home on Halloween, it should have been you for doing that.

What do you look for in a boy/girl?
I could never date a girl who uses the phrase "Oh my gawwwd" more than once per day. I need a girl that can think for herself and can form her own opinions about things. I definitely could never date a girl that wears UGG boots because of how ridiculously stupid they are. I prefer darker haired girls to lighter haired, but I really don't discriminate when it comes down to it. I'd take an average girl over a hot girl any day if she can think for herself. That's my biggest hook.
