  1. Only one eighth note pick-up note is the line between originality and plagiarism!
  2. Vrooom by King Crimson Baked as hell. It rules my soul right now.
  3. Classical Gas by Mason Williams should be on the list.
  4. Rage Against the Machine. "Jump" by Van Halen. I wake up to that song every single morning blasting as loud as my speakers will let it go. It's a great way to start your day!
  5. Yet another reason why Coldplay completely blows.
  6. Black Dhalia Murder has to rank up there.
  7. Yeah that's not cool at all posting someone else's songs claiming they're yours for fun.
  8. De-Loused In The Comatorium Their best album to date, although the Tremulant EP is pretty good as well.
  9. Cedric and Omar MADE ATDI. The whole sound was manufactured by them. The other guys were just there for supporting roles and it is still the same way in TMV to an extent. Their concert was absolutely amazing. No warm-up band and they came on stage and played for 3 straight hours. No talking, just music continuously for 3 hours. One of the best live shows I've seen. Most of the songs had long improv solos from many different sections of the band.
  10. You'd have to be a complete imbecile to not know of At The Drive In if you like The Mars Volta. At The Drive-In has always seemed to me to be a little more inspired music while The Mars Volta seems to be the members exploring their instrument's every limit, and having seen them in concert, I can say that they successfully explore every sound their instrument can make. De-Loused In the Comatorium will always remain The Mars Volta's greatest and most critically acclaimed piece of art.
  11. There's quite a long thread about this that went on for pages during the summer. This thread is about as important as guns are.
  12. Gotta be the Turkey. Two giant Thanksgiving meals on Thursday for both sides of the family makes me one tired dude. The natural sedative in turkey is killer.
  13. Are you really going to try to tell me that car companies in the 21st century that have been around for nearly 100 years don't have the technology to make an engine that doesn't get 50mpg?
  14. Well be a little more careful when tossing around the word "opinion", then. Evolution is a proven, scientifically tested theory. Creationism is not. I think that's where this really ends. Although I'm still pulling for my favorite make-believe deity, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, to prove everyone on Earth wrong.
  15. Ugh...pseudo-punk crap. I hope they don't get back together. I thought all the unintelligent 14 year-old fanboys of Travis Barker were done trying to prove that he and the rest of Blink-182 were the best things in the world.
  16. In St. Cloud, MN there is no snow on the ground. We had about 3" a week ago, but it's gone. It's just cold as hell and windy. Back in my hometown in Wisconsin I think they have minimal amounts, nothing significant yet, though.
  17. Egg Cartons are a good idea. Coming from a drummer who has completely soundproofed his drum room in his basement, I can say that using foam is an amazing idea. If you can get large sheets of foam, pin them up on your walls and such. Egg cartons are a good secondary idea, but just like in recording studios, foam is the best bet.
  18. That would ruin the free market system. Why would we buy poorly made American cars when we could get a Japanese made car that will run cleaner, longer, and more fuel efficiently. And to all those that are saying "Well the American car companies are coming out with fuel efficient cars now!". It doesn't matter if they are coming out with *new* cars because most people are not buying expensive new cars. Most people are buying pre-owned cars which are not nearly as fuel efficient. Japanese cars have been being made fuel efficient for YEARS.
  19. Terrible idea. Let them go bankrupt. If their cars aren't selling, there is a reason. People don't want unreliable American-made gas-guzzling cars anymore.
  20. Rage hit it big in '92. That was 16 years ago. Most of our parents still had a lot of their youth in them back then.
