  1. Playing on a drum line for 5 years and having your own drum kit and a band practice in your basement = goodbye high frequencies.
  2. Blood Bank [album] by Bon Iver. I was completely captivated within the first 30 seconds of it. That's the sign of a great artist.
  3. Their Live At Pompeii movie/concert is so amazing. I watch it once a week, at least. The live version of "Echoes" is 10x better than the album version because of Nick Mason's drumming. He is totally making it up as he goes along, but it all fits so perfectly.
  4. That's about 5-7 years too young for me. I'll recommend you Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
  5. Echoes: Live by Pink Floyd. In my opinion, the greatest song they have ever written.
  6. I wouldn't rule it out. When they announced they were going to play Coachella, they all sincerely denied making ANY new music. Then when they decided to add in Rock the Bells and Alpine Valley (of which I saw them at AV), Tom Morello said that they were respecting each others solo endeavors and that recording new music is "a whole different ball of wax." After headlining Big Day Out, Leeds/Reading, and other festivals around the world, they choose "not to comment." The more they have been playing together, the less they say about recording. Having seen Rage twice on their reunion tour during the last year leads me to believe that there might be a chance for new material. When they opened at Alpine Valley with "Testify" and the lights all came up on the 40,000+ screaming, fists in air, Zach looked at the crowd and did something I've never seen before at a live concert: He smiled, something very rare for him to do on stage. And when they ended the show with "Killing In the Name", there was energy that was the equivalent to millions of Rage fans pent up for 8 years there that could not be topped by any live show around these days. Just watch this video and watch up until the last second and you will see why I think that the four members of Rage Against the Machine are on good terms once again and why I believe there's a possibility for a new album.
  7. The Grapes of Wrath or East of Eden by John Steinbeck. Both amazing pieces of literature, the former being my favorite.
  8. I'm already studying to be a teacher and what you've got to realize is that the kids that make fun of subs or teachers have no respect from the rest of the students. If you give students respect and treat them like equals, you'll be treated like that as well. Of course there might always be a John Bender in your class, which you can't really do anything about. The worst sub I ever had back in high school was my Freshman year. He was subbing for our history teacher and tried to convince us that the Holocaust was made up. He even brought in a video for it. Needless to say, he never subbed again at our school.
  9. Speak To Me/Breathe by the great Pink Floyd.
  10. Haha he just wanted to be friends with you! Weims jump a lot, but if they're well trained, they know when not to do that.
  11. Weimaraners. Once you own one, you'll never get another type of dog. Here's mine, Maggie. She's a real sweetie.
  12. All three Matrix movies in a 6 hour run. It was a good time last night. I enjoyed all of it.
  13. TOOL has been "writing in earnest" since after the holidays. I doubt it'll be released in the next 2 years, but hey, it's a start.
  14. HELL YES. warri0r-Death, TOOL d00d-Rage, The Mars Volta
  15. For all the dumb humor in Family Guy, there's a lot more than what meets the eye. There are quite a few social commentaries and psychological commentaries that happen constantly throughout the show. Take for example Stewie not being able to be understood, yet all of his thoughts are just as coherent and plausible as anyone else in the show. That's the writers trying to show how little children may think. If you look past the crude jokes, there's a lot that can be learned. Just like South Park has a message at the end of every episode.
  16. Because it's an easy scapegoat to blame all of society's problems on. Music is and always will be the scapegoat.
  17. I've watched every episode and found it to particularly amazing. My friend has this game in his basement. Worst board game EVER. Were they trying to torment those of us playing?
  18. Rush-2112 Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon I don't know if this really counts as an "album", but Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii just blows me away. Especially Echoes. The beauty of the songwriting in that song is just amazing. If you have not watched this movie and you like the Floyd, you absolutely have to see it.
  19. If you want good Trance, Armin Van Buuren's 8 year running weekly 2 hour broadcast is the way to go.
  20. Ha ha, I'm with you on that. I would make making anything illegal, illegal.
  21. Scrubs is so lame. It has maybe one or two funny moments per half hour show, but then again, when you write 50 moronic jokes per show, you gotta get lucky once. I think Scrubs belongs in the mid 90s, it seems that's where its humor comes from.
  22. Aside from my normal addictions in music, I have become addicted to Armin Van Buuren.
  23. Lamb Of God. Good Christian band, it's even in the name.
  24. Testfy by Rage Against the Machine Laid To Rest by Lamb of God Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of) by The Mars Volta
