If other people want to try their luck with E-Dating, by all means, but I can't interact physically with a computer screen so I will not date or meet anyone online. I'll take my chances in the real world.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
As a person who believes in the idea of survival of the fittest, I see humans at the top of the food chain; we decide which species die and which do not. Of course, as intelligent beings, we need to take into consideration our surroundings (which species are fragile, endangered, etc.), but I don't believe in the zero-sum "all or none" argument. Like I said before, dogs have been purposely domesticated from wild animals to be used as pets and companions, not food.

I would consider her a very low person for eating a dog, yes. It does not mean that she is incapable of doing good things, but I believe the act of eating a dog is disgusting.

Hate is a pretty strong word. I don't hate them, I despise them. I suppose you're right in that sense, but through despising the action of eating dogs I despise the people that do it. In my eyes, they go hand in hand. Edit: To be clear, I may despise something but I do believe in cultural relativism. Just because I do not like it, does not mean it is wrong for others to do it. I understand that my opinions are not going to influence someone from another culture to change his or her actions to fit my culture.

In my native homeland of Giodunistan, cows are kept as pets and we raise dogs to eat. Am I still wrong? My point to the cow counterexample was that emotional interaction and dependence is reciprocated between dogs and humans because dogs have been specifically bred to do that. Cows, on the other hand, have not. Clearly the different variations of bovine species have not been bred as house pets or companions. While it is true that in some cultures cows are sacred, there is a difference between a companion and something that you worship. And for the record, I never said it was wrong, I said I despise people who do it.

It still doesn't matter to me. Dogs have been raised and bred for hundreds of years by humans as pets, not food. Their purpose is to be a companion to humans. Despite my intense dislike of cats, I can still respect that they are pets and very dear to some people on both a case by case basis and as a species. I could never eat cat either.

Would you eat something that is not usually socially accepted e.g dog, balut (fertilized duck embryo)? I would never eat dog unless it was the absolute last thing on earth and I was starving to death. Not eating another culture's cuisine or odd foods doesn't seem picky to me, though. I don't understand. What's so bad about eating dog? In 21 years of being alive, I've gone a total of two weeks at most without having a dog as a pet. I despise people who eat dog. So if you owned a cow would you be completely against eating beef? That is a ridiculous counterexample. The emotional bond between a human and a cow is not nearly the same as that between a human and a dog.

What movie(s) did you last see?
The first time I watched Requiem for a Dream I was at my ex-girlfriend's house from high school and we started it around 11pm and I left her place around 1ish. She lived another town over (about 20 miles) and the drive home for me was completely silent; no radio, no nothing, just driving and thinking. Now I love watching it. It has some serious dark beauty, but all of Aronofsky's movies do and that's why I love him :D

Drinking/Drugs
Yes, and there have been some really ground breaking studies done within the last five years about contact sports and their long term affects on health. Even athletes that stop at the college level have an extremely high likelihood of having some sort of brain-related illness later in life.
-
Drinking/Drugs
Wrong. It takes ONE blow to the head, one helmet to helmet contact to cause enough damage to cause dementia and other brain complications later in life. Except that is not excessive drinking, but whatever. I just get upset when people demonize drinking because of the stigmas attached when there are many, many other things that are much worse for you but aren't exactly talking points.

Drinking/Drugs
Oh yes, my hearing is already damaged. So many hours spent on drumlines without wearing earplugs. I do wear (ear) protection when I'm playing the set though.

Drinking/Drugs
You're only focusing on the extremes variables there. 1-3 beers is very casual drinking and also doesn't mean that he is always have 3 beers every night like you bolded. Also when he refers to going to a bar it's only probably only a few nights a week like one or two. I don't know why you have such a negative view on drinking, but it's not as bad as you make it out to be. If you include the trips to the bar, he probably is averaging 3 beers a night, which is a bad idea if continued for a while. There are a million other things more people do on a daily basis that are worse for your health than three beers a night. It's only perceived as worse because you become intoxicated from drinking beer. How about the people that eat at McDonald's, drive without a seat belt, get extremely sunburned often, or play contact sports that cause brain damage? Those are just a few examples off the top of my head. Like I said, it's only perceived as more negative because it makes you drunk.

Headphones
Yes, you can. Although they are the "open-air" model, I have no problem hearing the music while playing my drumset. My set at home is in a completely wide open basement (lots of boomy echoes) and the set I play at college is in a small studio with foam on the walls. In both situations I can hear adequately; those headphones can get LOUD. They do make an isolation version of those (I believe it is the same model number or something very similar) but I think it is slightly more expensive.

Drinking/Drugs
The heavy drinking, no, but a couple beers with dinner isn't bad for you and I've read elsewhere that having a daily glass of wine or beer is actually good for your health. I don't know if that's proven or not though.

Tele-Lag?
Yeah this is quite annoying and it has been happening for awhile. I'll finally go back to summoning once it's fixed, but who knows if that will even be this year.

Battlefield Discussion Thread
I like the addition of medic gear to the Assault class, but I'm not too sure how I feel yet about the Suppressive Fire idea :???: I guess I'll just have to weigh in when I buy it!
