Like I said, he makes emotionless films. I did not like Inception because I felt he tried too hard to make a "crazy" plot. His characters were underdeveloped and I found myself not caring at all about their fates. I was able to follow the plot well enough even on my first run through because I have seen other movies of his that had similar "crazy" plots (Memento, etc.). A majority of the movie was explaining to the audience how to navigate through the dream world, the rules of it, and so on. Sure there was the emotional aspect between the protagonist and his wife, but that was it. The other actors and actresses were just "there". I guess that is the best way I can put it. Without that emotional connection, what does the movie have left? What does the audience take away? That we do not know what is real and what is not? I remember the Matrix, too. Again, I think he tried far too hard to make a "crazy" plot and failed to include crucial emotional elements to the story.
