Not exactly true. You can't just throw some seeds in a pot and expect good weed. There's a lot of genetics, breeding, light schedules, water schedules, etc. etc. behind good pot. I'm aware, I should have said anyone with the internet can grow it.

I don't see anyone having a drug war over weed. It basically grows anywhere, it is after all a weed. Anyone can grow it.

In my opinion, the success or failure of medical marijuana will ultimately decide whether or not marijuana becomes legalized fully. In a way, the arguments are one in the same.

I haven't met one marijuana advocate that wouldn't agree with you. I have no problem with it taxed, regulated, or anything. I don't think kids should use marijuana, but I don't think the "smoking age" should be 21. 18 years old is fine.

As long as the dispensaries offer the best bud for the best price, I don't see why anyone would want to go to their local "guy" for anything. If the demand on the street is down, large scale operations will likely cease to be profitable.

People are going to smoke pot no matter how illegal it is. The amount of money spent on destroying the black market for marijuana could easily be saved and applied elsewhere to more harmful "drugs". Legalize it baby. As if I needed another reason to move to Canada.

Try more like 3 times a week. Damn near every blog post and dev update gets its own topic. I still think main updates should be able to keep their own topics. I rarely read any of the blogs or developer stuff because a good portion of the time those things don't come to fruition.

Finally finished my semester-long research project. I had to create a historically accurate character and make a biography of him based on real people and real events. Basically, every weekend this semester I have been sifting through primary sources from 14th century Spain in an effort to find information I could incorporate into my biography. The only thing standing between me and summer is two 8-10 page research papers and my Music Theory final. It is soooooooo close :thumbsup:

Yeah that was just a general comment, I should have separated those two statements by a line break.

What? They want a forum specifically for discussion of metagaming specifically because they want to avoid conflict. That comment was specifically about "promoting metagaming" attitude m and in relation sepcifically to h&A when it has been shown earlier in the thread some "promote" meta gaming by calling anything non meta-gaming archaic or outdated etc. And that tht attitude also does sort of imply the view of meta-gamers shuld be allowed to talk down non-meta gaming advice but people shouldnt be allowed to talk down meta-gaming. Well I don't think it "sort of implies" anything. I think these people are frustrated they have to deal with users that don't understand how the way they play works. Kill two birds with one stone--give them a forum. I don't think a sub-forum would be the best idea because there is a lot more that these players want to discuss than just giving help and advice to other users.

The problem, though, is spill-over from other boards and members. As far as I know, they're not trying to split up H&A, and there are a lot of attitudes that I just don't think are constructive for H&A. Also, a problem is picking who to moderate. There's really only one mod here who promotes RS metagaming. A lot of the mods here are fair but they don't really take sides, or are not as active both in game and on the forums as I would like. There are also a few mods that are completely out of touch and have made terrible judgment calls (like all of the recent bannings) that I want NOTHING to do with. I don't think admins would kick those mods out. Another thing is that tip it would never include a clause like "action will be taken against players who are deemed disruptive to the metagaming community". AFAIK the admins don't think that kind of clause is fair. I think it's totally vital for us to select the community that we want. If the administrators and moderators are willing to give the crowd that caused the most disruption on this forum that I have seen since I have been here a second chance, I think you should give them a second chance as well. Don't take this personally, but you're not exactly in the best position to be making demands for who should moderate these hypothetical forums.

I think it would be a good idea for meta-gamers to have their own forum on Tip.It. If things can remain under control and discussions civil, there isn't anything bad about it that I can see.
