Lol. Barraging for crimsons cost around 4k each, or 2k each with Brobes. Hence that sort of price. Obviously far cheaper via fiends. But then factor in the time taken to gather them, rather than purely the cost in supplies. 4k each is not unreasonable at all. And I also found your clue scroll piricings amusing. 1m for a hard? You are playing a different game my friend. 100k tops. While I don't think Hard Clue Scrolls are worth 1m, I also don't think they're worth a mere 100k. Although the likelihood of receiving rewards that are worth significant amounts of money is low, you have to remember people would be buying large quantities of Clue Scrolls which would increase their odds of receiving rare rewards over time. I'd put the price somewhere around 500k. But, at the same time, you'd assume, if Clue Scrolls were made tradeable, that Jagex would also decrease the drop rate in order to compensate for drop-hunters. There are too many "what-ifs" in order to get a truly accurate price, but I definitely think they're worth more than 100k.

75 Albums you should own, Tip.It version

I'll probably make an addendum to mine sometime this summer. I've got a drum instructor that has given me loads of great music and I've gone down a few musical avenues myself that I hadn't considered at the time of my first list. Should be interesting. -
Maybe that's what hell is, the entire rest of eternity spent in [bleep]ing Bruges----Favorite line from that movie, I loved it.

Project Gun Runner and Operation Fast and Furious

I don't think you can ever say one organization is responsible for them getting guns when gun laws are so loose. I gave you the benefit of the doubt the last time because I enjoy debating, but this is the worst attempt of a troll I have ever seen in my life. -

If the Cartel are using weapons and ammunition illegally bought from shops in which the ATF authorized illegal sales, then yes, the blood is on the ATF's hands. There is no way that the blame can be placed, or for that matter, reduced by any degree, anywhere else but on the ATF. Oh, I dunno, how about placing the blame on the killers? Aren't we already accepting that these people are going to kill anyways? We're not discussing whether or not justice should be exacted on known criminals, I figured that went without saying. We're discussing to what degree the ATF should be blamed for murders caused by illegal weapons sales, and to that I say they should be fully responsible. -

no no no... see you don't get it. There's 4 steps to this process: 1. We sell them the guns. 2. We wait to see where they pop up. 4. We confiscate the guns. #3 is when they commit a murder with the gun we trace it back to whoever bought it. Genius! Yeah like those pesky Mexican police officers that are trying to take down the Cartel. I'm sure they'd love to hear how the ATF is supplying their killers. -

It's just not as big a deal as people are making it. It makes for a funny/embarrassing news story, but it isn't that big of a deal. I don't see the reasoning behind selling high powered weapons to international criminals as a means to catch them. Maybe that's just me. -

There is no way that the blame can be placed, or for that matter, reduced by any degree, anywhere else but on the ATF. It's not like it's hard for Mexicans with cartel connections to get guns from the US. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/26/us/26borders.html?_r=1 It's not like the ATF did anything that can't already be done easily enough. This car is rapidly approaching Pointless Argument Road, you know, the one that's right after Smash My Face Against a Wall Avenue? I am well aware that weapons are bought and sold illegally in America and often wind up south of the border BUT THAT DOES NOT ABSOLVE ATF FROM RESPONSIBILITY. It is so frustrating to watch people try to justify the authorized sale of illegal weapons to Mexican drug Cartel with the only logic being "Uh, well dude, they would have gotten them anyway, so it's all good." NO, it is not okay under any circumstances for an entity of the United States government to sell illegal weapons to known international criminals. -

Guaranteed Content Poll: Veteran Cape Design Results

All items in Runescape are gaudy in my opinion, it's the meaning and/or stats of the item that give it its worth. The cape looks fine. -

Article about murder & mutilation by US troops

I wholeheartedly disagree with you. This world is not terrible, but there are terrible people like the soldiers above. I don't want to get in a huge argument over this, but I disagree that they're terrible people. If you haven't heard of it, look up Philip Zombardo's prison experiment. tl;dr about the experiment: he chose law-abiding college students to either act as prisoners or guards, and watched how each person reacted. Most guards acted like real prison guards and were abusive, while most prisoners suffered mental stress and panic because of the abuse. These are normal people in a matter of days (the study only lasted 6 days). Most people will do messed up stuff if you give them authority without structure. I would say it's a problem with the army as a whole and how it is run, not a few bad soldiers. Just from glancing through the Wikipedia article on it (yes, crucify me if you will for Wikipedia), the criticisms seem pretty reasonable. At the very least this experiment was done incorrectly and the results inconclusive. -

I wholeheartedly disagree with you. This world is not terrible, but there are terrible people like the soldiers above. If we carry with us into war the mindset that these kinds of atrocities are "just going to happen" and should be swept under the rug, we invite a very disturbing style of warfare to return from the not-so-distant-past. Give these soldiers the fate their victims received, not a dishonorable discharge or any lesser punishment. I will admit, these things do happen, but if we pursue justice in a swift and unyielding manner, soldiers can get the message. We may not catch all war-criminals but at the same, we do not catch all of our domestic criminals either. Apathy has no place here. -

Although I typically do not side with the military--and I won't in regards to the RS article--I have to say that not all soldiers are prejudiced, but there is a good portion that give the rest a bad name. -
There is a high school that my old high school used to play for basketball playoffs. Gale-Ettrick-Trempeleau High, or, GET High. Haha.

Humans can help themselves but animals controlled by humans cannot. We need to help those who cannot help themselves, but I agree, a human life takes precedent over an animal life any day.

Disgusting.....that's all I can really say. Something about a caged animal, even at well-kept zoos, gets me every time. They should be in the wild, not caged for display.

How much is Runescape's entertainment worth to you?
Range_This11 replied to Troll Bomber's topic in General Discussion
You're totally wrong. I spend X amount of money for Y amount of gaming hours. If I play 300 hours in 1 month and none during the other, and pay $6 for each, in the end I still paid $12 for 300 hours of game time. If your argument is that the price is too high because I don't play during some months - guess what, I consistently play a fair bit of time each month. If not, I cancel my subscription. I'm sure it's not just you, but consider this. As far as I can see your lowest level is 67, which means you've invested quite a bit of time into each skill - though more into some than others. Have you ever thought "I hate this skill, I don't want to train it"? If the answer is yes, guess what - that much time was wasted not actually having fun, however you go around it. Have you ever done cooking semi-AFKing while watching a movie (for example)? In that case, it wasn't RuneScape that gave you the entertainment, but the movie or whatever. Of course, if every single moment of your RuneScape career was spent having fun, then RS is a pretty great investment for you, but I doubt that's so. I get enjoyment out of setting goals and accomplishing them. I don't see why everything has to be immediate satisfaction (heh). -

Range_This11 replied to Troll Bomber's topic in General Discussion
One of the reasons it is so cheap is that many bots buy memberships every month. If they got rid of those paying members, I would bet prices would rise. I'll never pay more than $5 for a browser-based MMORPG with poor graphics. -
