  1. I did it with about 85 melees and 80 range, no familiar although I actually wore Guthans which helped a bit tbh. Bonfire bonus and rocktails are always good. I waited right at the edge of the map each spawn and took them out 1 by 1 as they just wander if they can't see you. Make use of the barriers to trap the monsters and you can trap and be safe from mage/range behind the double height barriers. I used an 'L' shaped one (can't remember which direction but opposite the entrance tunnel). Range the mages and pray mage, they melee too if your directly next to them.
  2. Cut 30 magic logs (82 WC) Reward: 22k WC xp and 30 magic logs!
  3. Nice skiller. Would be nice to see some short and long term goals too. Best of luck to you
  4. When I got 68-70 prayer it was easy to add in to a daily routine. Plus I'm a cheapskate and the x4 bonus made it far cheaper lol. I tied this in with Skeletal Horror and it still took like a month though. Still do it (almost) daily for the xp though.
  5. Tbh I don't think there's anything wrong with using dragon. It's a decent cheap armour with no upkeep costs. I use dragon legs myself on lower level stuff but do use guthan/veracs for higher level fighting so the repairs are very far apart. I am saving for bandos though, the additional strength and prayer bonus helps to keep quicker so overall you probably take similar damage to having lower strength but higher defence.
  6. My first ever effigy. From a cockatrice. Will be using that bad boy on Agility! [spoiler=naughty language]
  7. I've already made some use from the update, small things admittedly but useful none-the-less. On a side note, I've never had any 'security breaches' on my RS account through either tipit or SwiftKit and feel just as safe as before. I don't want to get involved or anything as I have no idea on the behind the scenes workings about any of this stuff!
  8. I was mining ess to use for RC and in the constant flow of people the word spread so, naturally, I thought it would be a good idea to bank up and head on over. I just ran around trying to get killed. Good times :D
  9. I've still not had one of these non-rare-rares yet :( I hoped they'd let you apply the tattoo has a 'hairstyle'! Edit: Just logged on and got Curled Horns lol.
  10. Nice. I've was getting spammed with probably 5 at a time every few hours but it has really died off the last 2 days. I used to report and temp mute them all!
  11. Nice! I failed 1st time on my main and haven't tried again yet haha. I'm just as impressed with your combats too, looks cool :P
  12. Haven't noticed a new pun like this for a long time in RS! It's like the teddy bears in Call Of Duty games, or the literal easter egg in GTA:VC... because they can.
  13. I feel much the same as everyone else, although haven't done any large floors yet to truly appreciate the annoyance of the key tab on the belt. I was lucky enough to get a Promethium pick as a drop though.
  14. I used to play much more like this when I played all the time and was lower leveled, still do to some extent. It also helps not being fussed about xp/h and that sort of thing as it is slower. RC, for example, I used to decide on what level I was going to get to (quest, tasks, significant/useful level) then I'd mine the essence myself for Mining xp, it's not masses at 5xp each but it's xp I'm not going to have to get later on. Same with Firemaking or Fletching, I'd cut the logs then use them up and sometimes even pick flax and string it or Fishing then Cooking the fish. It was all around the idea that it's xp I don't have to grind for later on and mixed it up regularly.
  15. I'd try smash Agility on the head early, it can be being pretty boring and requiring full concentration for slow leveling but it is useful. Hit up Pyramid Plunder or do the quests for the Thieves Guild in north Lum and do coshing with bonus xp every week, I've found Thieving quite enjoyable and reasonably quick. Although, again, full concentration required. Make sure you've done Tears Of Guthix quest too, it may not be the fastest xp for whichever skill it's giving it too but once something like RC/Agil or something expensive like Con/Summ it's handy!
  16. That makes sense. Thanks guys!
  17. I generally play once or twice a week because of other commitments, in that time I usually get a couple of Slayer tasks done. I use melee far and above the other combat styles and was wondering, as most weapons have a choice, which melee stat you think would be most useful, attack, strength or defence. Currently all 3 are at 85 and like I said most of my combat is Slayer but I do try to get to monster events and like questing too. I realise answers will be down to personal opinion and my combat training is slow and I'd like to attempt at getting 1 to 99.
  18. I got the Hati stuff on the 2nd kill and the Skoll stuff on the 1st! I only went on W2 cause I don't get to play much at all now but wanted the stuff haha. The boots will be very nice for some Agil training though.
  19. Looking great so far and very interesting too! Can't wait to see further content. Already liking the game facts such as Mos Le'Harmless being the only place to see a puffin and the real life facts such as the halophytic flora, etc.
  20. I would guess he has stuff in his invent too. I like the fact this has made me realise there are loads of major quests I still need to do and my QP is reasonable. Not really played much but from what I've seen screenie/vid-wise I wouldn't get too far without better gear and potions.
  21. From some time ago I seem to remember greys being worth it if you don't mind it taking longer. Obviously the lower ranged bonus means generally lower hits so more would be needed to reach your target but the significantly lower price you would spend less on the chins themselves. I'm sure someone will be along soon to prove me either right or wrong and might have more info for you.
  22. I returned to RS after Dung had been released so missed the boat a bit but it's not taken me long to get to 43. I soloed to 15 (actually to use the deposit box for mining iron) then found out that the dungeons gave xp too. ToG points go too it once a week and I've been using penguin points elsewhere but they will give a big boost once a week too. Add in some soloing or attempts at teams in 117 and you'll get there pretty quickly.
