  1. As far as I'm concerned, the longbow sight is definitely worth it.... ...For F2P. Honestly, even though the Sighted Magic Longbow now holds the highest bonus for range attack, rune arrows just can't amount up to the power of bolts. That is, unless it has a boost to range attack power too. Which i find unlikely. But in F2P, the Sighted Maple Longbow is a total beast. you could easily take down people in full rune, while in full rune yourself. Although i don't see where it would be useful aside from F2P PvP. Which is pretty risky with such a valuable item. Unless the sight adds, like 70k to the value of the item.
  2. But it was only, like 3 - 4 days ago >.>
  3. Okay, so I'm hurting for 94 mage(Have 91 atm). I really want ice barrage for use in FoG, and vengeance for all the other PvP minigames i do. I was talking in the hyt clan chat a few days ago, and someone was getting 94 via string jewelry. He said that it was only costing him about 8 - 9M for 90 - 94. So i thought "Wow, i can afford that". Well, i did summer's end to unlock the rouge to sell the jewelry to. As far as i know, gold ammies are the cheapest to make, then sell to the rouge. But when i calced it out, i got results saying that it would cost me close to 16M. Am i missing something? I'm still willing to sell my claws and get 94 mage over the course of the weekend, but i would like to know if I'm doing something terribly wrong before i do so. EDIT: It turns out that there was a error in my math. It turns out that it'll cost me about 10M after i sell the ammys to the rouge. It's still quite a bit, but it won't take as long for me to recover so i can buy my claws back. And it'll be well worth it. It's a little difficult to buy the ammies, but i do manage to get them 2k at a time. In the pockets of time where i have no ammies left, I'm going to switch back to basic and alch till i get a good 2k more to string. I think I'll have it within 10 hours of grinding(Thank God for weekends and all-nighters =P). I edited this on for anyone who is looking for the same answers, and manages to dig this topic up.
  4. Alright, thanks. I just posted on the RSOF(Yeah, that desperate) and I'm hoping to get some people that aren't 100% inexperienced.
  5. *Bump* Anyone, please? I really can't friggin' stand this game and i just want to get it over with.
  6. Many of you may know that i have a zerker pure that I'm quite proud of. Mostly his collection of items (whip, barrows gloves, SS, and claws). I did have a fighter torso that i loved, but i might have lost it due to a lag out :? Of course, this was about 3 months before they made them retrievable from graves(When i found that out it was a real FML moment). So, I'm trying to get it back again. And this time, I'm not using world 6(Or RSOF, because last time i did that i still attracted in-experienced players). I'd rather play with some people from TIF(I'm also going to ask around the HYT cc). I'm hoping to compile 4 people that can help me get it back. I myself know enough to not be dead weight to the team. And i have decent weapons and skills to take advantage of(70 attack, 83 strength). If you're not sure you'll be on, but still want to help. Add my Zerker pure anyway!(Hexiled Zerk) I really need some help with this! EDIT: Alright, I'll be signing on RS for the day now, so I'm going to start asking around HYT. And thanks Gamo, I'm sure I'll end up needing your help ^.^ -Thanks
  7. I see people everywhere say it's slash. And i've seen that on multiple sites too. Although i don't think it's thoroughly been tested, as people normally only use slash weapons anyway. And it doesn't make a notable change, ether.
  8. Jagex released Dungeoneering with the intention of doing a little mini re-building of RuneScape(Or something like RuneScape) knowing what they know now. Hence why all the skills tie together so well. At least that's what i think. Anyway, the point I'm getting at is: Dungeoneering is heavily set on the combat triangle, and different attack styles. Monsters will be significantly weaker to a certain attack style, making the spear the most worth-it weapon. As it can use all three melee attack styles. As far as i can tell, it's pretty easy to deduct what monsters are weak to what. These are a few i've done myself(They're not 100%, but I'm pretty certain on them): Rats: Stab Ice Giants: Stab Ice Warriors: Crush Ice Fiends: Stab or Crush. They seem pretty close. Zombies: Slash Hydras: Slash Skeletons: Crush All of the forgotten warriors, rangers, and mages very. As i believe they actually receive the bonus of the armor they're wearing. Both rangers and mages it doesn't seem to matter much, but you might want to play around with the warriors. I know there's a lot more, but these are the ones i've memorized for the most part at the moment.
  9. If I'm not mistaken, there was a point where they let you transfer items from a RSC account to RS2 accounts when RS2 was still beta/just released to the public. But I'm sure with this point long-gone, your opportunity to get those items on RS2 is gone as well.
  10. It's been confirmed that the spear is the best, most flexible weapon while dungeoneering. What i did to get my promo spear what duo'ing on a med dungeon with someone from the hyt chat. He agreed to make a spear for me, i just needed to collect all of the items. I collected every coin drop, and resource and just barely had enough to get 4 promo ores. Personally, i don't think it's possible to get the required 410k for 4 promo ores on a small dungeon. You'll have to come across a promo rock and get at least 2 ores from it, and collect every resource to come up with the the money for the other 2 from the smuggler. And yes, you can mine promo. You just have to boost your stats with a gatherer's potion(And i think you'll have to boost your smithing too to make a spear).
  11. I really don't know why you won't buy a fury. It's not "Just a few extra bonuses". It's a while extra 12 defense, two prayer, and two strength over glory. And the only other thing you can really upgrade are your legs to tassets. And even that only provides 2 extra strength and slight defense losses in other stats. You would get more defense, some useful prayer, and the same strength. If you're in it for efficiency, you're really hurting yourself buy not investing in a fury. But if you still want to be stubborn, then i recommend a pair of tassets. You can't really afford claws for a spec weapon. Nor do you have soul split to render them useful anyway. And i can't really think of anything else.
  12. Borderline overpowered. Honestly, i've been beaten in my tank gear by people who weren't even wearing a plate and legs. They just soul split and turmoil, and if they don't kill me, they put a huge dent in my LP before going down(I mostly FFA clan wars, and DA). But i guess if they spend 150M on prayer, they deserve the effectiveness. I don't know. I don't have huge inputs of money like boss hunting and bounty hunter, so i guess it's my fault. So i guess i can't complain. But i digress in rant. Just had that pent up after i got turmoiler after turmoiler at the DA yesterday '_' Anyway, back to your original question... I would go with the prayers. From level 80, it costs 150M to get 95 on a G alter. Although I'm not too clear on how much herblore costs. Haven't really researched it. But considering how much you have to spend to buy overloads or extremes, the prayers would be a lot more effective in the long run.
  13. Okay, the resources that appear on every floor. Are they based on the floor's level?(Example: Does floor 25 has higher level resources then floor 6?) Or is it based on the skill level of the raiders?(Example: Player A is doing a solo raid, and has 90 mining. Does this mean he still has a possibility of finding a vain of Promethium on a lower level floor, like floor 6?) Also, is it possible to poison bound weapons? I'm pretty sure it is, because i don't see why not. But i just want to make sure. This one pertains to poisoning too. Is it possible to upgrade the potion on a weapon? Say i owned a T10 spear with normal poison on it that i had to go though a lot to get. And i end up raiding with a level 99 herblorist who made a few vials of the best poison. Would i be able to use the new, better poison on my spear even though it's already poisoned? Or would i have to go though the trouble of finding someone who can make the spear, and poison at the same time for me?(Or, of course just find someone who can make a spear, and leave it clean until i find a level 99 herblorist. That is, if i can poison it after it's bound.) Which leads me to my last question. Somewhere out there, if a 97 smither has some spare time, could i get them to go on a dungeon raid with me for about one or two floors?(Might need 90 mining too. If not, we're pushing our luck with trying to find 408k on one floor) I really want to solo my way to a high(50+) dungeoneering level, but I'd really like the best weapon i can use for it(My 60 smithing just doesn't cut it when it comes to making my own weaponry). I've grown quite fond of the spear, as it's fast, can use all 3 styles of melee attacks, and can be poisoned with the strongest poison in the skill. So, naturally I'm aiming for a Promethium spear. I have BCP and tassys, and a set of claws. So if you want, I'll lend for 24 hours free of charge for payment. Thanks!

As others have said, sell that BGS! The money can have much more use elsewhere. For melee training, get a prossy plate + Verac's skirt and a fury. With 80 prayer and a ardy cape 3, my piety lasts about 3 mins at AZs'. For range, getting void is a great idea. If you can stand PC, do so. And ranging blue dragons in the Watchtower dungeon i hear is better then greens in the CT.
  15. That's the beauty of it. Because you can't camp them, they'll only stabilize around what they're worth, or what people are willing to pay for them(As long as you're taking price manipulation out of the picture). But, OT: I think you should wait. I don't think the SOL makes *that* much of a difference. Considering you already need the money to get decent equipment and your runes.
  16. Unless you want to spend the time getting void, or the time making money for armadyl, archer ring, ranger boots, and ranger ammy. You have the best you can get atm.
  17. Have you tried rebooting?
  18. Just to clear it up, You can *not* Get Raven eggs from MTK, for what ever reason. I guess Jagex wanted to make them special and more of a accomplishment. I heard somewhere that oak trees give more birds nests then any other tree, although I'm not 100% sure about that. But if it was me, i would just chop ivy and pay attention. You're getting more EXP, and still have a chance at one. I'm sure you'll get at least 1 by 99 WC, if that is some sort of goal for you by any chance.
  19. I have a berserker pure at the moment too, but he is nowhere near maxed. But, when i do get there(someday) i plan to move up when i lose interest. Meaning, get 60 defence and see how a dragon pure works out. Then 65 for a bandos pure, 70 for a barrows, and 75 for a DFS tank. The main reason i plan to do this is because I'm a huge research junkie. I love testing different things and finding out which is the most efficient. But if you have lost interest in a berserker pure, i encourage moving on to find new, more fun experiences. EDIT: Moocky, you just gave me a new quote for my siggy XD
  20. I've made countless experimental accounts in F2P, and i smithed steel for all of their cash. If you get 10 mining, some decent combat stats(Although you can do with with 1 def and 10 hp easily if you know how you lure the knights) you can do The Knight's Sword. Which will get you to level 29 smithing. And it'll only take about 80 bronze bars(smelting) from there if i remember correctly to hit 30.
  21. Well it really depends on what you're fighting. If you need *minimal*(I stress minimal) defence bonuses for maxed out offense, i would go with this setup: -Mask of Dragith nurn -Rune Platebody -Rune Platelegs -Fancy/Fighter Boots -Rune Gauntlets -Any cape -Amulet of Power/Strength.(Depending on your attack level, and the defence level of what you're fighting) -Explorer's ring -Rune Beserker Shield(It could be charged or uncharged. Depending on how much you value the +2 extra str for the charged version, and how many FoG tokens you have lying around) -Rune Scimitar This should give you the highest damage rate in F2P. But if you want to go for a higher defence setup, just switch out the mask for a rune full helm, and maybe the Berserker shield for a rune kite. If you don't want to bother keeping it charged.
  22. I thought the fail math kinda sucked, but if they do it again I'm sure they'll fix it. Or adjust the information they give so it actually matches the actual degrading time. But i got some decent levels. 1 herby level, 1 rc level, 4 cooking levels, and 3 fishing levels. I know it seems terrible, but i hate skilling to begin with XD Plus, i had my friend over, and we shared the computer every hour. And i was training both my zerker and main. So i got over 20 hunting levels on my zerker.
  23. Aww.. I thought it might have been due to a bug.. Ah well. Guess i have some skilling ahead of me. I could use some total levels though...
  24. I heard somewhere(I believe it was on here) that you can request assistance with some of the diary tasks. Specifically Seer's village. I'd like to see if this is true, because I'll have to get 12 fletching levels, and 4 cooking levels otherwise. Since these are two of the skills i can stand the least, I'd like to avoid this. Even if they're two of the easiest skills to get up. Because i have other skills to get up(Fishing 6 levels, Firemaking 5, and smithing about 7 - 8 for the Varrock diary).
  25. Do you need the stat reqs to start the quest? I know you need the quest reqs. But I'm not sure about the stats. If so are you able to pot up for them?
