I'm actually leaning more toward custom tech trees. Having a standard one doesn't allow for much creativity, nor will it aply very well to everyone. The Garlons are decades behind in the industrial movement with iron work and such. So I'd have to research quite a bit of that before catching up to everyone else. I do however have a distinct advantage in food production and terrain advantage. That's all fine and dandy, but by the look of Doom's current tech tree, Everyone could catch up to me in a matter of days. I think we should have a standard tech tree, but allow for a little bit of customization. Have like a "special" branch for each tribe. Kind of like how in Age of Empires, the tech trees are vaguely the same, but some things are added or removed depending on your allegiance.

You don't have to be a jerk to "diappear" Ignoring isn't a very nice move, but keeping yourself occupied and busy with other things not only gets her off your back, but it ups your personal "value". Make up something cool, but believable. The less busy you seem, the less attractive and interesting you'll be.

Nothing weird about starting a conversation with an aquantance. How else would you make friends? (or relationship partners) My town also has the problem about no real teenage hangout area. I suggest you join some local groups and clubs from your community (county wise, not just limitted to city). I've done this, but I'm not always satisfied wit hthe people I meet. Go visit a liberal arts college. Their loaded to the brim with interesting people. And at 16 you can pass it as a college visit. Or get a bunch of friends and chill at the local mall, like myself. Decent amount of interesting (albeit strange) people. most of them are between 12-17 so that's still your age group.

I believe I'm up to 6 carrier ships now, with a 7th half way done. If I remember correctly, my reformatting was Last Thursday? This would mean virtually all of my citizens have gone through suffiecient military training. Not to mention the near impossible amounts of bombers, fighters and LAARTs that have been produced. All of which is just building up and chilling. Kind of boring.

and the kingdom version is basically a watered down version of Fire Emblem. The cool part is the community. The interaction. That's why I've stuck around so long, despite obvious flaws in any of these games.

The problem with a correct and current Earth map is that we were afraid that history would simply repeat itself due to distribution of culture and resource.

So his towers should only have 1 RNG and not 3? cause that would make more sense if Terrain is made to be standard (which it should be)

Why can't i do both? It's not like theres 5 people in a room thinking about it. It's a simple matter of my normal construction workers becoming more skilled through practice. Same principle applies to my animal riders. The more they do it, the more skilled they'll get at it. It's not really "research" per say. But that's what we all recognize it as.

oh fine. but that leaves afew people at a distinct disadvantage. I open trade with any player, food for ironcast armor or weaponry. I am also "researching" advanced husbandry to further improve my rider's skills. "research" also placed in advanced wall construction, possibly to make strong rock walls.

My map has the same key as anyone else's. my "plain" just looks like an uglier yellow than Ross's. And to Fadooda, welcome :D I don't think we're using an Earth map though, so just a sa heads up from your Egyptian takeover plan.
