Fair enough, but the fact that these rules don't apply to the hegemony imply that these rules don't apply to 50% of this particular subforum. I'm familiar with the TIF rules, and I do my best to abide by them. But stating that there shouldn't be any swearing isn't going to stop it in all honesty. Yes the censors blcok the words themselves, but that's not giong to make them disappear.

I don't see how alot of those rules apply to Hegemony. There will be swearing. I guarentee it. And seeing as how acting as a country isn't really a "character" I'm gonna load up a surplus of smiley emoticons and collect all the neglected ones other users will aparently leave behind. And If I kill you. You're dead. I'm not asking for your written consent, granting me permission to slaughter you. But I suppose, this is why I don't role play. I'm a tactition, and a strategist, not a role player.

I think he jsut outgrew us. It happens, no hard feelings really. @Istolethepie That sounds eerily simliar to how I met my girlfriend, who I then ended up dating for two years. I didn't knwo she existed, but then she was heavy on the flirting, and two days later we were dating. And i don't think girls care if the guys they date are younger. It depends on the girl, that's not a trait you can reallly generalize. I know a sophmore(highschool) that's dating a girl thats a freshman in college. It's not a common thing, but it can happen.

I'm gonna try multi-threading, but if Mideval becomes as popluar as this (10+ pages in the first day) I may have to quit one. And at this point, the mideval one looks a little more fun. And balanced. I would like to see the Mideval thread come up pretty soon though. I'm jsut about ready for it.

So basically our combat system is a very slow variation of Fire Emblem? (including sprites, lol) I'm okay with everything else, but that just seems rediculously slow. I'll go along with it, but anyone warring with me is gonna have to realize that I only spend like 30min-1hour on TIF. I'm not sure if that's an advantage or not. *goes off to write up cultural background sheet D&D style*

wtf is OS MS DS? I assume you mean Magic, Offense, and Defense, but i thought there was no magic? Also, what is a unit value? How is it determined? What is the limit? I'm confused. Furthermore, can we finish this thread before we spam it up with more Mideval discussion?

Don't talk about Ginger like that. He's done more for the people of this thread than you can imagine. And that's a terrible lesson to learn StrOwez. Atleast in the way you said it. i agree that all the good girls are taken, but that just means you should act on it whenevr you get the chance. Not jsut settle for something less. Basically, you gotta step up to the plate before someone else does. I think that's a better lesson.

Well we can always edit it and add an island or two. I did it for the Zhoeruc map, I, or anyone really could do it fo rthe Pangea map.

I prefer this. I don't like the topigraphical thing too much for actual representation of borders. For reference it's great though. Grim's can be used as a geographic map for resources.

Somehow, you guys posted 5 times in the time it took me to post 1. Anyway, I'm all for the Pangea map. It's basically the same principle as the Age of Empires map, which was my suggestion. Now to custom build an entire culture :evillaugh:

Actually we wont be replaying history for one thing we are all starting on a level playing field its how we take it from there is what matters (well in terms of population) Also with a little research you can find a good place to start resource wise just about anywhere. But certain countries will have more resources than they know what to do with, where others won't have any. Ever wonder why the Vikings travelled everywhere and piliged everything? Because their homeland sucked. A lot. Their homeland couldn't support any agricultural growth, nor was the temperature all that bearable. So they went around Europe taking other people's land and resources. The Natives (America)? They had more resources than they knew what to do with, so they never left. They were content where they were, and never had the urge to explore. Meanwhile, otehr European things were so close together that they started having conflicting opinions on very trivial matters, and began to slaughter each other. This eventually lead to such atrocities as the Crusades. There's no reason why with the real map, that History won't repeat itself damn near exactly.

Ginger Warrior, you've returned! Your presense has surely been missed. This thread isn't what it used to be without you and Goddess. You guys helped me through so much, so whether you see this post or not, thank you for all that you've done. For me, and the countless others you helped guide with your incomparable maturity. Thank you. @Lent You're only a Sophmore? I never would have guessed. Not only are you pretty big for you age, you have a certain air about you (from what I can tell in your posting lol) that makes you seem older. Strange. That's a hell of a story though. I'm certainly jealous :P

Dusty, not to start an argument, but I have been researching my recently announced tech for some time now, being recognized as "neutron observation" and use of the LHC built a week or two ago. So I think my last post was within reason. I designed my country to turn on a dime into a military nation, I just really didn't want it to come to that. Seeing all of this discussion of the Mideval thread has got me thinking. Some "tribes" or "civilizations" are going to be a hell of a lot better prepared (advanced) than others. Despite it's complications, I for one think it'd be better to just randomize a map, then custom build our own cultures. Similiar to Age of Empires. This would take much more time and effort, but in return it'd be much more fun than replaying history over and over. I withdraw my will to play as the Native Americans. If my wish is not met, I'll play as the Danes. But I'd prefer an original map setting, with customizable cultures.

For the mideval thread, I'm formally "dibs"ing control over the Native Americans. Basically the United States. As for this thread: All ships are to immidiatly report to Mars for militarization. Bombers and fighters (from British tech) are to be mass produced ASAP. Hypnopaedic training will also begin effective immidiatly. LAARTs will also be loaded up, and filled with standard infintry weaponry (the very same as Latino's from our trading deal). Heathen is to be loaded with more guns. Including the experimental Photon Canon. This cannon is the result of all of the neutron experimentation, and LHC work. These shots will completetly eliminate life within a certain area (pending size of shot fired) with out causing any infrrastructural damage. 6th Carrier is to be produced. 5th is done. 2nd Warship is in production. Army will be made up of every able bodied citizen (which is damn near everyone thanks to my age defying human race). I don't like being a war nation, but seeing as this thread isn't lasting much longer anyway...

You fail to remember that Hegemony isn't a Role Play. It's a text based strategy game.
