Interesting read. I know it would lead to completion of the skill, but I think jagex would need to make soul runes more useful before soul runecrafting would be a viable option in runecrafting.

longsword has more stab i believe. Both Longswords and Rapiers damage are halved at corp, so neither of them are a good option. The only weapon that is not damage halved at corp is the Z spear and possibly SoL (Source?). The Rapier is good for monsters or players with low defense. Maul is the best PvP KO weapon, and CLS is pretty much the best for everything in-between. If you had a choice of which to get 1st, I would go with the CLS as it has a all around usefulness to it. From my friend who uses it to solo Bandos, he said it is far superior than a whip on bosses. Where do people get this fact from? It's been confirmed by jagex that no weapons have damage reduction against corp. Therefore both rapier and longsword would be better than a zammy spear. Where has that been confirmed? I have personally seen that my vesta long did not hit over low 20's. I'm not entirely sure, but I know jagex havn't confirmed that other weapons have decreased damage against corp. I love seeing people who don't seriously corp trying to argue that weapon damage isn't halved. There's a reason why the elite corp teams still only use spears at corp, even with the new chaotic weapons...

It's funny how I've had 1-2 d meds per task, a visage, and never seen kbd heads. I do every black dragon task on KBD, which is 80-95 slayer now.

Sigils are far easier to snipe. By this, I mean that you can get an offer in much later for a sigil and still get it in the GE. However, they update so rarely that half the luck is being available once every few months when they do. Partyhats are EXTREMELY hard to get on the GE, especially red-blue. If you look through the highest priced items traded index, only 3 types of partyhat have been traded in the last week, and I doubt more than 1-2 were sold of each. Think of the thousands of people out there all trying to snipe partyhats. Word has it that you have to get a partyhat offer in within 5-10 seconds to even have a chance of getting on the GE, while you have a few hours to get a sigil offer in.

It completely depends on the skill. Runecrafting is the slowest xp by hour, followed by mining. Those with high runecrafting and mining probably have pretty low numbers. I personally have 32k xp per hour. But I have low cooking/fletching/firemaking/construction.

But I AM hot, and everyone else IS fat. Really, this is a pretty sardonic look at player types. I think the category that I fall into, along with lots of forum users, is the... Past Experience Player We used to play a lot, and now we still play a good amount, but we rely mainly on past achievements to carry us throughout the game and simply play for fun or to kill time every now and then. Some of us have a good amount of money, but we aren't particularly good at making more of it. Sometimes, we can tend to be arrogant due to being "old school" and being of a higher age than the average RS player, but we are still sociable and love to help people out with the knowledge we have acquired over the years of playing the game. I know that myself, along with most of my friends, fall into this category.

Interesting. Are you saying they are like dark beasts in that they won't range you initially, but only after you begin fighting and move away? I thought they could always range you.

Look, people have differing views on how valuable the item is. Some people want it, others don't. All of this arrogant bickering one way or the other is really just a difference in opinion. I hate to see phrases like "get over it" and words like "butthurt" used on these forums. It's just classless.

Soul wars is a definite no random spot, and castle wars is often crowded with familiars and other people. I did my xp weekend herblore alone at soul wars, and it was great.

Not being able to get the flag is like missing a holiday event. While some people don't care (and it's obvious on this thread), others like to either have the item themselves or at least have everyone have an equally fair opportunity to obtain it. Jumping on people like qeltar, who simply support fairness in this mess, makes no sense to me. Personally, I am very rarely upset with things Jagex does, and this, as I previously stated, infuriates me.
