  1. And this is where I point out he never lumped anyone together, he just said some PKers were [wagon]. Very wrong. He went as far as to suggest Jagex shouldn't have brought back PvP because there are some PKers who are idiots. This stereotype is, IMO, around 70% false. And below 99% don't even bother. No, he didn't. He said Jagex should keep the idiots he's talking about out. You're the one lumping them together, not him. I find it hard to keep idiots out and keep the normal players in, especially since many of these idiots don't break rules. Currently, no rule or feature of the game requires not being delayed, so yeah. Who am I lumping together again? Assume I just did. After all, that's what you're doing. During several posts of yours, you talk of the offenders as "PKers", without any clarification, occasionally throwing in a "most" to make it seem like you are not using a stupid stereotype. If you think I'm an idiot because I PK (I do), say it to my face right here.
  2. If you use mage via the magic screen, and right-click to find your target, you can get him since there will only be attack options.
  3. I agree. Until I actually get a 99 in a skill, I have no need for them. Something like a way to store our Random Event clothing would be much more appreciated. The floor works great for me \ Yeah, seriously, those mime clothes are fugly as hell.
  4. ROFL @ Jagex celebrating Thanksgiving. Now I've lived through all that's worth living for. :
  5. Good luck to getting 138 combat. I won't cheer you on the non-99 str goal, though. I've got to ask you: do you really think that the -1 str matters? Or, what's more, is it a max damage breakpoint? Because if not (and IMO, even if yes) you're just cutting down on XP.
  6. You're F2P, you can't steal anything. :
  7. But do you realise how much we LOST too? There is still no decent replacement for solo PKing and the old way of merchanting is dead -- replaced with making huge investments and hoping they'll rise. Don't forget it's still very hard to give items to friends Whell, true we did loose an easy way to making money. Merchanting was really never my buisness. But I did profit around 500k from the GE when lobsters went up with "merchanting". But you have to admit that, coming closer to the end, the wildy was getting really frustrating. But, skillers profit quite from the update since bots are virtually gone. A few still hang on but that' s like a drop in the ocean compared to the times before Dec 10th. And giving items to friends, whell, I' m sure alot of us miss that but I still smile when I see all those empty yew spots. I'm curious about your favorite yew spots. (Unless you're talking about members' worlds.) With bots gone, humans immediately took their places. Willows are much emptier, true.
  8. Why do you take every attempt to have a rant at pures? From your post it seems YOU are the narrow minded one My opinion = What you said, except in a much cruder way. I tried using a str ammy and a power ammy on the strength pure recently. While I generally like the power ammy since statistically it should be better, I find I perform better with a str ammy on the pure. Despite that, though, I always use a power amulet since I always think "no use having high str if I don't hit"... and it's not like the power ammy gave 0 str, it's just 4 str lower for +6 of the other stats.
  9. Valid points, but not by as much as you think. The increased accuracy over D scim is minimal. About the same difference between bronze and iron. Str bonus is nice, but it won't increase your max hit unless you are about to in combination of other things, Spec is good, but damage still is not as good. Stab is a bonus. But where would you use it? Also, your thinking of 4-5 ratio is correct, but your thinking is incorrect. If you take out the randomizer, and hit the max everytime, D scim would win in a absolute landslide. Dlong spec or not. If you think about it, 4 more hits with +1 damage over D scim(best case scenario), is not going to offset a EXTRA HIT. Would you rather hit 25-20-0-24, or 24-24-24-24-4? hehe, fixed Fix'd: The revenge!

Yeah? Say that to his face. I'm not saying this as in "ROFL MY FRIEND IS AN IDIOT", I'm saying this as in "This is the truth, ph34r me".

  12. Actually, considering some of the updates having a decent CS where we don't get banned unfairly for stupid things all the time would be better.
  13. Har har, noob stories. "The story of Bono the ultranoob" "When noobs collide" "Noobalot in Runescape" No thanks. My only problem with RSOF is that there are threads randomly strewn all over those forums which reek of a lobotomy patient's "intelligence".
  14. Well, we could also say getting 99 agility by catching a toy mouse over and over is an achievement, but it's just inefficiency. Same here. Whether you pay RS gold or real gold (as in the membership costs) is, to me, irrelevant in this aspect.

There's a friend of mine who PKs with sub-25k gear with his strength pure. He only gains addy stuff, but apparently it adds up over time so much, he doesn't lose money, and even gains some depending on his luck... Now to address the actual topic, one thing on safing. If someone eats, then he can't fight. If someone constantly has to eat, he may be impossible to defeat, but you won't lose anything other than the used up runes/arrows (if applicable). If he fights back, he is risking and thus can be defeated. 1-2 lobster losses are negligible against someone who builds a fortress of food around himself. With the high levels, yes, stalemates are the only problem, because the defensive capabilities increase more than the offensive ones (in F2P). I don't know about corrupt drag weapons, but even if they were godly things I wouldn't buy them for several hundred K just to be able to kill for 20 mins and get back an addy item for my money. You're forgetting a bind can also be used in fighting in teams and to escape. For 2 and 4, I agree 100%.
  16. 1.What do you do on the game? - I do the daily chores, then usually skill/quest and do "fun stuff" at a 2-3:1 ratio, trying to combine the two as often as possible. 2.What do you find more important, high skills or fun? - High skills. If I want only fun, I'll play Unreal Tournament or some other game. That doesn't mean I don't strive to have fun. 3.When was the last time you had fun on runescape? - Last time I logged on.
  17. No. As far as I'm aware the idiot/not idiot status has little to do with age - it has to do with the particular person, rather. And 16+ doesn't even play, much less be a newb.
  18. Apparently, yes, you're stereotyping. Anyway, as you said yourself: money. If they actually asked you for a fight instead of just beating you up without warning, then yes, they're idiots, but Jagex knows this (that's why the ignore list is there). It's not like PvP is the source of all evil either, there are lots of more idiots in RS anyway.
  19. Nice rant, I agree with almost everything here. I always tend to groan "finally, after 6 months" whenever I see some of the more obvious fixes. Just one thing... ever considered that we might have a new theme music right now? It was about time for a bit of change.
  20. Recently, JaGex updated runite rocks so that you can take a pickaxe to it and make smaller pieces. This made the runite prices shoot straight up (1 piece is now 18k ea, 2 pieces are now 36k ea). This has also led to an influx of miners at the runite mining spot. Little do these NOOBS know, the runite does not sell on the g/e and is impossible to get rid of even in junk trades. Im ranting about noobs who come into the mine while im powermining my way to 99 and steal my rocks, and i try to explain that runite doesnt sell, and they dont listen. theyre stupid. there. i said it. theyre plain idiots. kno i have to fight for rocks, and my mining exp per hr (400-600) will be much slower. and I DONT WANT THIS!!! any of u have the same situation (the powerminers, not noobs) Edited title, remember to turn off Caps Lock before typing your title, and also to limit use of the exclamation point. ~ Shazarabbit(sometimes I get an overwhelming urge to spam)
  21. Can you give us a pic of that? I want to laugh at it.
  22. No it wouldn't, it wouldn't be in F2P. Why all these different things? We don't need this complication. If you want a million different ways to cook fish, try UnReal World.
