  1. I do this, but with a bow. Honestly I like being able to pop off quick, 1s shots instead of waiting for it to charge. I don't wait for it to charge, which does 150 dmg per headshot if I remember, while the bow is somewhere between 115-130 due to random damage. I've been getting back into the groove of the normal rifle, which is probably a good thing. It's a bit of adjusting compared to huntsman but will probably be better to get back to it. (considering my top score with huntsman was no where near the 33 points I've gotten with rifle). edit: Might start playing soldier more again. Had a real nice score after a round of cp_well, me and my medic were double everyone else's on the servers score.
  2. I would love to see TF2 in MLG. It really is one of the best balanced fps's around IMO.
  3. Got the jqDock working now. If I'm good it should take me about another week to finish the site, if i don't put it off. Now that I have the hard javascript stuff figured out I'll probably work faster. :) edit: got a slight problem: First off I think I'm going to do the text inside of the lightbox instead of on hover. This is because the hover script erdoth showed me conflicts with the jqDock, and doesn't work. (>_<). So I decided to do the lightbox text, except the problem is this: The title is going off of the jqDock "title" command, and places the text as you hover over it, and it ignores the lightbox. I'm not sure what to really do about this -- like if there is an alternative to lightbox that doesn't use "title" or is there a way to work around it? edit: Also if you go to my site for some reason it doesn't show the javascript stuff, but it does if I just preview it myself. Why is this?
  4. Pink Floyd's One Of My Turns.
  5. It's more than fine.
  6. I'll say it again, love the games concepts (full PvP, in depth crafting and character development) hate the game. No other game causes me to fall asleep like EVE does. (I've tried getting into the game at least 3 times.)

Except that in most cases the user wouldn't have bought the product anyways, effectively causing no harm at all. You can't remove revenue if you wouldn't have bought the item in the first place. :) And then one could go on to talk about the word of mouth advertisement that they would get from you telling others about the album/band. It's not all black and white. I did say if you bought it legally, but you're right, I can't fault your argument. My point was probably too simplistic. I would question your argument for more well known bands, though. If they're popular enough to be known and their music is freely avaliable either in store or on the internt (e.g. itunes or something like that), then the avaliability of illegal downloading probably puts a dent in sales. I've not done any hard research into that, though. There isn't any research I know of of piracy having a direct cause with lessened album sales, but there is research of it not harming music sales. [1][2]. :) I still stand by that bands should learn to deal with how music is obtained now and try and adapt. NIN and several others have made a successful jump to a more updated model of selling music. Of course places like the RIAA doesn't want this shift because they lose money out of this. Artists going as their own record labels is really the way forward IMO.
  8. Install XP on it, of course! There's a 64 bit version of XP too ;) Suggesting XP64 because you dislike vista is the funniest thing I've ever heard.
  9. Yeah that's pretty much anyone will ever see.
  10. I like the layout but I would really tone down the bevel personally.
  11. Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced 1+2, both really solid games. They are a bit more like a mix of strategy and RPG though, no building units and stuff in them. I would go for FFTA2 personally, since it is for the DS.

  13. My laptop uses Vista 64, with 4GB of DDR3 ram. I like the OS. Very stable and support for both 32 bit and 64 bit is perfect. The fear of your applications not working in a 64 bit OS is something of the past. :P

  15. Yeah I remember the day when AMD just beat the [cabbage] out of intel on performance. These days it's intel or bust for me. :P
  16. Am I the only person who gets tired of these threads that pop up every few months about schools that institute a "no hugging" rule. It just seems like something the media blows totally out of proportion every few months when they need some attention.

I love adrenaline rushes, I just like being in control of them. (Skateboarded for 2 years, I prefer to be in control of what I'm doing so it was fun).
  18. It'd be very hard to do. That's all I'm going to say.
  19. Putting WoW in MLG seems like a really silly move, it's anything but balanced. Anyways I don't really pay attention to MLG. I don't care for Halo and I don't want to watch GoW2 or WoW either.
  20. Awesome. I'll check all of that out tonight. Question though, what should I do about the fact that I want to combine several javascript things at once? Like, I want to hover over the thumbnails and when you do so it changes the text/large image on the bottom, and if you click on it I want it to go to a lightbox thing. Is that possible?
  21. Yeah I'll give jQuery a shot. I wasn't really "set" on any one thing, it was the only one I found. :P
  22. Angra is incredible, I almost forgot about them. Their rebirth album really is a rebirth of the band too. If you listen to their early albums they really sucked, and then they put out this gem... incredible.
  23. I need to listen to this. Aside from Maudlin of the Well like SilverSword posted I'm going to go ahead and say Angizia seems to be really underrated. It's an incredible, incredible band, but also a pretty difficult to get into one. One of my favorite bands though.
  24. So I think I'm going to use the dojo framework, any thoughts on that or any experiences with it? I want to implement the Fisheye Widget for my thumbnails bar, except making it a lot more subtle. Still I've looked around at the coding for it and being extremely new to javascript it's all a little confusing.
