It doesn't help that a lot of early metal bands would use words such as "Satan" more as a metaphor than anything. (I'm looking at you, Black Sabbath). Of course to a parent who would have happened to catch wind of some lyrics I could see the confusion. But I wouldn't pay attention to them. Sure some metal does have very anti-Christian lyrics, and there are a few who would really classify themselves as Satanists (although I think most Black Metal artists generally like Paganism) but it's certainly not everything out there. It's not like you're going to get any logic out of someone like that anyways.

The entire point of EVE is to do that. When I PvP in games all the time my main goal is to hinder the enemy player. It's no fun if you play like a little [bleep] and don't hurt anyone (a carebear). And stop with comparing them to /b/ and 4chan, they are two separate things entirely (something awful and 4chan) even if 4chan did come from an old Something Awful user. I'm starting to think you guy's think any wacky things that happen on the Internet comes from 4chan.

Not bad. a 9600GS would be able to handle a bunch of stuff, although more demanding games like GTA4 would probably need to be toned down.

You know, I thought EP2 was one of the best Half life's to date. Well, except for Half life 1 that is. I can see how it is more of the same though, even though I loved the more open environments. Bioshock was a fun game. I enjoyed the little bit about why do gamers do what the game tells them to do, was an interesting little addition. I thought the ending kind of sucked though, and it did borrow a ton from System shock 2 (storyline wise). I haven't really been playing much of anything new. Still the same old stuff. I've been playing with bots mostly. Pretty bad online atm. :P

Go to Radio Shack or Bestbuy (or some place similar) and buy an anti-static wrist strap. You can get one for less than $10 and it could save you from frying very expensive components. Yep, I'm also gonna stand on a sheet of metal, as added protection, hopefully that should be enough. O_o. You just need an anti-static wrist strap if you're that worried.

That's mostly just ADTRW, as they're about the only ones who are actually like that in real life. I don't understand whether you're saying that you think posting anonymously decreases the number of insane posters or not? Also, guys, like Jaziek said... The subscription thing is a joke. Nah, I just meant that on something awful they aren't anonymous, so you really get to see the amount of... weirdness. 4Chan has a ton of insane posters too, just you don't know which insane poster is which. :P

If you want to game that is not the PC to get. The video card is horrible and I'm not a fan of Athlon X2's. Look for a full sized PC with a normal video card.

54 is ok. I'm guessing you'll mostly run around 45C-50C maximum in games. I had a CPU running at close to 60C before for a while without any real problems. I would just, down the road, maybe spend like $20-$30 and get yourself a nice heatsink, like the Freezer Pro 7 or something. That coupled with a good brand of thermal paste should help keep temperatures down!

Just try and see what it levels out at. Orthos usually ends up making your CPU run a little hotter than you'll have under normal conditions.

Really it's not that sound of a theory. It might make more sense from something like cocaine to ending up at a harder drug like Meth but I really just don't see Marijuana being a real gateway to hard drugs. Granted I think that percentage is skewed, because what cocaine or crack addict wouldn't have tried Marijuana before? I think a better poll would be marijuana users of a certain number of years to see if they use any other drugs.

Two ways. You can either: A. Just play a game for a bit, something fairly intensive. Of course you'll have to just window down after a bit if you only have 1 monitor to check temps. B. Download Orthos. It is a program that allows you to stress test your CPU and/or RAM, and will let you easily see what the max temperature the CPU can get up to quickly. I would recommend B just to be safe.
