stupid move imo. pvp should be risky -.- .hell this is just going along with the babying of the post-trade generation. half of them think that revs are what make the wild scary, they have no idea what a scam is and have never had to try to actually sell or buy anything themselves.

i for one highly doubt that it will be night/day. i think it will be along the lines of a customization skill in runescape. it fits the criteria for the lightbulb and also for what they said has never been done before.

new skill=personal customization? it would fit the light bulb and would be something completely new for rs and most of the games it's type

i did mine on the third day and sold it for 12m my elite for 5m and the d'hi for 3m. what is the moral of the story? always be ready to do a new quest rigth when it comes out.

well the item that will hurt the most in the dh set. while it still has uses other than pvp such as ape atol(different places there including gorillas and skeletal). It's main use was in fact pvp and many "normal" players at this point aren't willing to take that much of a risk of loosing a 5m helm while needing to be at low hp to use it. i suspect it will go down to 3m at least

You are probably one of those player who just see the game as numbers and clicks on the minimap instead of the screen and miss out on the world around you. Appreciate the little things, gives it a nice homey feeling inside. At this point(ever sense mmg really) Jagex has been on a very rocky road as far as updates and content go. if the game continues to be updated as it has been in the past 7 months i dont like it will last another 5 years, much less the 10 they want it to. Jagex doesn't have time to make small updates that you will visit once and never return. What they need to do is figure out pvp and stick with it. then start cranking out some updates for the skillers and questers that have been oh so neglected this last 7 months or so. At this point in time runescape as we know it is completely unstable. Even if you don't pvp the only way to avoid its disasterous effects is to be 100% self sufficient. Actually without small graphical updates such as this most of this game would be 5 years behind. These small updates are what make the game continue to evolve. What if dragons looked the same as the start of RS2? it isn;t graphical though, it is content. i dont give a damn what the graphics team does they are doing a great job as of now.

easiest fix, make it so ytou can use item protect. i see no point in now being able to. why not just remove it then along with smite?

Today, well 2 days ago really, i bought a dh set in the ge for 7m to use for non-pvp purposes. Today jagex completely wiped out the demand for the dh set. Fml!

What names do you think people would see in public (as in just mousing over/right-clicking someone)? the nickname, unless of course the username feature is set to public, in which case they will see that.

I believe that no matter what the person who comes last should hop, it is a matter of simple kindness and compassion for other human beings. I also am surprised by how much of an [wagon] people can be when they are hidden behind the internet. Surely you do realize that on the other side of that other players avatar is another human being. If you then after realizing that go ahead and are going to be greedy and mean to said player because they are lower level than you, you are then saying that you are better than them, which robin actually said. And if you realize that there is another player there you are basically saying that you are better than that other person, and it is that sort of thinking that leads to genocide. So to sum it up. you make 35k a task just from points if you average out the 100 tasks. i would rather do 12 different monsters in groups of >200's than 1 monster for that same time.

another note is that if there is a nickname feature it will greatly reduce account theft/hacking. The way they could do the friends thing is such as irc does it. you log in and you get a message "Great_one330 is know known as Barsad_Cly." and maybe so it is easier to keep the names straight you could right click the name in the friends list(not public) and click the option "view username" and the person will only be able to see it if the other guy has the option turned on public/friends/off such as the other things.

this in my opinion is just another waist of time for Jagex. the current system is fine the way it is, and to do this will require more tweaking than ma did, and we all know how that turned out.

I'm not going to argue over most of your points as they are well-founded however, the weapon triangle is the same. Dwarfs use melee, elves magic, and goblins range. i have never once seen a elf use mage or a goblin use range ingame
