Efficiency
Like Bladewing said, efficiency and fun don't have to be mutually exclusive of one another. When I play a game, I like to get good at it. In Runescape, being good means being fast (read: efficient). The only skill that I don't train efficiently is Dungeoneering, but I blame Jagex for that (there are so many cool armors and items, yet we can only have two of them until level 100?). Contrary to popular belief, the players who preach efficiency on these forums AREN'T sacrificing fun for it. I know xpx says that the best slayer block list is one that has tasks that you just don't like, even if they're technically good tasks. This is because people tend to be more efficient when they're having fun. Personally, I've chosen to bind two weapons in dungeoneering because just having a prom 2h and hood isn't fun for me, thus I'm more likely to train the skill if I have binds that I like (and training a skill is much more efficient than NOT training a skill if you need exp in it). People who hate efficiency just don't understand it, I think. They're convinced that being efficient means spending hundreds of millions for minuscule boosts (like using Morrigan's and d stone/onyx bolts for solo Arma or something). To the guy who said that a berserker ring is pointless, it only takes me an hour to make the money for one, and I can't raise my strength level any higher, so 4M seems like a bargain to me.

Extreme potions: cheaper than normal ones?
In that scenario, overloads would be better.

Complete Slayer Task List
Looking forward to seeing this finished.

DFS vs Claws for slaying
I use a steel titan in CT, too. The resource dungeon room makes it nearly as fast as cannoning, but much cheaper (and much more fun, IMO).

Favorite RS Player?
Zarfot changed the way I play (like Zaaps said) with his Mega Slayer Guides, which in turn made me want to be more efficient in everything else I do in Runescape. Durial was a badass, of course. I used to love watching Sxq Power's videos. He inspired me to want to solo boss hunt. Hi Sxq.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
WOW, congratulations man. That's [bleep]ing awesome.

200M in all Skills
He's going for 1-120 dungeoneering SOLO on his third account, too. He's insane, but impressive.

I'm finally dungeoneering. That's ALL I'm doing for the next week or so. I got 76 today. I also got a celestial staff, which I bound in place of my primal skirt. I love it. It's so much more fun using two weapons. [bleep] hoods, I'll never get one anyway with my luck. Gonna try and get a primal rapier, too. Had HORRIBLE luck with two of the three floors I did today, but I gained like 150k exp so that's cool. 85 is my goal. I'm gonna range/cannon frost dragons for 99 ranged and prayer. Oh, and my herblore goal is now 99, as I'll get it while making the number of overloads that I want anyway. If dungeoneering takes off for me, I may consider getting that to 99, too, as all chaotic weapons are better than just one.

Chinning VERY Fast
Skeleton monkeys are better experience, and Stonewall doesn't need to curb any costs.

I thought the same thing. :D

DFS vs Claws for slaying
Hi, another 99 slayer posting to say DFS sucks for everything but wyverns and certain bosses. Claws are the best melee spec weapon there is (in terms of DPS). Sell DFS, buy claws, start saving up for extremes and turmoil, especially if 99 slayer is your goal. Like someone else said, anyone who voted DFS was drunk and misclicked.

Kiting in Runescape
Kiting is really only useful in a select few circumstances. If there were spells that drained run energy and pushed your opponent backwards, I think it'd be a much more accepted term. That said, I've seen videos of Taco Limey kiting with ice barrage and a chaotic maul.

I killed Haakon. No one [bleep]s with Obtaurian. NO ONE.

HI 99 MAGIC OMFG@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@2

99 Magic.
I'm really proud of this one. I've wanted 99 magic for YEARS, and it's a pretty significant chunk of my goal (maxing combat). Thanks to Jax and Furah for being good friends. The rest of you suck. Just kidding. <3 1-86 via random stuff. 86-97 mage-slaying (first with CoG, then fire surge). 97-99 stringing amulets while doing homework and watching TV.

I've always thought you were pretty badass. I've always enjoyed reading your posts, too. Good luck with college. It's tough, but MUCH better than high school.

Extreme potions: cheaper than normal ones?
So YOU choose to do things the hard way, then complain? Whatever floats your boat.

1,500 - done. 1,800 or 2,000?
He only did because multiple posters informed him that 1,500 total is pretty low. There's nothing subjective about that. It's low.

Super EE or Claws

1,500 - done. 1,800 or 2,000?
The point, All_Is_Great, is that telling someone how to do something in a H&A thread is completely different from telling someone how much time they should spend on the game, how they should play, etc. Like Bladewing said, the H&A forum is used by people who actually WANT someone to point them in the right direction, and like Kimberly said, they're ALWAYS going to get the most efficient advice if they're not specific about what they want. So, yes, Pulli was being a hypocrite. No one else was.

Who will get 200m Dunge XP first?
Rela Rela5 seems to be pretty determined to be #1. I had no idea who he/she was until he/she shot up to #1.

15-Sep-10 Z-Buffering
This is NOT true. My in-game sounds are ALWAYS off, yet I could always hear the opening music.

Does Ext range pots affect the cannon?
Villandra proved that your ranged level (and thus, level boosts from potions) affects your cannon. I believe you can find her thread on Zybez.

Extreme potions: cheaper than normal ones?
you're not supposed to base the value of your time on the value of the activity you're doing. You're supposed to it on what other stuff you could be doing with your time. Hence this concept is called opportunity cost Anyways I hope you don't base your overall opinion of efficiency on a few trolls. Runescape would be a dismal freaking game if I thought that way. I'm not going to camp all day at frost dragons or godwars or tormented demons just to get something done. But for an efficiency troll enamored with opportunity cost its goes something like this: "Kill fire giants on slayer task with range.... use chaotic cross-bow use dragon bolts(e), use cannon, use overloads, bring steel titan/spam scrolls, pray rigour... but first go camp at frost dragons for an hour to cover the costs of that plus the costs incurred while at the dragons when you use chaotic xbow, diamond bolts(e), cannon, rigour... I am efficient huraah task done in 15 minutes l2rs noobs." You don't have to spend any time making money to cover the costs of training slayer, FYI. Using a cannon, turmoil, overloads, and a steel titan, all you need to do is a couple farm runs a day + MTK to cover the expenses, and that's if you DON'T merch.

1,500 - done. 1,800 or 2,000?
That's literally exactly what you're doing. uhm what? - The only thing I said is that you shouldn't play more than 30-90 mins.. Well let me rephrase that: sitting more than 180 mins a day behind a computer is unhealthy and will cause RSI later now I consider the average employee to spent at least 1-2 hours doing administrative work (so behind a pc). And thus my statement that an average person shouldn't play more than 30 - 90 mins a day is simply a medical statement, there's no influence of my own lifestyle (other than that I did experience the bad effects of spending too much time behind your pc and I try to warn children who're still growing and thus more vulnerable to RSI). I played Runescape for about three hours a day from last Wednesday to Sunday. I'm stringing amulets with lunars. I've been mostly reading while I do this (both a book and these forums). I would venture to say that my posting on these forums has given me a greater chance of getting RSI than ANY of the time I've spent on Runescape this past week. Now, that's just one example, sure, but most activities in Runescape are almost as AFKable as that, and I'd guess that the average player spends far more time doing easy skills than hard skills (I'm the opposite). The point is that spending more than 30 minutes behind a computer screen does not give one RSI. It's what you do. I can get RSI from playing guitar (which I do more than I play Runescape). Finally, you telling other people to cut down on their playing time IS telling other people how to live, which is nonsense, because everyone's different. I played for five hours a day this past summer while spending tons of time with my girlfriend, friends, playing guitar, and reading. EVERYONE'S DIFFERENT.
