I started playing Runescape in 1994, and I only respect people who got 99 mining through copper and tin. I like to be efficient. I'm not really a nostalgic player. Classic was fun it its own way, but I much prefer Runescape today. So, in conclusion, I embrace new training methods.

I use turmoil on everything, cannon or not (and I use a cannon as much as possible).

For capes, you listed the 120 dungeoneering cape as being better than a normal trimmed skill cape. Is there a difference in stats?

I definitely agree that in your standard Karil's melee gear, having more than three waterfiends on you would be really bad. However, if you're chinning, you have the option of using armadyl and a spectral spirit shield. I still think it's worth testing, if only to prove that it's not worth it. :D

I kind of agree, but I kind of don't. I think we definitely need more challenging bosses, but a lot of the current bosses are pretty dangerous, require your full attention, and can be pretty hectic. So I agree in that it sucks that bosses like Graar are camped to death, but on the other hand you have bosses like the Corp Beast that can easily KO you in teams. I think you might be getting a somewhat exaggerated account from your friends.

This. In my book, 99 runecrafting, agility, mining, dungeoneering, farming, summoning, herblore, prayer, and slayer are all automatic 10/10s. 99 construction, crafting, and smithing are 8/10s. I also rate 99 ranged and magic pretty high because they're useful and kind of expensive. I think it's somewhat untrue that Rate This! is just for friends. I posted my first 99 (constitution) there, and I got a lot of positive feedback from people I didn't know, and most of the people posting positive feedback were also posting realistic ratings. I got things like "6/10 - good first to have, what's next?" which I think is pretty reasonable. The same thing happened when I maxed melee and posted there. I think the only people who believe Rate This! to be a cesspool for trolls are the people who post 99 fletching/cooking and get defensive when people rate it low. There's nothing wrong with sharing your achievement (unless it's less than 99 in an easy skill), just don't get defensive if not everyone likes it as much as you.

Good points. Thanks. I do remember someone (I think it was Muggi) going to CT fiends with a partner, both using ice barrage, to decent effect. Waterfiends have pretty short range, so you can probably get a bunch of them together if you lure them with bronze knives or something. I think it's worth trying, though I doubt it's as good as melee with a titan. @ Wingless - Slaying waterfiends in the chaos tunnels is the best way to slay them, but it's not really worth doing without an iron titan (95 summoning). With soul split, you can stay down there for the extent of a task usually. EDIT: That's a good idea.

It used to be a waste because the floors only went up to 69 dungeoneering. You'll actually get tokens faster if you can do more floors, so spending penguin points and lamps on dungeoneering isn't a bad idea anymore.

Found out that it'll cost me about 8M for 99 magic, so I'm gonna AFK it since I'm not doing anything else. After that I'm gonna buy some ranged slaying gear and get 99 ranged through slayer. After that I really WON'T have an excuse not to dungeoneer... I think I'm subconsciously waiting for the skill to be complete before I start on it.

Let's see... floors go to 60... We're up to 47 now, at level 93. There will likely be 3 bosses at lvl 95, and there are the Primal Longsword, Spear, 2H Sword, Celestial, Sag, Primal Platebody... Uhh... So lvl 95 for Primal Longsword/Spear/2H Sword, 101 for Celestial Robe Top, 107 for Sag. body, 113 for Primal Platebody? :unsure: Are bosses assigned to levels in a recurring pattern? I just guessed 113+ because I imagine that the final boss (before Bilrach) will be unlocked at a lower level than 119, and 113 sounded reasonable to me. I'm guessing the platebody will be the last item just because it's prestigious.

I imagine that the sagittarian body will be available at a much lower level than the primal plate (relatively, anyway). I'd bet a few GP that the primal plate and 2h will only be available at 113+ dungeoneering.
