    Today...

What? Seven does not rhyme with complete.
  2. Just started playing again today after about a year of inactivity. Lots of new things, to say the least. Ripped [cabbage] up, though, which is weird because I usually didn't do as well before.
  3. My dorm room is on the 5th floor of a 5 story building. According to my roomate, it shook fairly violently and things fell off the shelves (verified when I saw the rolls of quarters on my desk that had been on my shelf). I was in class at the time and didn't feel a thing though. Then later there was an aftershock my roomate felt but I didn't because it was very slight and I was standing. Oh well. And then my friends in DC called and blamed me for the quake.
  4. I don't run into many of these, but I've ran into a few songs that do this. There's a song on this album I own that is 14 minutes long, but there's only music for the first 4-5 minutes. Pretty annoying when I'm listening the the album while in bed and I have to get up to avoid not hearing music for 10 minutes. Ooh,can I guess which one? Is it Mastodon's Blood Mountain album? The last song does that, but there's a little sound bite at the end of that silence.
  5. What are you going to miss? RPG goes drunk again? Tim gets laid? Dizzle wins peace prize? Halo stops posting pictures/gifs? Elk stops making one-liners? Duff stops posting Emma pictures? TIF's fairly static. Yup. Hell, I leave for weeks at a time and things are never different when I get back.
  6. you make me think that Aussie condoms are thicker than American ones. Or maybe you're just not very sensitive? I'unno, I don't mind condoms, but I guess that's just me. As someone who's only ever used them (and not by MY choice), they seriously destroy 90% of the feel. I have yet to actually climax with a chick, and at almost 21 it's [bleep]ing embarassing. Wait, if you've never not used condoms, how do you know how much feel they destroy? For all you know it only gets rid of the 10% that'll out you over the edge to climax.
  7. I can't say I ever found scar attractive but I always did think he was pretty badass. Scar's mate from the second movie, though. Mm'yesma'am.
  8. Classy. I'll be the first to say that one was probably a huge mistake in any situation. Vulgarity is not exactly the language of love, even if you do have to pardon your french.
  9. I think you'll find I have the exact opposite stance. Same avatar for the entirety of my stay at TIF thus far. I hate traffic so bad. DC is the biggest traffic hellhole I've ever seen and there's no way to get around it. There's a lot of public transportation options though. There are,but when you're only passing through DC to get to somewhere much further away those options become slightly less viable.

  11. Reminds me of how fun it is to ask someone to rate something on that scale, when the question can't be answered that way. It always surprises someone when you ask, "On a scale of 1-10, are you going to be here for lunch?" I agree, though. That scale should stick to things like Runescape Achievements. ;) My usual response: "How do I look?" "I give it a 6." "Just a 6?!" "The scale only goes up to 6. And it starts at 3!" And then they laugh and forget what I asked them.

    AP Exams

The degree I'm in (EE) oftentimes takes 5 years. Because of the 27 credits I entered college with due to AP exams, I'm set to go for just 4 years. So there's that. And all that stuff about writing units and making stuff up is true. I'm pretty sure that's the only reason I got a 5 on Physics despite goofing several times.
  13. Ah,the joys of being an [wagon]. "Hey can you buy me this?""[bleep] you, get a job". Simple as.
  14. Hence why people are a little upset. Perhaps once you start driving you'll realize how rude and inconsiderate this is. Why is it rude or inconsiderate? Because you're making multiple drivers wait for you when they have the right of way. Then I contest drivers having right of way. I also have to use this method even when there IS a marked crosswalk because people still do not stop. But you can't contest it, because legally they have the right of way. There's no ifs, ands or buts about it. Does the marked crosswalk have a stop sign? If it doesn't they have no obligation to stop; and once again you have to wait. Actually, pedestrians have the right of way as soon as they enter the crosswalk. In the state of Texas at least. He's not in a crosswalk, though, that's the point. The way I always figure it is that a large 2 ton hunk of metal moving in excess of 40 mph is going to win against my puny flesh body. Therefore, drivers have right of way.
  15. I'd relearn almost everything but chemistry, because [bleep] chemistry, physics is where it's at. And english. I can write well, but I don't enjoy it, and I like to read, but they like to try and find analysis where there is none and those classes gave me nothing. Even though history has little bearing in the engineering world, I'd still retake it because that's just real cool to know. At least, military and European history.
  16. My dad turns off the radio before he turns off the car. That's fine in his own car, but since we work in the same area now we've been driving my car there and back (better mileage) and when I go to drive later only to find the radio is off... I mean yea, it's one button, but still.

    Rumors

    Dr. Seuss, I think.
  18. I'm assuming you're under 25? Maybe you should quit Runescape for a bit and find something creative to do. Take up an instrument. Something to do with yourself that could become a chick magnet, maybe.
  19. Right? I think the phrase 'Internet Hate Machine" is a bit redundant.
  20. And see, that's all fine. I don't mind if you're going a little under, do whatever's comfortable... as long as you're in the right lane. The left is for faster vehicles and passing, of which these people are doing neither.
  21. Personally, I prefer the posts where people argue about penis skin.

    Bathing

I had a pretty good shower schedule during the school year. Sleep in Monday, wake up when my roomate gets back from PT, then shower Tuesday and after PT Wednesday, sleep in Thursday then shower Friday. Sometime skip Saturday, always shower Sunday. Almost an every other day thing, but not really. Now for summer it's usually every other day unless I work out or something.
  23. Unless it's someone I haven't known long (see: less than an hour) I'll just say "I don't care". Screw politeness.
  24. I never seem to post anything optimistic in this thread. It starts off the same as everyone's; there's this girl, and I like her. Met her at university. Lived a few doors down. Not quite from the moment I met her, but soon after, and I never did anything about it. I left for summer on Wednesday, I think she left yesterday. I had one last chance to say something as I passed her on the stairs, me on my way to get checked out of my room, her on her way out to her last exam. I blew it. Didn't say anything. My friend was there, told me I needed to do it then, that I'd regret it and always wonder what-if and all that and well, he was right. I didn't say anything then or any time before because it seemed there was no way she'd feel the same, period. We were good friends sure, but I did a lot to piss her off (though I did to everyone, most people were just better sports about it) all year to the point she banned me from her room a few weeks ago. She was hostile or anything about it so I don't know if I'm making a bigger deal of it in my head or what. Also she livesa few states away, but her mom's in the Army and got orders to DC so she'll be not too far fairly soon. Point of all of this: I want to call her tomorrow. Probably one of the worst ways to do it but I figure if I don't do something soon I never will and I'll always regret it (waiting out the summer until I see her when school starts back up just doesn't seem like an option, it's been hard enough having to think about this for three days, let alone three months. Besides, there's no guarantee I will see her again next year). I just need a verification so I can move on. Although I'm kind of scared of what she'll say either way; no means I'll have failed again, but I wouldn't even know what to do if she somehow agreed with me. And of course if I catch her at a weird time and she's busy or with people or something that'd just be not good. I might be able to say I haven't felt this way about anyone before but I'm not sure if that's true because I can't really remember how I felt about other girls so it may turn out that I'd forget all about her with a three month absence. Advice time: good idea or doomed to fail? Also, is "like" still a term people use in regards to feelings? It just seems so akward to say at this age but when my friend was trying to galvanize me into action he told me to say simply "[Hey], I like you".
  25. This question really depends if you believe in a soul or not. If you dont, then no replacing every bit of your body until there is no original left would make it different. If you believe in a soul it would remain the same. With the ship, its the same, if you believe it is the same when no original bits of it remain you believe that the soul of the ship is what makes it what it is [in this case the soul of the ship is the shape that the pieces meld together to make], but not the pieces. If you dont think the ship would be the same, you believe that the materials that make up the ship are what make it what it is, not a "soul" of a ship Your welcome to disagree with me but when I posted that I was curious if anyone would jump to ask what if it was a human instead of a ship, and what makes a human different then a ship if the answer is different. I think that if you answer that they remain the same regardless of the materials that make them you believe in a soul of something, if you dont think so then it likely means you dont believe in a soul [again you are welcome to disagree with this]. It's all dependent on the ship's Machine Spirit obviously, and any attempts to dismantle it require much prayer to the Omnissiah and can only be done by a tech adept anyhow.
